Google has introduced a new service called MyMaps.  In essence, a user can add video, graphics, pictures or most anything to a Google Map to share with anyone.  The more I think about this, the more it sounds like it would be a great tie in to a social networking site.  Google does have their own social network site called Orkut, but it is virtually unknown in the US.  It is a big hit in Brazil from what I hear.  Maybe MyMaps can be brought into your posts or forum homepage?  We'll see.  Here is the article on Geeksters.org:
