The Colt Gets Ready....

My lil Red 1991 Mazda Protege is ready for the road. I've parked the Colt for a bit to get ready for its new engine in July. My mechanic Nelson and I determined that it is not worth the trouble to fix the head gasket oil leak. I bought my Mazda from my friend Jesse and I appreciate him for giving me such a great deal on a nice little car. Next week, the Mazda gets an air conditioning conversion to R134a and a new wheel bearing. The following week will see a new headliner and visors. I still need to hit the automotive recycling center (junkyard to y'all) and get a couple of moulding pieces. I'll have pictures up soon. Yes, I will miss my Colt for a bit, but the new engine will make it run like a new car again. At 196k, it is not through by a long shot.
