I started to have a very deep crush and admiration when I was in 5th grade. The guy name is Marlon, he was our leader in science group and I was the co-leader. He told me that he likes boats; my grandpa got many boats since our family was into fishing business before. So mostly I used those boats so that we can spend time together after doing our science project. He was my crush until 6th grade. One week before I came to Cebu, we bumped to each other in a video shop in our town. He is not that good looking like he was before. And also he is working in that video store and just got married. He told me he didn't finish college, how surprising since he was our salutatorian back then.

I first fall "in love" when I was in grade VI. There was this very handsome son of a fisherman in the island where I grew up. We always went to school together, play together, and it tickled me to no end everytime people would tease us about being a "loveteam" We both graduated with honors, he's the valedictorian and I was the principal's grandaughter The whole fishing village have watched the affair blossomed from youthful admirations into a full blown relationship. They expected us to marry someday. But a lot of things got in the way. He married our childhood friend and they have 6 kids now and I was even a sponsor to a son's wedding. Today we only see each other on town fiesta's and holy week and everytime I go there for a visit he would send some seafoods at my house and I really admire his wife coz she doesn't mind.

i was a second year high school student, it was our turn to clean the classroom. My two friends (boy and girl) fought. The girl was a nagger type and the boy say got not patience at all. I was sitting beside the girl while they exchanged words...we're just laughing at it coz we consider that a lover's quarel (LQ). I wasn't paying attention to them and was facing on the other side. As i turn my head, a tip of the broom hit my face (right side} ouchh that hurt. I went home with swollen face. As i enter the house i intentionally bowed my head so my parents will not notice it but too bad they did. Dang, as my mother saw it, she was in rage ..the next day my mother accompany me to school and the principal called the guy. My mother told the guy who hit me...."look at my daughter, she's more prettier than before...if her nose got no holes, we can hardly identify she got one". Argghhh. So, thats some of my not so wonderful memories in high school.

Well in the 6th grade, I played football for the Will Rogers Broncos. We had a good team. We smoked every other elementary school in the city when we played them. We had some characters on that team. A lot of the players that played on that team are dead or in jail now. Anyway that particular year, we had a few newbies that came out for football. There was a kid named John Braun. Now John was never to smart. We called John "fat head". I gave John that nick name because the kid had a huge skull. The coaches looked for him a helmet to fit but couldnt find one, not even at the high school. So they had to put in a special order and set the school back about 200 dollars just so fat head could play football. Then there was Bill Monroe. Now Bill wasnt to smart either. Bill made the mistake of wearing his cowboy boots to football practice one day. Hence the coaches nick named him "Wild Bill". My nick name was the coca cola kid because instead of water after practice I was always drinking a coke. Everyone had some kind of nick name. But there was one thing about this year that made me uncomfortable. I could handle all the kids who were idiots but there was this one boy named Scott Alley. Scott was mentally challenged. He had problems speaking and socializing with others. Heck he could bareley even walk much less run like all the rest of us. Anyway, Scott wanted to play football. Our coaches Mr. Drury and Mr. Holmes were dead set against Scott coming out for football due to all the problems it would cause. It isnt that they didnt really want him to come out its they just didnt want him to get hurt. They knew kids would be kids and most boys at that age are probably the most cruel they ever are. Anyway there was nothing they could do. If he wanted to play football all he had to do was to show up for practice. Well...like I said...boys can be real cruel at that age and while I was probably considered cruel in my mind, I couldnt bring myself to hit or tackle Scott like you are suppposed to do in football. It just didnt seem right to me. If I had the ball and he was coming to takle me...I would just let him takle me and fumble the ball. Most of the other kids didnt care. They would tackle him as hard as they could and take cheap shots at him and laugh about it. Some of these kids were even my friends. It really bothered me so I told them to stop treating him like that. I said listen all he wants to do is come out and have fun, not to be laughed at or to have his head knocked off every play. The coaches heard me telling everyone this and they would yell at anyone who they thought was being cruel. In fact they had already told them to be respectful and be understanding, but they would do these things when the coaches were not looking. And how do you tell if you being cruel. Its hard football is a rough sport. Anyway he eventually quit, I know it kinda sucks but to tell you the truth I was relieved. What makes it kind of a cherished memory for me is the coaches and other teachers they told at school thought that I wasnt such a bad kid after all. And even though Scott quit, I was one of the people he socialized and talked to at school. I wasnt a best friend to him but I did talk to him from time to time. And when the special education teachers told me they were having problems with him, they would sometimes ask me to help him out. I didnt know it then but just talking to someone like a friend really helps out a lot.

when l was in junior high school... our school got new coach for baseball, before we never got to play it or even got the equipment. so its a 'brand' new sport for us that time. when the couch enter my class to talk bout recruiting new baseball players... l was like.... omg... he's cute hihihihi... and then we all went out and he tried us one by one to hit the ball, run etc, l tried to do my best so he'll choose me my heart was bumping so hard, l felt like l'm jumping when he choose me... But... oh my! well l tried to always get near him. after 2 weeks... l tried to impress him while he ask me to hit the ball... l did hit it as hard as l can and wooooooshhhh d ball land on his forehead ohhhhhh gawd!!! l feel like l wanna hide my face somewhere else... his face get swollen very very bad and sooooo red... the other students run to him n bring him inside n get some ice bag for him. l feel so embarrassed... then after an hour, l come there with my guilty face... saying sorry to him... he just said that it was okay, at least now l become a good player, he said

In high school I think my most cherished moments was when I was with the other volleyball and softball players. I am more comfortable with them coz my other group, my classmates loved to talk about boys and I thought it was disgusting. when they always try to do something to catch the attentions of these boys! Sometimes they do embarassing things too like sending them love notes anonymously. Yukkk!!

i had a crush in one of my classmate in high school. I was freshman then. He got nice voice, black beauty, and cute. He's sweet to me too, guess he likes me too hmm but anyway, it was nice till it last. It ended though when we did some gardening, was so happy then coz we're partners......geeze i don't know how did it happen but the next thing we knew, we were fighting over a tomato plant. Good thing i'm not a freak or else i've hit him with one of the gardening tools already. We went back to our classroom without speaking to each other.... T HE END!
