Are Computers Still a Hobby?

I've been thinking about this since I've seen some discussion in the room about the descriptions of "powerful" systems. Yeah, I have some modern equipment, but, I sure have fun firing up the old 286 and I want to get my old 8086 Hyundai Blue Dot fired up as well. Kinda like ham radio I guess where they are not building their own equipment anymore. I guess I'm a dying breed....
