Title: True Ghost Stories......unfolded Post by Wicked_Witch on Aug 16th, 2006, 6:43am Ghosts are real, though some of us has not seen any in all our lives. They are spirits that refused to leave this world for a variety of reasons. Some of them do not even know that their physical body are no longer with the living. Others who have died a gruesome death in the hands of wicked people refused to leave until the wrong done to them has been put to right. Some other spirits still roam around because they have a hard time leaving their loved ones. And some spirits remain on earth because they can't let go of some possessions they left behind. It is believed that those who can see ghosts in their spirit forms has a "third eye". Some do not see them but only able to "feel" feel them. Like a sudden gush of wind in a still surroundings or rooms, or the sudden movement of things when no one is touching them, or strangely finding something that belongs to a dead person in a place where they used to put it when you are sure that you have kept it some place else. And many other strange phenomenons that some people find it hard to believe but they do exist. There are mischevous spirits who likes to play around, not to scare people but just to let them be aware of their presence. And there are also mean spirits who has been around for ages but still refused to leave. They are harmless though, unless you touch something that belongs to them and have been guarding all their spirit lives. Ghosts are everywhere, even as you read this, there is one nearby where you are sitting. ;) If anyone wants to post their own experiences, or heard some stories from reliable sources and want to share it with us, please feel free to do so. |

Title: Re: True Ghost Stories......unfolded Post by Wicked_Witch on Aug 16th, 2006, 7:26am Story # 1: Sarah's Uncle Lando had a massive heart attack and was confined to a well-known hospital in Makati. He was in a coma and the doctor said he did not have long to live. Family members took turns in watching over him in case he wakes up. Sarah stayed up all night watching her uncle so she came home sleepy and tired that morning but decided to take a quick shower before going to bed. She happen to glance at her watch and saw that it was already 8:35 am. When she stepped off the shower, she smelled the aromas of sampaguitas, the Philippines national flower. It was not just a whiff but a strong fragrance, like the whole bathroom is filled with the scent of the flowers. It lasted for about two minutes before disappearing. Tired, Sarah shrugged it off as her imaginations. She was drying herself off when the phone rang. It was her aunt informing her that uncle Lando has passed away at 8:35 am. She numbly put the phone back in its cradle. But instead of deep sadness, she felt at peace. Her uncle had said goodbye to her. Story # 2: While they were at the funeral parlor waiting for uncle Lando's body to be embalmed, a man came asking for uncle Lando's wife. "I am Mrs. Reyes, his widow. May I help you?" "His widow? You mean he's dead?" He scratched his head in confusion. "How can that be? I am his car mechanic and he was just at the shop this morning at about 9:00 o'clock? He told me to bring the car when it's finished to this funeral parlor. At that time I did not think it's strange. I thought he will be here to visit someone, can't believe it's him!" "That's my husband, ever the thoughtful one. He knew we will be wondering about his car. Thank you." The mechanic left with goosebumps in his arms and made the sign of the cross before he left. Story #3: Mrs. Reyes ordered a bunch of fresh flowers for her husband's funeral wake. She called the florists and told them where to deliver it. She always ordered from the same florists in the past when there are occassions in her house because her husband like to look at them at parties. Mrs. Reyes gave them the time she wants it delivered so she can bring them herself when she go to the funeral parlor. It's to be delivered after dinner. But it was already very late when the delivery van arrived and Mrs. Reyes has already left. On his way home, the driver got lost. He kept turning around and ended up in the same street where Mrs. Reyes live. He found it strange because he has been to her house a couple of times already and it's not even hard to find. It was past midnight when he was able to find his way back to the highway. After the funeral, the driver went back to collect the payment and the same thing happened to him. He got lost and this time, he can't find his way to Mrs. Reyes' house. It took him several tries turning here and there before he was able to find the house he was looking for. When he got there, he related the story to Mrs. Reyes and she informed him that that's her husband's way of punishing him for being late in delivering the flowers because he was a punctual man and expected everyone to be the same in dealing with him. |

