Title: Re: ~The 411 on Cell Phone's~ Post by nOrKAy on Nov 27th, 2005, 6:00am I had been using Explore phone for like 2 years, until I lost it. I left it in a taxi and what sad there, was when I was about to take my phone and thought I would call my friend to tell I was home and to check on her, too, I couldn't find my phone, so I was sure I left it in the taxi after talking on it while I was on the way. I ran down and tried to catch the taxi and it's still there doing U-turn .so I stopped it, but ....man, he intentionally took it away. He didnt stop. I went right away to the guard house and dialed....man, it was already turned off! Stupid guards, too. They didn't record the taxi plate number. >:( Now I am using this N3230. http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b234/kriswen/currentphone3230.jpg Not the lates, but this is a real good one. Features are: * Expandable memory * Camera * Movie director * Video recording for at least 1 hour * xHTML browser for browsing * Instant messaging and e-mailing * Talk over cellular --never used though * Games-- never tried using it * Lifeblog-- free download Oh, my baby ! LOL |

Title: Re: ~The 411 on Cell Phone's~ Post by CooCHie on Nov 27th, 2005, 5:01pm LG's VX8000 is the first phone to use Verizon's Vcast video entertainment service. It also happens to be the carrier's best camera phone as they say. The VX8000 has a fantastic keypad, a big, crisp screen, and a long-lasting battery. Embedded with1.3 megapixel camera to capture video or still pictures. Got cool features with messaging and chat capabilities...not the greatest but you can get by with it. ;D ;D ;D |

Title: Re: ~The 411 on Cell Phone's~ Post by dOnUtz 9urL on Dec 20th, 2005, 1:38pm l'm still using my old XDA II... was tempted to buy the XDA IIi thow... but still too expensive [smiley=wall.gif] l think that the pda phone is good, fast and has easy access. the resolution of the camera is not as expected. the colour screen is great. its slightly heavy though. the only problem really with this pda phone i am facing is that of not getting clear signals at places where my old nokia 6600 long time ago would be crystal clear. its a triband phone, GSM900 / GSM1800 / GSM1900, got 128 MB RAM, for external storage it got sd/mmc slot memory card, l use 256 MB but thinking to buy the 1 Giga, cuz now the 256 MB one is almost full. the phone is good, fast and has Audio,Built-in mic, Built-in speakers. for connectivity, it got Bluetooth, GPRS/GSM, and Infrared. Other features...Pocket PC 2003 Phone Edition, Processor Intel XScale PXA263. Processor speed 400MHz, Screen Backlit display, 320 x 240, Touch screen. The Software Built-in OS windows. |

Title: Re: ~The 411 on Cell Phone's~ Post by thebeast on Feb 16th, 2006, 12:57am Well Nellie it all depends on what you want your phone to do. I not one to send text messages or surf the net a whole lot on my phone. So a phone with a large display and a large keypad is not important to me. I also not one to listen to music when I am walking around...so a phone with an MP3 player is not important to me. A phone with a camera in it is kinda cool and is probably found on most cells now days, but the picture quality is still not all that great for printing out purposes. For xmas I got myself the motorolla RAZR(called the Razor) V3 Silver and I also change my service from Cingular to Verizon which got me a rebate of 100 dollars off the phone. The Razor price varies from service provider. I purchase a package that included the blue tooth head set and the leather phone cover and the battery charger that charges in your automobile for $200 dollars and with the rebate I really only spend $100 US dollars. The razor is blue tooth capable so also purchase a headset that is motorolla as well. I like the blue tooth a lot because I can keep my eyes on the road a lot easier and do other things. I like the RAZR because its real thin, only 1/2 inch thick and it fits in your shirt pocket very easily. It looks real cool also. It has a camera also that takes a decent pic for on your display screen but I not sure what it looks like downloaded to a pc. I know it not look that good to print out. The size of the screen/display is not the largest but its large enough to play games and watch video on and the sound is loud enough and clear also. It used to be one the thinnest phones on the market but now Motorolla has come out with the SLVR(called the Sliver) L7 which is a combo RAZR with IPOD. It doesnt have the flip part of the RAZR so its even thinner. It has everything my phone has plus an IPOD built into it. So if you listen to a lot of music that would be a good choice to get. Bad thing about these phones is they not keep a charge for very long. I purchase V(Video) cast with verizon so I watch a lot of TV on my RAZR so I have to charge every night when I get home. I can watch CBS, ESPN, CNN, NBC and ABC news on my phone for only $10 extra a month which to me is not that expensive because I not purchase any text message plans. I can access my email and a few other things as well. So if style and small size with large enough buttons to push are important to you...you cant go wrong with these 2 phones. If you wanna surf the net and chat with your phone? Beth has the low down on that kinda phone thats best. |

