both are to blame....

To be specific when it comes to government, our senate the only part of the world where you can find Drug-Lords/Kidnappers, Comedians, Coupplotters, Dull Actors, Gay-Pedophiles, Basketball-bully being called,"YOUR HONOR".

Italy has 10 porn actors/actresses in its government. They're all doing fine. I think we should vote for prostitutes next time.  Grin I'M NOT JOKING.

The media is one of the major group to be blame too.  Filipinos pay much attention to the political shit provided for us by different personalities and they could not have done it without the media. Instead of letting the public know that the Philippines is not hopeless and that there is a very big opportunity for recovery.

i agree with you mymy that the problem is both ways. In a democratic government the people are given freedom to express themselve but what they dont understand is that with freedom comes responsibilities.

to be continued...

I'd say its Management. Remember the Martial Law days? Marcos has everyone under control and it works.I mean for a while we leave in a peaceful surroundings coz of the curfew hours. Up to these days, I cant help but wish that along with his Dictatorship...if only he has not been so eaten up by greed, If only he used some if not all of those wealth they have accumulated for the good of the Filipino people, he would be world famous for his noble deed. He will be worshipped by all. And the Filipino people would be holding their head up high to the rest of the world. And he had the chance.**Sigh**. See? Its management first and discipline will follow. Grin

Problem of the Filipinos are that we are poor and we are greedy.  At the slightest opportunity to make money, due to immense need mostly people will grab at it.  I don't know when it was started but it's unstoppable now.  Just like my status here in this forum ---beyond redemption--.  But there are always exceptions...i know there are good and honest people out there..but still they can't influence the bad to be good merely because they were outnumbered.  The greedy will be more greedy and the poor will become poorer.  I don't think this problem will be solve soon...unless there's total conversion of all leaders in the country, if they can put aside their selfish motives and probably share a little of their excesses then we might can see a light out from this dark tunnel we live in.

That is right, Grace. But it's still management coz the choice is between the two. If the government will do something to alleviate the sufferings of the filipinos, like s job for every head of the family, Im sure life would be better for us. Because there is going to be a chain reaction. I dont believe there is anyone who enjoys going against the law just to get hold of some money. And when the belly is full, they will have the ability to think clearly. And with a clear mind and full belly..they will REALLY exercise their rights to vote...not sell it...and KNOW who to vote for.

They are both to be blamed. One of the worst problems is,many or most of the Philippine goverment officials are very manipulative while the citizens ,especially the poor, are easily manipulated.....especially by money.