Title: Re: True Ghost Stories......unfolded Post by Wicked_Witch on Aug 19th, 2006, 6:43am Ghost of Baguio Earthquake Tom and Jerry (not their real names) are not really brave souls. They just do not believe in ghosts. And after the 1990 killer earthquake that heavily destroyed some buildings in Baguio and killed so many people, they have heard of ghost stories from those who live nearby. Jerry lives in Baguio but Tom is a cousin who lives in Manila. It was just a daring night for each of them wanting to at least prove the existence of any. They first passed by the Hyatt Hotel on South Drive. They heard that the wind over there usually carries moans and cries of those who died there. But aside from an occasional dog barks slicing through the night, they heard nothing more. So they moved on. Their next destination was Brent Road. It was a semi-residential road so at 8 pm the road were free of traffic. They parked near the Pink Sisters Convent and Jerry turned on the car stereo. After a minute or so, they thought they heard something so Jerry turned off the radio. There it was again. It sounds like a dog howling, but unlike the one at South Drive, this dog sounded like the ones in scary movies. Then the howling stopped. They laughed nervously and dismissed the howling dog as one of the "special effects" of Jerry's old car. They sat back and turned on the music again. Then they heard the sound again. This time it was a little louder. They were starting to freak out for the sound has a chiling effect. Jerry turned off the radio and started the car and prepared to leave. So much for ghost hunting. And then they saw her. A lone woman walking down the road. They didn't know where she came from. They just saw her there and it's strange coz since they were preparing to leave, their eyes were focused on the road ahead of them. The woman was walking with a cane and with the way she used it, they assumed she was blind. They thought it's a little weird that whoever her family is that they would let her walk alone in the middle of the road and late at night? Though the sight of her gave them the creeps, they followed her nonetheless. And they swear not each of them turned their sight off the woman but at some curve of the road, the woman disappeared from sight. They thought that maybe someone had fetched her afterall. They were laughing thinking how silly they acted. They were parked now under a street lamped and dimly illuminated. Jerry shift the gear and intended to start to drive their way back home since it was very late already. He turned to Tom to say something when he froze in shock. For in Tom's side of the window was the woman they were following. It's face was against the window and looked very sad. Tom was startled by the expression on Jerry's face looking past him. So he turned to look too and he saw the same thing. He has more presence of mind so he shouted for Jerry to step on the gas. As the car speed off, Tom turned back once more to check if the "person" was following them. And it was strange that they didn't see anyone back there for the road was straight and they have only gone a short distance away. They were still both shaking when they reached Jerry's house. At the door, they were greeted by Jerry's family's Igorota housemaid, an old woman. And her words to them as she stood by to let them pass was "there was a presence who followed you here. I can feel it. I'll go light the candle at the altar and say some prayers so she will stop bothering the two of you. What did you do to disturb her anyway?" They did not reply and just quietly followed the Igorota and said their prayers. That night, they swore off ghost hunting. |

Title: Re: True Ghost Stories......unfolded Post by Wicked_Witch on Aug 23rd, 2006, 9:29am Kaye and Jimmy were newly weds. They worked hard to save some money so they can have a house ready for them to move in after the wedding. They were very happy to buy a cheap, old, big house at Magallanes Village in Makati at a price which was almost like a steal. They were the third owners. The family who owns it sold the house after their grandmother died and no one of her grandchildren wants to live there. They took the things they can move and left the bulky ones down the basement. The second owner stayed only for 3 months but Kay and Jimmy didn't know that. They were the third owner. A month after they have moved in and settled comfortably, Kaye was awakened one night by loud music coming from the living room downstairs. She woke up Jimmy and asked him to check. Might be a burglar or something. Taking his golf club with him, Jimmy walked down the stairs and turn on the lights, an old chandelier, by the door. Seeing nothing, he decided to get a glass of water since he's already downstairs. He was on his way back from the kitchen when he encountered an old woman dress in terno in the middle of the room looking at him up and down haughtily as if disgusted with his pajamas. Not knowing what to do, he said hello to her. She didn't say anything but just turned her back on him and walk towards one of the room down the narrow hallway leading to a room. Out of curiousity, he followed her. But when he opened the room, there is no one there so scratching his head in puzzlement, he went back to bed. Three nights after that, both of them heard the noise of the loud music again. Jimmy reasoned out that maybe there is a party in the neighborhood. But Kaye insisted that the