Instant Messaging Popular Among Teens

In a ChatFest.org story I did today, a recent survey found that instant messaging has replaced e-mail as the favored method of communication among teenagers.

Of course, 99 percent of us in the Groups knew how popular instant messaging is.  I am rather surprised however that the corporate world has really yet to embrace instant messaging over e-mail. Sure, e-mail has its place and importance but instant messaging is so much more flexible for speedy information transmission. Need a quick conference for your project group? Just setup a room and there you go. Combine that with a video server and you have added a visual element on the cheap that some companies pay many thousands for in special equipment and phone lines.
