I dreamed I had an interview with God. "Come in," God said. "So, you would like to interview Me?" "If You have the time," I said. God smiled and said: "Time is eternity and is enough to do everything; What questions do you have in mind to ask me?" What surprises You most about mankind?" God answered: "That they get bored of being children, are in a rush to grow up, and then long to be children again. "That they lose their health to make money and then lose their money to restore their health. "That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present, such that they live neither for the present nor the future. "That they live as if they will never die, and they die as if they had never lived." God's hands took mine and we were silent for awhile and then I asked... "As a parent, what are some of life's lessons You want your children to learn?" God replied with a smile: "To learn that they cannot make anyone love them. What they can do is to let themselves be loved. "To learn that what is most valuable is not what they have in their lives, but who they have in their lives. "To learn that it is not good to compare themselves to others. All will be judged individually on their own merits, not as a group on a comparison basis! "To learn that a rich person is not the one who has the most, but is one who needs the least. "To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in persons we love, and that it takes many years to heal them. "To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness. "To learn that there are persons that love them dearly, but simply do not know how to express or show their feelings. "To learn that money can buy everything but happiness. "To learn that two people can look at the same thing and see it totally different. "To learn that a true friend is someone who knows everything about them...and likes them anyway. "To learn that it is not always enough that they be forgiven by others, but that they have to forgive themselves." I sat there for awhile enjoying the moment. I thanked Him for his time and for all that He has done for me and my family, and He replied, "Anytime. I'm here 24 hours a day. All you have to do is ask for me, and I'll answer." ~Author Unknown -

For all the negative things we have to say to ourselves, God has a positive answer for it: You say: "It's impossible" God says: "All things are possible" (Luke 18:27) You say: "I'm too tired" God says: "I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28-30) You say: "Nobody really loves me" God says: "I love you" (John 3:16 & 13:34) You say: "I can't go on" God says: "My grace is sufficient" (II Corinthians 12:9, Psalms 91:15) You say: "I can't figure things out" God says: "I will direct your steps" (Proverbs 3:5-6) You say: "I can't do it" God says: "You can do all things" (Philippians 4:13) You say: "I'm not able" God says: "I am able" (II Corinthians 9:8 ) You say: "It's not worth it" God says: "It will be worth it" (Romans 8:28 ) You say: "I can't forgive myself" God says: "I FORGIVE YOU" (I John 1:9 & Romans 8:1) You say: "I can't manage" God says: "I will supply all your needs" (Philippians 4:19) You say: "I'm afraid" God says: "I have not given you a spirit of fear" (II Timothy 1:7) You say: "I'm always worried and frustrated" God says: "Cast all your cares on ME" (I Peter 5:7) You say: "I don't have enough faith" God says: "I've given everyone a measure of faith" (Romans 12:3) You say: "I'm not smart enough" God says: "I give you wisdom" (I Corinthians 1:30) You say: "I feel all alone" God says: "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5)

It's In The Valleys I Grow It's In The Valleys I Grow Sometimes life seems hard to bear, Full of sorrow, trouble and woe It's then I have to remember That it's in the valleys I grow. If I always stayed on the mountain top And never experienced pain, I would never appreciate God's love And would be living in vain. I have so much to learn And my growth is very slow, Sometimes I need the mountain tops, But, it's in the valleys I grow. I do not always understand Why things happen as they do, But I am very sure of one thing. My Lord will see me through. My little valleys are nothing When I picture Christ on the cross He went through the valley of death; His victory was Satan's loss. Forgive me Lord, for complaining When I'm feeling so very low. Just give me a gentle reminder That it's in the valleys I grow. Continue to strengthen me, Lord And use my life each day To share your love with others And help them find their way. Thank you for valleys, Lord For this one thing I know The mountain tops are glorious But, it's in the valleys I grow! By: JANE EGGLESTON

LEARNING CHRIST Teach me my LORD to be sweet and gentle In all the events of life; in disappointments.... In the thoughtlessness of others..... In the faithfulness of those on whom I relied.... In the sincerity of those I trusted. Let me put myself aside, to think of the happiness of others To hide my little pains and heartaches, so that I may be the one to suffer from them. Teach me to profit by the sufferings that comes accross my path. Let me so use it that it may mellow me, that it may make me patience not irritable, that it may make me broad in my forgiveness, not narrow, haughty and overbearing. May no one be less good for having come within my influence. No one less pure, less true, less kind, less noble for having been a fellow traveller towards ETERNAL LIFE May my life be full of power for good and strong in its purpose of Sanctity

MY GOD IS NO STRANGER I've never seen God but I know how I feel It's people like you who make Him so "real"... My God is no stranger, He's friendly and gay, And He doesn't ask me To week when I pray... It seems that I pass Him So often each day In the faces of people I meet on my way... He's stars in the heaven, A smile on some face, A leaf on a tree Or a rose in a vase... He's winter and autumn And summer and spring In short, God is every Real, wonderful thing... I wish I might meet HIm Much more than I do; I would if there were More people like you.

Develop the right (self) attitude

Here are 10 suggestions to help you develop and maintain a healthy self-image. Read them slowly. Meditate on them regularly. 1. Hate your sin, but never hate yourself. 2. Be quick to repent. 3. When God gives you light, walk in it. 4. Stop saying negative things about yourself. God loves you and it's wrong to hate what He loves. He has great plans for you, so you're in conflict with Him when you speak negatively concerning your future. 5. Never be afraid to admit that you've made a mistake and don't always assume that when things go wrong, it must be 'my fault'. 6. Don't meditate excessively on what you've done, right or wrong; both of these activities keep your mind on you! Center your thoughts on Christ. 7. Take good care of yourself physically. Make the best of what God gave you to work with, but don't be obsessed with your appearance. 8. Never stop learning but don't allow your education to become a point of pride. God doesn't use you because of what's in your head: He uses you because of what's in your heart. 9. Realize that your talents are a gift, not something you have manufactured yourself; never look down on people who can't do what you do. 10. Don't despise your weaknesses they keep you dependent on God. PRAYER "Lord Jesus Christ, your love is better than life itself. May your love consume and transform my life that I may desire you above all else. Help me to love what you love, to desire what you desire, and to reject what you reject".

"Worry--------Free"

To worry does no good at all But does a lot of harm; It puts lines upon your face and dissipates your charm. Whatever is to be, will be That worry cannot change; It only serves to dim your joy and all your friends estrange. 'Tis lack of confidence in self that causes wrong's fright; a lack of faith in God's design Your happiness will blight. Then cast aside these gloomy thoughts and bid your darK fears flee; Live in the light of FAITH and LOVE, JOYFUL and WORRY-FREE.
