What Happens When Admins Don't Monitor Forums..

I wrote about this story on ChatFest.org. http://chatfest.org/index.php?ind=news&op=news_show_single&ide=1 8 I dealt with this issue here before I shut down the open registration. Geeksters.org doesn't have this problem because of the software I use is not widely known. ChatFest.org though uses phpBB however, which is very popular. I saw a couple of IDs register that looked strange, and I Googled for them. I came up with dozens of sites with these IDs in them and some of them were posting stupidly worded ads about Viagra. In that article, Google delisted that forum site because they never looked to see what was really going on and Google in turn delisted them from their index. One important thing comes to light though...that Google wields a lot of power on the Internet and that forum admins need to do a better job monitoring if they don't want to fall off the leading Internet search index.
