Several years ago, some researchers with far too much time on their hands “discovered” if you’re a single woman over age 35, you might as well convert your hope chest into a coffin because you’re out of luck in your husband quest. According to their study, the good ones are all taken, and even the bad ones are gone.

Wow..no wonder... married women now are crying buckets..because they are the one who has the bad ones...hehehe

single where? lol Grin

being single has lots of advantages as in lots IF u know how to use it. First, ofcourse your not commited, you can date as many guys/gals you want. Less pressure also.

But same as it goes it has disadvantages too, when you have someone there to care for u and u feel the same way, the feeling is unexplainable.....

Joy or Curse....it all depends on the person on how she or he can take it.

are we talking about single for life or just single for the meantime?

Rather than spending your time ranting and raving about the non-existent state of your love life , better spend it doing meaningful things with your life.

single could be a curse and a joy....depends on how u want to view ur life. Lots of single men/women are happy, they consider it their vocation. Some are mad at it coz they want to get married and seems the right one didnt come along. Same as married men or women. Love is not at all joy, if few were crying its because its part of life. Lots of singles cried too..how come they never find the right one!...some have regrets and some dont and that's how life operates. Whatever vocation one chooses to be, there's always sadness and joy, failures and success. Its a trial and error case and without risking it, made life a bore. Its always a choice that an individual has to make and it's always risky. No guarantee that it will be always a bed of roses and as sweet as chocolates forever.

IMHO,
singleness as Joy.
1. you can go anywhere and anytime.
2. you can buy anything without someone preventing you anywhere anytime.
3. you can eat anything anywhere anytime.
4. you can wear anything anywher anytime.
5. you can call anyone anywhere anytime.
6. you can sleep anywhere and anytime you like.
basically, ur free if you're single.

singleness as a Curse,
1. when you're tired, no one will give you a warm massage.
2. no one will cook food for you.
3. no one will take care of you when ur sick.
4. no one will make you laugh when ur at your lowest point.
5. no one will remind you of your appointments.
6. its hard to watch movies alone.
7. its hard to eat at food courts alone.
8. its hard to go to resorts alone.
9. its hard to sleep during winter alone.
10. its hard to be alone when you like to make love.
11. its hard to be alone when you still like to talk to national issues, emotional issues, etc.
etc..so many to mention.
