HOW WAS YOUR X'MAS??

Christmas is over and on we look forward to the coming of the New Year. But let's talk first how we all spent our christmas day. Did you spend them with your family? With your special someone? Or you spend it alone? I'll start. I spend it with my 9 brothers and sisters and our kids and my Mom, of course, on christmas eve. We have games, each family brought a dish. We have exchange gifts also. And on x'mas day, I spent it at home waiting for my godchildren and friend's children to claim their gifts. And on the night of the 25th, we in the neighborhod brought out chairs and tables and place them in the middle of the street right in front of my house and there we enjoyed srinking and singing and dancing and eating foodstuffs, some are leftover from the media noche the night before. So how did you spend yours? Post away!!

I slept in, then I went for a 30 mile bike ride after lunch. After that, went to the Chinese buffet for some Mongolian grill, then an evening in the forum and chat. What fun! NOT! Today, it was breakfast, computer work, 35 miles on the bike, and I'm thinking what to do now.....happy boxing day!

We Krissy and I were just talking about this kinda thread and its done lol Anyway, I spent it at home with my family. I cooked "ALL" the food for Noche Buena (Christmas Dinner) its been the tradition since hmmmm....since I learn how to cook lol! Ok Ok since High school.... lol My mom, dad, older sis, my daughter, my elder brother with his wife and two kids who are teeners already are there at home They love what I cooked lol! Or maybe they have no choice lol! We have a nice photo session with my new cam lol! Played with the auto shot option with 5 shots each lol! My daughter was not in the pix tho coz she was asleep already. We had fun exchanged gifts. Christmas day, waited for my inaanaks (godchildren) I have 8 errrr I was wrong I have 10 Anyway, none of them arrived, I wonder why, so weird , usually every year they come But still waiting till new year too, they come to eat what I cook too for new years lol! Played and sing and dance the whole day with my daughter waiting for visitors lol! Got a nice purse from the neigbor lol!

Mine was well spent with family. Few days before Christmas, My mom, brother and angels made me promise to be away from my PC during the holidays to ensure a real good bonding time. I kept my word and it sure felt so good. It was a long drive to my mom's and traffic was terrible, took us 4hours to get there. But just the mere sight of my family at the gate of our ancestral home, welcoming us was consolation enough. I just had to take a deep breath, smile and say to myself "home sweet home" then all the fun began.....My brother surprised us with a new standard sized badminton court, that was awesome! And mom made a wonderful job in doing the landscape all around, so many flowers, made the old place beautiful. Usual stuff of going to church all together, exchange gifts and the traditional charity work of our own, giving little bags of goodies to less unfortunate people. It was non-stop eating all weekend, lots of singing, dancing, hugging and kissing and laughing. How I miss home and my family....

Well, Tina and Earthy, I guess the old tradition about godchildren are a thing of the past now, eh? Or maybe they got tired of getting the same thing every year? I still have here little x'mas thing gift for my online friends. The x'mas party got postponed last time. Tomorrow they are taking down the x'mas tree already so I will just keep them inside my room. Guess what they are?
