Yahoo Chatroom Servers Down

Read this from another Forum Site:
Yahoo Today removed YCHT/Java Chat from the web. It no longer exists. users may be experiencing problems getting into a chat room. until the Yahoo Inc Technical Department can resolve this issue everyone will have to do without being in a chat room. Nobody is in any chatrooms at the moment as they are all down.

Amiga...I dreamt that yahoo has closed down! It was my worst nightmare!!! I woke up in sweat, shaken to the core of my being! I told myself "OMG!! This can't be happening!!" Can you imagine life without yahoo?? No more dramas, no more clones, no more perverts! It's just unthinkable!! But when I logged on this morning, I realized it was just that... a nightmare!

It does appear that Yahoo wants to only support Windows systems officially. There are at least alternatives in the Messenger however. I mention one in the article. No alternative yet in chat room clients for now, but I am sure someone will work on one.

Oh, I want to clarify that I mean web based chat and messenger clients only.
Here is a link to an interesting discussion about login lag times and the like. It turns out nobody is happy about this change.