noise was coming downstairs so hand in hand, they both went down to investigate. When they reached the middle of the stairs, they were stupified by the scene that greeted them. There seems to be a grand ball going on. With most of the guests in dresses that are similar to terno's like the one Imelda Marcos was fond of wearing. Except that these women's were more elaborate and longer and the men has short haircuts and wearing similar to tuxedos. In the middle of the group Jimmy saw the old woman from the other night and pointed it out to his wife. "You saw a ghost the other night and you didn't tell me?" "Well, I thought it was just my imaginations so I didn't make a big deal out of it." Jimmy sheepisly explained. "Does this look like imaginations to you?" Kaye raised her voice a little so she can be heard on top of the loud music playing. All of a sudden, the music stopped and all the "guests" evaporated. The temperature in the room dropped too. The couple, feeling the chilling coldness ran to their room upstairs deciding to consult a clairvoyant the next day. they were told to check for some things the ghosts left behind. She said it's the reason they keep coming back. The next morning after that, they decided to clean the basement of things that do not belong to them. Kaye took noticed of a large chest covered by bits and pieces of the old furnitures. When they opened it, they found several gowns identical to what the women were wearing at the "party" the night before. They called the family of the owner and told them what happened and what they want to do. Finally they were informed of the story behind the ghost. And how she would show herself and her "guests" to new owners of "her" house. "That must be my great grandmother you saw. In her days she used to throw lavish parties, being the socialite that she was. And she was very popular too! But she got killed in a tragic accident two days before her 28th birthday, in March 17. Which was so sad because she was planning to throw the biggest party this town has ever seen. She designed that gown herself but never had the chance to wear it. I thought it was among her things we moved to our old house in Batangas." "That's the night we saw the "party"!" Kaye exclaimed rubbing her arms as she suddenly felt cold. A week after the family has moved the rests of the family things, Kaye and Jimmy invited a priest to bless the house and after that, the ghost has finally laid themselves to rest. At least in the couple's house. But Batangas is another story. |

Title: Re: True Ghost Stories......unfolded Post by Wicked_Witch on Aug 28th, 2006, 6:34am Jack and his friends are medical students who were trying to get into a Frat in their school, the one attached to a hospital along Taft Ave. They were told to spend a night at the hospital morgue for their first initiation. The morgue was off limits to students so they had to bribe the guard for them to get in. They figured the frat officers will never knew if they spend it inside the morgue or not so they decided to just find a floor where they can spend the night. They checked a couple of floors and finally settled on the 5th floor of the deserted building. They spent some good hours talking before sleep finally caught them. At 2 a.m., Paco, one of Jack's friend was awakened by the sound of someone crying. He shook Jack and another friend awake and they heard it, too. The pitiful sounds of a woman crying. They decided to investigate because it sounds like it's coming from one of the room on their left. As they near the room where the sound was coming from, the cry grew louder, and was now accompanied by babies wails when they are in pain. They look at each other frightfully, but Jack, thinking that it was probably the Frat officers "initiating" them by playing a trick on them pushed open the door, and there it was, a girl in a hospital gown with her hair falling in disarray around her as if she had been struggling with someone. She was looking down at something that looks like a bed women used when delivering babies. At the sound they made, the girl looked at them. She has a sad look on her face and she looked quite young. At that point, they were all rooted at the spot where they stood and try as they might, could not make their bodies to move, shout or run. They just stood their, as if watching a movie, as they heard a baby crying and the woman turned to the bed once again and made a motion as if picking up a baby but they see nothing or no one in her arms. Then the baby's cry grow louder and louder and soon the whole room was filled with babies' pitiful cries. That's when the boys seemed to get out of a trance and started running out of the room scrambling for the stairs. And they were shouting all the while which alerted the guard they bribed earlier, an old man. When they saw him, they tried to speak at the same time that the guard barely understood them. When at last he got their story straight, the old man smiled and said, "ah, that must be the ghost of Emily you have seen. No longer frightened, the boys got curious now and listened intently as the old man related to them the story of Emily. Apparently, in the old days, about 20 years ago, there was a popular doctor at the hospital who impregnated a young student nurse. He was well-liked by his collegues and married, too. He begged the girl to let him perform an abortion on her to avoid scandal. But the girl refused to, and so one night after their lovemaking, the doctor drugged the girl and performed the abortion anyway. But the girl died of drug overdosed. The doctor was able to cover up his crime, but died in a freak accident a few weeks after that. And then Emily's ghost started showing at the same room since then. |

