Title: Exotic Foods
Post by thebeast on Jan 18th, 2004, 3:52pm
List some exotic foods that u have tried and if u liked them or not. Exoitic food would be considered something that u dont eat a lot. Here is an example:

Frog Legs- For an appetizer I eat frog legs at some to the cajun restaraunts I eat at in Dallas. They are good and taste like chicken.

Snails- I ate some of these a few years ago. Didnt like them. Im not into bugs or slugs or insects.

Fried Rattlesnake-In Texas and Oklahoma they have yearly events called rattlesnake hunts where all these crazy people get together in a small town and go out around the area to hunt down the biggest rattlesnake over a weekend. Well they skin and fry a lot of what they catch. Not much meat on a rattlesnake but it tastes like chicken to me. Its good.

okay I know lots of people have tried lots of weird stuff. So please list and discuss. :)

I've tried spicy snails in coconut milk.... tried it twice I think at my Lola's (grandma).... I liked it.... just that it take so long to eat....  :)

I've yet to try frogs?  :P I don't think  I can though....

Frog Legs- taste like chicken

Alligator- It was very chewy, but good.

Octapus- another chewy food.

I grew up on a farm and we ate the livestock and hunted. This is what we had on the farm and/or in the freezer.

Goat- growing up we ate it alot, but I haven't eaten it in years.

Racoon- taste like squirel

Squirel- taste like racoon

rabbit- a taste of it's own

Elk- taste like deer

Damn I'm getting hungery. Think I'll order a pizza.  :D
