The Passing of Johnny Carson
« on: Jan 25th, 2005, 12:52am » |

Although he retired in 1992, January 23, 2005 will mark the end of a era in American television. I watched Johnny for years and really enjoyed the show. Although I like Letterman, nobody has given me the same folksy and entertaining experience that the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson did. As these television legends like Carson, Steve Allen and Lucille Ball pass on, will there be anyone to replace them in this era of cable television? Goodbye Johnny.....we loved you....

Johnny will certainlly be missed, and has been for a decade. He had a certain....."charm" thats lacking today, although Leno tries. Not a fan of Letterman. Kinda makes you think back to the days if Red Skelton, Lucy, Dick Van Dike, and even Buddy Hackett.
