they does... i remember year 1998 when i was so depressed coz of heartache i read and read inspirational books and before i know it, i was able to accept the reality, and feel no hurt anymore... now, everytime i feel down, i get comfort in reading the books that will make me realized why such things happen..it's BIBLIOTHERAPY.. at least it's free they do change one's personality for we excel in our field because of those books, and not the teachers.. (teachers teach what they have taken from books too) hehehe.

yes they do. because if someone is misbehaving, keep hitting them on the head with a big thick book, hardcover is recommended. after hundreds of times of hitting that person, they'll start behaving.

| i better start discarding our soft bound books now... so i only have the hardbounds left to throw to students who can't keep their mouth shut but hey matt, you make me remember that i did hit a classmate's head with a very thick book wayback when i was still in grade three... i think she liked it, coz she won't stop misbehaving..hehehe.. so we fought for three hours after school on our way home

what you read and watch affects your personality.... if you read porn stuffs all day, chances are you'd be in jail for a sexual offense sooner or later ... if you read about politics and listen to the news everyday (specially here in pi) chances are you'd be so depressed and would want to kill every single damn politician and media here bwahahaha.... If you read on romance chances are you'll be a hopeless romantic person... .. Used to read on that way back when i was full of hope n love .. talk about being hopeless romantic

When I read a book and its a book I really like, I become totally consumed untill im finished. Most books I read I finish in a day or 2. I wont stop to eat, sleep, or do anything. So I would say yes it changes your personality while you are reading it if you read it like I do. I read about 1 book a month. I read newspapers, articles, and magazines mostly to keep me up to date with my job, my interests, and current world affairs.
