shasta, think about it. When you come into the room you say hi to person a, person b, person c, etc..... Now if you met someone and you hated each other or something like that, then that's one less person to say hi to in the room. That means you have just lessend your chances of carpal tunnel syndrome, AND, (a big plus here), extended the life of your keyboard so you won't burn it out by saying hi to everyone. Basically its a win win situation for both parties. :P

I dunno.

If we met with frienship in mind I can honestly say that I get along with most of the people I meet. So there would be no problem there. If you did something that pissed me off, or that didn't impress me, I would tell yah, and that would be the end of it. Case closed, then we would get back to being friends. [smiley=icon_drink2.gif]

If we met with more than friendship on our minds, then most likely that wouldn't happen, at least that is my take on the matter. I don't think that I could get wrapped up in someone with only having an online relationship. I would have to meet them as friends to confirm my feelings and to make sure what I saw in them online is actually there.

honesty is always best policy, but looks are superficial, its whats on the inside of a person that always matters the most. looks dont keep people married for a lifetime, but looks have wrecked many marriages.. think about it. All the friends i met from AC1, they are all nice.. I dont look at the physical appearance...i look up more on their attitude. So dont be scared to meet our friends in AC1...What you see is what you get...if you like them in the room, you'll like them more in person....(only few of course, that you will decide not to be friends with hehehhee)...

No, Astro...not joking at all. It just seems unfair that people would hate someone just because she/he did not meet the expectations online when they meet in person. I go for nice conversations online, and if the person turns out ugly or short in person I'm not going to have a problem with that.

Yes I have been to meets and the expected chemistry didnt happen. If theyre nice and polite thats one thing , but to be blatently rude is another. I agree.

yes, how would u tell that person you do not like her. What you see is not what you get. ::) ::)is that too much expectation? You see and fall in love with someone you see in cam but in real, you get disappointed because they look different from what you expect. I go for the look i guess . ::) ::)

That's why I seldom ask for a picture or a cam at first meetings. I am more interested in what people says than what they look like. If I have accepted the person, what he/she looks like are going to take the backseat when the time comes.

Actually "hate" is a very strong word to use in this topic, Tinz. Let's just say, dislike or disappointing. I think it has something to do with online relationships, manay. You know, when you have been talking to the person and you like each other a lot. So you agreed to meet. Then you did not happen to meet the expectations of that person. Maybe the person think you are gorgeous or tall or sexually attractive or whatever. And then in reality you are not those. I think "hate" is a very strong word for this topic. Maybe we can use the word "disappointed" instead.
