What's your thought? I was reading an article on Cosmo some days ago. One bit in particular I find disturbing. That 75% of pinays masturbate. (I talk like a telegram, I know ) With that, I do have the following questions: What do you think of a woman who masturbates? With women who doesn't? Do you find it sexy or a turn-off? What do fellow pinays think of masturbation? Do you find it "normal"? Any thoughts at all. Inquiring minds want to know

Totally Normal. Cathy, I think most women don't rub & tell, but I have always encouraged my GF's to explore themselves and to broaden their sexual World. There is nothing quite like the look of a woman after she just had an amazing orgasm. I fully believe that a woman must expore and understand just what turns her on and what she likes so that she can then take that information and relay it to her BF or husband and take there sexual relationship to new and higher places. And yes, I do find it sexy. I once woke up one morning and realized that my GF was masterbating. I turned over and she looked all shy that she had been caught, and explained that she was horny and didn't want to wake me up. I chuckled & told her to keep on going with me at first just laying beside her, then I started to caress her softly. Lets just say that she really liked that. There is no harm in masturbation. And anyone who brings out that old tired "God says it's bad" crud just doesn't understand how much of a catch-22 that ideology is. Priests are the ones who say that stuff and drill it into peoples' minds, and most appear on the outside to be obeying their words. But behind closed doors most Priests do everything that we all do. They just don't admit it. Enough said about that. I don't want to change the topic of this thread. So go forth & explore!! And remember to report back any progress here.

Hi Dale, I appreciate your responding. You've pretty much covered all the bases. Almost the respond I expected from a guy. Unsurprisingly, you all seem to have the same opinion on the subject. I still don't get it though. I don't think it's "bad" per say to explore one's body. What I don't understand is why men would "allow" their women to be (semi) sexually independent from their partners. If a woman has an orgasm on her own --- what would she need a partner for? As for the religious aspect, it only makes it all confusing. Is masturbating considered to be "sex"? If it is, then it is indeed "bad". (Will try and add some more later). I think I'm hungry.

Lemme share something I read about masturbation I forgot the name of the writer ...hmmm George or Greg Dervo or Dervin. The article said that masturbating is normal and there is nothing bad about it. It offers a number of health benefits such as the following: 1. help reduce stress 2. release sexual tension 3. alleviate menstrual cramps 4. work wonders when a person is having trouble falling asleep 5. stimulate the immune system to help build up resistance to infections like the common cold 6. reduce embarrassing spontaneous erections for teen men 7. reduce the number of unwanted wet dreams We probably heard all of myths about masturbation. Like for instance, masturbating will cause blindness, go insane, or grow hair on your palms. Most only people think that those who masturbate are those who are desperate for sex or can't get any, sex with a partner. This is not true, most people masturbate doesn't matter who people are, what they do, or what they say, the chances are they masturbate. Fact that many people masturbate throughout their lives regardless of whether they have a sexual partner or not. People may masturbate alone or with a partner. Watching your partner masturbate can be a good way to see how she or he likes to be touched But unfortunately, lots of guilt and shame surrounding masturbation. Self-pleasuring has had a bad reputation for centuries. Thanks to the medical authorities that given up on the idea that masturbation causes illness or insanity. Most experts agree that children should be taught that there is nothing wrong with touching their genitals as long as it is done in private.

And one more thing....ahihihi its kinda long now. Every person is different. Some people don't masturbate at all. I think masturbating can become a problem if it starts to interfere with the rest of a person's life. Example, if a student starts skipping out of school so she or he can stay home to masturbate, then masturbating may be disrupting other parts of her or his life. But if you really a busy person and no time to relax and to yourself there is no chance to think of masturbating.

Hi My, Thanks for your input. I'm curious. Did you quote an article? So should I take it to mean the article echoes your exact sentiments on the subject? I am genuinely curious what Pinays think about it. I know most women in foreign countries do consider it normal. I must admit, the article did help shed some light. Seeing as I'm not Catholic and is therefore, still a VERY active member of another Christian faith ---- this is where it gets confusing. Any more thoughts from fellow Pinays?

| Most are the things I remember about that article and yes, I agree with the author. The last post was exactly my thought. Again, every person is different. Some people don't masturbate at all. Quote: Remember that masturbation damages and deforms the penis shape and size, because the hand is not designed like the vagina, the vagina fully encloses the penis, but the fingers of the hand make an uneven shape for the penis to be enclosed by. And this damage is permanent, so the quicker you stop masturbation the less further permanent damage is caused to the sensitive soft skin of the penis, the skin of the penis is the most sensitive and softest on the whole body, thus it is most vulnerable to permanent damage by misuse and abuse like masturbation. |
| I dunno if it is true. Since, the penis is made up mostly of cartilage, like ear or nose. Is your nose bent out of shape when you sleep on your face? hahahhaha.