Title: Re: True Ghost Stories......unfolded Post by Wicked_Witch on Sep 6th, 2006, 9:35am Every Sunday, Alisa and her family would dress up nicely and go to mass. Afterwards, they would look around at the bazaar set up at the plaza in front of the church which was only there on Sundays. Alisa was always looking forward to it because her parents always buy her a trinket or something of her choice. One Sunday though, Alisa came down with a fever and was unable to go with her parents to the church. She has tried to convince them that she was well enough to go but they still refused to take her. They left her in the care of the new nanny. But being an only child, Alisa was precocious and stubborn. She waited for her parents to leave the house, waited a few minutes and then sent her nanny to the kitchen to fix her something to eat. As soon as the woman stepped out of her room, she snuck out of the house through her window and walk towards the church, which was not far. The mass has ended when she got there and she stood looking around for her parents. She saw an elderly lady watching her intently. Being a respectful child, she smiled at the old woman and said, “Good morning.” The old woman approached Clara and asked her if her parents knew that she was out at the bazaar. Alisa shook her head no. “Come, I will take you home. They will worry that you are not home.” Alisa took the hands of the woman and they started walking towards her house. She was puzzled at first that the woman seems to know which house belongs to her but she thought maybe she has seen her and her parents sometimes when they go home from the church. When they were near the gate, the old woman stopped walking and instructed her to get inside the house now as her parents were looking for her. “How did she know?” Thought Alisa. But before she could ask the woman, the gate of their house was flung open and there run her parents to meet her. “Why did you leave the house alone? And how did you get home all by yourself?” They asked, worry still in their voices. “Oh, a nice old woman brought me here. Wait, I have forgotten to thank her.” She turned around intending to thank the woman, but she was nowhere to be found. “Where did she go? She was just standing here a minute ago. Just before you opened the gate!” Her parents got worried that it might be someone dangerous so they asked their daughter to describe what the old woman looked like. “She has long hair and older than you and Papa and she has a mole on her right cheek and she was wearing a long purple dress.” Her parents looked at each other, their eyes big. But they dare not say anything in front of their daughter. So they sent her to her room to change. When she was gone, they asked the question that was uppermost in their minds. "She was talking of Nana Rosa!" "And we were at her funeral just two weeks ago! This is spooky..." "I know. Nana Rosa has been in this family for as long as I can remember. She was Mama's nanny and then mine. Too bad she got seriously ill or Mother would have let her stay on with her. They were both old now anyway." "Oh well, I guess she still want to take care of the children of this family." |

Title: Re: True Ghost Stories......unfolded Post by Wicked_Witch on Sep 8th, 2006, 10:34am [ In the province of Tarlac, there was an old stone house overlooking the street inherited by a family belonging to the original owner of the house. Since the family, the husband and wife and their three young son, has fallen on hard times, they do not have enough money to make a complete renovation of the house, except the ground floor where they added some bricks and paints. The house has not been lived in for a couple of years so some of the windows and walls has either cracks on it or has completely fallen off. There was a room at the second floor of the house that was hardly ever used except to store broken and old furnitures. To avoid getting anything wet when it rains, Mang Gusting, the man of the house, just nailed the window to it’s place and used some vinyl papers to cover the broken glass of the window. A few weeks after they have moved in, some members of the family would hear angry voices inside that room as if arguing or scolding someone. At first they thought it must be some robbers because when they go in to investigate, they will find out that the window was open, the nails has come off the wooden frame. But it puzzles them that they can’t find anything missing or signs that the place has been ransacked or if someone has been there. Finding nothing, Mang Gusting would just nail the window back. The next morning, they will find the window open again. After