LET”S TALK ABOUT SEX (Requested bible topic)

First let’s speak of Adultery

The Greek used to denote adultery is Moichos which means “he who has unlawful intercourse with the spouse of another. The Feminine is Moichalis. (Vines Greek Dictionary). A•dul•ter•y: n. pl. a•dul•ter•ies: Voluntary sexual intercourse between a married person and a partner other than the lawful spouse(www.dictionary.com).  From the Greek Definition we know that Adultery is if you are Married and have sex with someone that is not your spouse and according to the English dictionary if you have sex with anyone that you are not married to. We know that the bible forbids Adultery, Exodus 20:14 You shall not commit adultery. (esv)
Proverbs 6: 23-27  23) For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching the light, and the reproof of the disciple are the ways of life, 24) to preserve you from the evil woman from the smooth tongue of the adulteress.  25) Do not desire her beauty in your heart and do not let her capture you with her eyelashes.  26) for the price of a prostitute is only a loaf of bread. But a married woman hunts down a precious life. 27) Can a man carry fire next to his chest and his clothes not be burned? (Where we get the expression playing with fire)  Matthew 5:27-28  27) “You have heard that it was said, You shall not commit adultery. 2Cool But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.  From these few passages we know that sex with someone or the thought of sex with someone while you are married to someone is a sin.  So lets break this down you’re a married man and you see a woman walking down the street and she is very attractive and you “Check her Out” you are committing adultery, in your heart and that is as bad as the thought.  This would include reading play boy or watching a woman strip on webcam.  Talking about Sex with a woman that is not your wife is adultery.  Leviticus 20:10 If a man commits adultery with the wife of his neighbor both the Adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death. (Your Neighbor is everyone you will come in contact with).

Okay let’s talk about Fornication:

The Greek use the word Porneia which mean illicit sexual intercourse or Pornos which is used to denote a man who is indulged in fornication, a fornicator.  for•ni•ca•tion: Sexual intercourse between partners who are not married to each other.(www.dictionary.com) Galatians 5:19-21 19) Now the words of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20) Idolatry, Sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, 21) envy, drunkenness, orgies, and thinks like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

These are strong statements the bible makes about sexual impurity and the application is broad, so if you’re attempted to even look or talk to someone in a sexual manner you’re sinning grievously against the Lord. In the words of RC Sprawl (Famous Prespretarian Theologian) Sin is Cosmic Treason.  So for your sake and the sake of your father flee from sexual temptation, don’t let the evil of the flesh carry you away.  In the KJV and ESV you will read Now Adam knew Eve, and his wife conceived and bore Cain, saying, “ I have gotten a man with the help of the Lord.”  Or you read of a Bride going to her bride grooms chamber after the marriage feast.  These are the only appropriate Sexual in the bible is between husband and wife.  In today’s society much like previous eras of the world Sexual immorality is ramped.  So if you follow Christ and love the Lord follow his commandments and flee from Sex until you wed.

Witchy pooh, Kitch was just trying to enlighten us because I know for sure not all of us read the Bible from cover to cover.  I've read that part, heard homilies pertaining to that and what Kitch implying were  all true.  It's all written in the Bible and it's up for us to follow and believe.

I'm just wondering....in  one of the government rules it says...."innocence of the law excuses no one",  will it be applied to religion too?

A noted Rabbi forgive me I forget his name has stated that the biggest change from Old testament to christian values is that in stead of taking the law external we have placed it in the heart.  Yes only God knows the heart.  God has created the heart and can judge the heart we are to to take the laws of God and place them in our heart, and thinking and plotting in the heart is the same as the action.  To put a practial spin on this I believe it was Duke University  tested the performance of people in thier free through tossing a basket ball in to a hoop. They defided the group into four groups one Group spent hours of practices the second group spent hours visualizing making the shot.  The third group did a mixture of the two and the forth group did niether.  The group that visualized the shots and the group that practices the shot had the same amount of improvement while the group that did both had the best improvement and the one that did nothing got worst.  Note the fact that visualization and practice had the same effect.  Shows that the mind is powerful and thoughts of the mind and heart have an effect on your performance
