I think this is the killer distribution for those with older computers that would like upgrades from Windows 98/ME. Let's face it, being a KDE lover, it does take a lot of memory and CPU to run KDE snappily. Gnome can take even more. Take a look at the screenshots of VectorLinux 5.1 sometime. I've used IceWM before, and thought it was ugly and hard to configure.

I've never seen IceWM looking so good as with what the VectorLinux people have made it look. Also, VectorLinux comes with plenty of administration tools that run right off the desktop so that the user can control nearly every aspect of their system.

I think a good test case will be to install it on a 200mhz, 32 meg computer that I will be giving to someone for Internet access and see if all I read about is true. VectorLinux 5.1 should be the system upgrade you should look at instead of tossing money at a new system that you may just barely be able to afford.