the 4th time, the family just got tired of doing it that they just left it open since it’s summer and it’s unlikely to rain anyway. Across the street was a small canteen which sells dishes to passersby and the neighborhood. One day when he was alone in the house, Mang Gusting decided to just eat at the small canteen. “Give me some rice and adobo please, Clara.” “Right away, Mang Gusting. Oh, by the way, did you decided to rent one of the rooms upstairs? You are very smart to do that what with so many rooms and your family so few.” She said while dishing out the food from the pan. Mang Gusting was clearly puzzled. “What do you mean? Even if I want to I can’t rent out any of the rooms upstairs because they are really in bad shape so no one will want to live there.” Now it was the woman’s turn to get confused. “But every afternoon I always see a beautiful woman on that window over there!” She said pointing to the window that was always left open these days. “What does she look like? Did you get to talk to her?” “No I did not. But she is very beautiful, she has long hair and she’s mestiza (Spanish) and looks very sad, as if she has been crying.” That night, Mang Gusting talked it out with his wife and they both agreed to visit relatives in the next town who might know something about the house. Now that they think about it, they wonder why the house has been abandoned for years. ON their way back home from visiting relatives, they still can’t believe that they have been living in that house with the ghost of Mang Gusting’s great aunt, Maria Isabel. They also learned her story. Apparently, her parents has arranged marriage for her with the son of a family friend. But Maria Isabel was already in love with someone else and so she refused to wed anyone else. But in those days, the rich refused to wed anyone else. But in those days, the rich marry the rich so she was not given any choice. When her parents found out about her lover, they locked her in that room and all she did the whole day was cry and look out the window hoping to at least catch a glimpse of her beloved. On the eve of her wedding, she found out that her uncle shoot her lover when he attempted to force his way inside the gate of their property to talk to her one last time. She was so stricken with grief that before anyone can stop her, Maria Isabel jumped through the window breaking her neck and skull. Mang Gusting’s family held a mass inside that particular room and sprinkled a picture of her with holy water and prayed for her soul and asked her to forgive her family. |

Title: Re: True Ghost Stories......unfolded Post by Wicked_Witch on Oct 18th, 2006, 9:04am THE GIRL IN THE BASEMENT The students and teachers of a private school in Quezon City has always complained of hearing voices and seeing apparition when they happen to pass by the stairs leading to the school's basement. The school administration has done it's best to drive away the "crying lady's ghost" by having the place blessed and sprinkled with holy water, numbers of mass, but to no avail. Cherry was a young, bright student who was graduating in college. She also teaches the grade 1 pupils as a special training for her course which is BSED majoring in Elementary Education. Being an only daughter, she had always like kids. Mang Cornelio or as "Mang Kune" as he was known to all the students in the said school was the live-in carpenter who was also given a spare room at the basement of the school where broken desks and tables where stacked for repairs, because he claimed to be single and with no family. On the last day of school, Cherry was on her way home when she remembered one of her pupil's chair with broken legs. The rowdy youngsters probably kept on jumping in it when she was not around, she tought. She decided to tell Mang Kune since no one else will find out about it until the opening of the new schoolyear. And even then, it may take weeks before the old man will be able to repair it. Humming to herself, she made her way to the far end of the building. This side of the building are often deserted because it was under construction. And since it was already closing time, Cherry met no one on her way down. Unbeknown to her, Mang Kune was in one of his depression mood. He often gets it when he has no money in his pocket. He likes to drink when he was not working. He thought it unjust that the schoolboard will not let him loan money in advance of his salary. He was itching to go out that night and play cards with some of his friends somewhere in Sta. Ana where he used to live. When he saw Cherry approaching, his spirits lift up because she often lend him money in the past and of course, he never paid her back which the girl do not seem to mind. Afterall, her family is rich. In fact, she has never mentioned the money he owed her. But when she told him she has no cash money in her person, that angered Mang Kune. He thought Cherry was lying to him. He insisted on borrowing money and when Cherry turned to leave, he grabbed her from behind and threw her on the floor. Then he ransacked her handbag for her purse. But except for some loose change and credit cards, he did not find any money. He turned to look at the