World health experts have called for a SARS-like response to a bird flu pandemic as two more Asian nations reported outbreaks of the disease.
Laos and China are the latest to have reported instances of the rapidly spreading virus that has now killed at least eight people and forced the slaughter of tens of millions of chickens.
wats ur opinion about this new disease?

Bird flu, mad cow, what animals next? I seem that when the world gets it's stuff back together, something comes and kicks it out again. I won't get to graphic, but it seems to me that we just got over Aids. I hate to think what the future has in store for us.

hey not to mention the foot and mouth disease
the World Health Organization has warned, as the human toll from the outbreak rises.
A mass slaughter of infected chickens and ducks is the only way of controlling the deadly bird flu sweeping across Asia.
10 people died now 8 in vietnam and 2 in thailand
the worst thing is those chicken infected by bird flu that been slaugthered in china...their feathers been removed and sold in indonesia, authorities still allowing the sale.

In the last few months several strains of the "Asian Bird Flu" has spread around the Province of British Columbia on the West Coast of Canada, mainly in the lower mainland portion of the Province.
There has been a massive cull of chickens and ducks. The spread has not been contained by these actions. Mainly because the dead birds that were gased, then were being transported by trucks over several hundred kilometers to dump sites around the Province. This further spread the disease. The authorities (mostly Town and Government officials in the Province) were just politicians and had no clue how to do things properly to stop the spread of the Bird Flu.
Once people started to ask questions and get Disease Specialists involved they took over the management of the Flu outbreak and put in place measures that should of been there from the begining.
Another example of bureaucrats who know nothing but claim to know what's best for everyone.
