Do you find it hard to forgive? How can lack of forgiveness on our part hinder our own relationship with God? Could you forgive & forget?

If you forgive then you not only make the person you forgive feel better but you also lift a burden off of yourself also. Its worth it to forgive.

I got no problem when it comes to forgiving someone as long as I will never ever see him/her again for the rest of life

If to forgive is to also forget then I have a hard time doing it. It would also depend on who did me wrong.

i find it so easy to say "i forgive u" and then i need to pray sincerely in order to forget. That's human nature. Maybe a few has that talent who'll forgive and forget easily and quickly. I can easily forgive, i believe that...but give me few days to forget...healing time. That's all i need.

I think that maybe from the time I was old enough to realize what life is all about, up to the time of my husband's death 4 months ago, I am the one person who has forgiven a lot of people who has done me wrong one way or another. And there are so many of them. Starting from my parents, to the people who has turned their backs on me, or cheated me, or have taken something from me, or accused me falsely, and the last, my husband. But I have forgiven them all. In a way Im grateful, coz they made me a stronger person. They gave me the sight to be able to look what's inside a person's heart and mind, and how to deal better with every kind of person I meet. Im at peace with myself now and closer to God.

we should learn how to forgive...forget the feelings of anger or the loathing..but don't forget the person and the situation. We can learn something from it. We can reflect why it happen and probably avoid it from happening again.