girl lying there unmoving, her clothes hitched up to her thighs, some evil overtook him and thought to get his revenge by raping her. When he was done, it was only when he noticed that she was not breathing. He thought she was just unconscious. That made him doubly nervous so he thought of ways he can conceal the body. Finally, he thought of burrying her on one part of the wall where the bricks had come lose. He knew he can't put new cement on it for it would be too obvious. So he just cover the wall by transferring all the junks and broken chairs and tables in that area. It took the FBI 5 weeks to discover Cherry's decaying body. The janitor who comes to work early in the morning to clean the surroundings reported to the guard about a "terrible" smell coming from the small window in the basement of the school. Together, they went to investigate for fear of reprisals from their superiors. That's when they found the body. Mang Kune was apprehended right away. |

Title: Re: True Ghost Stories......unfolded Post by Wicked_Witch on Nov 28th, 2006, 7:28am In Las Pinas, there is a vacant lot there where cops dump bodies of salvage victims. Sometimes residents find mutilated bodies of holdup or rape victims also. When dark comes, no one likes to linger or even walk near this place because it is believed to be hunted. On some nights, pitiful cries can be heard and dogs would howl facing the vacant lot. Alfred and his friends have discovered the place one day and since they like to drink somewhere where no one will bother them, they have started to go there regularly. They also do not believe in ghosts. One night, Albert and his friends went there again in his father's owner-type jeep. They parked the vehicle on the side of the road and was waiting for one more of their friend, Russel. They have started drinking and were on their second bottle when they noticed the jeep moving. They thought the friend they were waiting for were trying to play a joke on them by scaring them. So they all laughed and shouted in the direction of the jeep. "Hoy, Russel, sige pa! Ang lakas mo pare, ah! Tulak pa!" (Hey, Russel, come on, push it some more. You are strong, eh?) And then they laughed some more. They do not mind of course that no one was in front of the wheel. They just assumed their friend was pushing from behind the jeep. When it kept moving, Alfred got pissed off and told "Russel" to stop it since it's moving away at a distance from them and Alfred likes the jeep to be where he can keep eye on it. When the jeep still kept moving, he got up and went to berate "Russel". When he reached the jeep, he didn't find his friend anywhere around. And he was puzzled because there is no way he can run without them seeing him coz everyone's looking in the direction of the jeep by now. And there are no trees or bushes for him to hide. So he shouted back at his friends asking them if they saw Russel. Puzzled, the other two friends went to join him. Then Alfred's celfon rang. It was Russel. "Pare, bad trip, dumating erpats ko di ako makaalis eh, next time na lang!" (Bad trip, my father came home and won't let me go out. I'll join you next time, ok?) When Alfred related to his friends what Russel said and where he was at that moment, they all look at each other, mouth gaping. Then scrambled inside the jeep leaving everything behind them. |

Title: Re: True Ghost Stories......unfolded Post by Wicked_Witch on Jan 15th, 2007, 9:19am THE HAUNTED CUBICLE BEST FRIENDS Sam and Trish always visit the ladies' room before, during, and after classes. One day, after their last class in the evening, as usual, they went to the ladies' room. Sam went inside a cubicle nearest to the window to pee, while Trish went in front of the mirror to comb her hair. She was with two other girls. She glanced at them in the mirror and she noticed that they have that sad look in their eyes as they stared at her though the mirror also. It's creepy because she also noticed that they just kept combing her hair on and on. She would have felt at ease when they turned to leave, except that they did not used the door but went through the wall. Horrified, Trish ran out of the room screaming forgetting that she left Sam inside. She came back with some other students but they found nothing, not even Sam. She thought she must have gotten frightened and left too. She never saw her again because she went home to the province. When school opened the next sem, she still did not see Sam so she thought she must still be in her own province. One day, alone in the ladies' room, she felt a gush of wind as it touched her skin. Which is rather strange because the window was close. She searched for the hairbrush in her handbag and as she looked up to comb her hair, she saw the writings on the mirror in blood red. It sez "Why did you leave me here, Trisha?" She couldn't move and just kept on screaming and screaming. Later that day, she found out that Sam's body was found in a grassy lot behind the school, she has been raped and murdered. No one knew what happened. Finally, Trisha was admitted to the mental hospital because everytime she looked at a mirror, she would start screaming Sam's name over and over again. |