[smiley=woot.gif] [smiley=woot.gif] [smiley=woot.gif] silly me :P Cuz it got new competitor which is dopod 818 that the shape almost the same with xda II mini... so xda II mini's price going down a bit [smiley=crazysmile.gif] [smiley=crazysmile.gif] soooooooooooo.... here I am ....got it ;D Well joel.... The motorolla RAZR is great, I've been using it for a month, it was soooo slim and very classy. But not my kinda type of celly hehe ;D but if u want the classy one, u got a perfect choice for motorolla RAZR. my my.... [smiley=wall.gif] wish I can satisfy with classy celly.... lol :P But really joel, u got great choice for style ;) ;) and actually RAZR, the new one got enuff memory if only for small emails. so will be just great for ya ;) |

Title: Re: ~The 411 on Cell Phone's~ Post by Need4Speed8DaleJr on May 22nd, 2006, 9:03pm Ahhh...I was SERIOUSLY considering upgrading my current Cell, that's an older Nokia model and works fine but... Just the "Coolness" factor of a Motorola RAZR with that flip motion is luring me in. So...I thought I would ask someone who owns one what the deal is with them. Any problems? Are you satisfied? Are there different Models of RAZR's that offer different functions, or just the size is the main difference? |

Title: Re: ~The 411 on Cell Phone's~ Post by nOrKAy on May 23rd, 2006, 6:42am Hiya Dale, I think Motorola RAZR is really cool since I see that many of my friends are using it. The functions, they say, are the same as the Nokia, like the camera and video. I am planning actually to have one, the pink/magenta color. I am not sure though what are really the differences about the colors, since I saw once in the shop that the pink/magenta one is more expensive than the black one. I'll check one of these days. ;) |

Hey ya Gracia, long time no see Ehh! Hugs & Kisses Gal. May has a Red-Razr? Hmmm...I have to Bug her to tell moi all about it, but all she seems interested in is shoes and those crazy Toe Socks lately. LOL. Hmmm...maybe I should just give May a Ring-a-Ling-Ding on her Cell and if she can't hear a word I say then I know that Razr is garbage......but *sigh* I don't have her Digits. Red Razzzrrr...Red Razzzrrr OVER! |

Title: Re: ~The 411 on Cell Phone's~ Post by dOnUtz 9urL on Jun 9th, 2006, 5:12am Hiya All ;D ;D ;D I used the Motorolla RAZR V3 before, but only for a month ;) Cuz well for me.... it didnt "fit" my "geekyness" about cellphone hahaha.... For fashion thingy... its very great!! cuz its small, slim and so classy. It got MPEG4, Quad bands, 4 x digital zoom on its camera 8) But the Internal Memory is only 5MB, which is too small, but that's in my opinion :P its so light, only weighted 3.35 oz, but the Pixel is great. Standard Battery : 680 mAh Li-ion which is ok ;D Krissy..... I dunno about you, but people in here like the pink one better than the magenta, me myself like the black one better. When they first released the pink one in here, the price was higher than the silver one, but now it goes down in here, the most wanted one in here now is the black one. For me.... ;) I like it fashionable... but for features... I dont like it, cuz the memory is quiet small and it's not compatible to installed programmed that I used to do on cellphones, so basically I cant install anything there. and because the memory is small so everytime u made video, or store things there, when u wanna make another one, u have to erase the old one or move it to your computer, so u can use the rest of the memory there. Hope I dont made you all confuse ::) ;D :D |

Title: Re: ~The 411 on Cell Phone's~ Post by Need4Speed8DaleJr on Dec 23rd, 2006, 8:44pm Does anyone know of a Cell or a function that would allow the Cell to keep the same number and operate WorldWide, no matter the Cell network? Someone told me the function is "QuadBand" but I'm not sure, so I asked the dudes at the local cell store and they had no clue, all they wanted to do was sell me a Cell that works HERE...* Sigh* Any thoughts? |

Title: Re: ~The 411 on Cell Phone's~ Post by ReeBop on Dec 24th, 2006, 6:26am Quad band means your phone will work everywhere. That doesn't mean your personal number will however unless it is on a global provider's network. You could buy a local sim card for that area and plug it into your phone and use it. |
