Well as I reported on Geeksters.org (absoulutely shameless plug), Mandrake 10.0 Community was released into the wild today.  I'm downloading mine now, and I will be installing on my notebook first, giving it a test run, and then installing it on my multimedia machine.  I'm really looking forward to my first use of the 2.6 kernel series.  I can remember when I took my first foray into 2.4 and remembering it did not go too well.  I can remember the problems I had with the way that memory was handled in those early 2.4 versions.  I hope that the statements by the linux community are correct and I won't see those problems this time around.
