Category:     Desserts
Style:     American
Special Consideration:     Quick and Easy

Description:
deep-fried

Ingredients:
1 pint vanilla ice cream, in scoops
2 c Graham cracker crumbs, sprinkle of cinnamon and sugar (or use chocolate cookie crumbs)
1c eggs, beaten
oil for deep frying

Chocolate Sauce

1/2 c water
1/3 c sugar
1/2 c light corn syrup
150 g bittersweet chocolate, chopped
100 g unsweetened chocolate, chopped
2 tbsp unsalted butter

Caramel Sauce

1 3/4 c sugar
1tsp lemon juice
1 c warm all purpose cream
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Scoop vanilla ice cream into 4 balls. Put into freezer. Remove and roll in crumbs. Return to freezer. When very firm, dip into beaten eggs and roll in crumbs again. Freeze again.

To serve, deep fry 2 balls at a time in hot fat, 375° F for about 10 to 12 seconds or until browned. Use slotted spoon for easy handling. Serve with chocolate sauce.

For chocolate sauce, boil water, sugar and corn syrup or until sugar is dissolved. Pour over the chopped chocolate mixture. Set aside for 2 minutes. Whisk until smooth. Add butter then strain.

For a caramel sauce, put sugar in thick medium saucepan. Add the lemon juice. Caramelize over medium heat then add the cream and salt. Boil until correct consistency.

Fried ice cream? Heard of it but have never tried it. The thought of fats and cholestrol makes my stomach churning. I'd prefer my ice cream the natural way. has anyone tried greentea flavoured icecream? they were goooooooooooddddddd

Never say good-bye if you still want to try- never give up if you still feel you can go on- never say you don't love a person anymore if you can't let go.
