awww poor you! well its simply because you spend too much time socialising in cyber  ;D try getting to know your neighbour. prolly you'll find a soulmate in her too. that solves the prob of you flying across oceans just to meet that special someone  ;)

I have a few thoughts on this.

1: Its much easier to showcase the good and suppress the bad side of ones personality online. One can never have a complete picture of another through a purely long distance relationship as there are elements missing such as body language and seeing their reactions to situational events etc.
In text chat alone there is also always time to think of the best response to the other.

2: With the gaps in knowledge about the other person, it can be a tendancy to fill in those gaps with what one wants to see in the other, rather than knowing for sure that the other person smells or has bad hygiene, shifty eyes or whatever  [smiley=tier010.gif] [smiley=freak.gif]

3: With all this above, I think its much easier to find a person who fits this template of being a "soulmate" than it is in our day to day real lives as there are always pieces missing of the complete picture.

This comes from personal experience of mine. I have met a number of people from online who in face to face encounters, seemed a lot different than how I imagined them to be from my online knowledge of them.

My conclusion is that you can never really know someone well before spending time with them face to face.

Because that would be easy to find or worst be overlooked.  As they say, good things are hard to find and i think that includes soulmate.  Well, as they say, if he/she meant for you, then, whatever happens he/she will be yours in the end.

Saff said get t o know ur nieghbor....all my nieghbors have families and lives of thier own, in a technological world and a growing global community wouldn't all these wonderful people be our nieghbors?...Besides Saffire, beautiful women have that part easy....they can even choose thier nieghbor...for the rest of us, oh well.
