My first "question" that I would pop would be...

Me : "Here darling....sign this little legal paper"

Her : "what...you don't trust me"??

Me : "Well...if ya don't sign on the dotted line...then I don't trust ya"

I can hear all the gals rolling their eyes right about now. LOL...but It's just the way things work in the World. It's all nice and fine to think your going to be together forever, but that's not always the case.

Learn from other people's mistakes.

Hmmmm I still consider myself an old-fashioned kind of gal despite my views on sex (or lack thereof- ;D). Seeing as I'm also a textbook hopeless romantic, I'd opt for the made-for-movie proposal. ;)

But yah know, if the gal of my dreams signs it, then she's not into it just for the money, and she will get as much as she wants to put into the relationship.

I know it's not very Romantic, but I just choose to use another "R" word.....Realistic.

I find that most people live in such a mental vacuum that they just don't use their head when they make the most important decision of their lives. I however choose to protect myself with every means available to me.

I have seen friends of mine, good people who just got torn apart when the unforseen happened to them. I have seen happy and timid people get very nasty when they go for the goods when it ends.

I just vowed right then and there that it would never happen to me.

You may now return to the regularly scheduled program.

I don't know, maybe it's just me or something I had for breakfast .... I can't see myself marrying anyone who anticipates an unfortunate fate even before vows are made.

That's what makes a great person Cathy.

Even if you don't agree with my position or intent, you can put the issue up for consideration, and view the subject from different points-of-view and then if you still don't agree, you then admit that there is more than one answer to the question.

Very impressed.

ill ask her parents first if its ok to marry their daughter. after approval, in the morning of the day that ill propose, ill send to her home 1 bouquet of red roses bought in ATC. then, ill take my future fiancee to vivere eat dinner and drink red wine. Then propose to her.

I'd love the prenup idea though.

These are modern times. Men are no longer counted upon to do the honors all of the time. We have to be proactive (lolz) So how would i pop up the question?

I am given to making declarations. But to follow the rule of this post:

Question -- "So, you wanna get married? Yes or no?"

BUt really, I want to say -- "Marry me now or i'll run you over!!!"

Sometimes, men are so dense they can't get subtle hints even though you camp at his doorsteps daily, your hemline and neckline are one, you phone him every two minutes and you follow him around. Maybe they are just pakipot (lols).

Well, not quite how would but how did :D

Came home from a visit to my folks. Took my wife (girlfriend at the time) to a very nice garden in Pasadena. As we walked throught he garden we came to a very quite area around a fountain (actually the same spot we shared our "first kiss"). I got down on one knee, surprised the heck out of her, pulled a ring out of my poket and popped the question.

She said "Yes' and the rest is history!
