Went camping once and our tent leaked.  We were swimming inside the tent.

I love to go camping!! I love the fresh air and the forest sights and sounds. I love sleeping in a tent and snuggling with someone special. Ahhh the joys of camping.  Wink

My favorite spot is in New York State, in the Adirondack Mountains. A place called Meacham Lake. I love to go there mid-week during July or August, when the bugs and crowds aren't so bad and there's no chance of rain. It helps if there is a gang of friends, but I also like to go just with a gal and me. Very romantic.

I have all the camping gear and like to go well stocked with drinks and food. I have a good quality tent and sleeping bags so that if it does rain, I can drift off to sleep with the sound of rain on the tent, comfortable with the knowledge that it won't leak.

I love to cook most of my meals with a coleman two burner stove, saves so much time. I like to grill steaks and chicken over the campfire, ahhh the taste!!

I love to sleep in, and usually around 10am the sun heats the tent up to a point where you can't sleep, and have to get up. I then get up, have breakfast, go take a shower. Come back, lie around the campsite a bit. I then like to go to the beach for the afternoon, and maybe go for a paddle in a canoe out in the lake. Later on in the afternoon I like to go for a mountain bike ride up a favorite trail of mine to get away and do something different. There is a hiking trail there, but it takes 6-7 hours to get to the top of the mountain and back again. Once you have been up to the top a few times, it starts to seem like work.

I then like to make supper and relax around the campfire. It's amazing how long that people can sit around that fire and do nothing but have a few drinks and listen to a few tunes on the radio while watching the dansing flames and glowing coals.

Can't think of a better way to spend some time during the Summer.

We always go camping but on the beach. We don't care much for hotel facilities. It's nice to wake up every morning while the sun was just starting to rise. The water is so warm even early in the morning. And at night, we go to sleep under the moon and the stars. And if i don't get sleepy yet I would just sit there outside my tent and gaze at the reflection of the moon on the seawater and do some thinking and/or reminiscing. I have always loved the ocean.

We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly. *bad_day_me*
