Title: Love Or Pride
Post by tarantada on Mar 9th, 2004, 2:41am
Will you compromise your pride for love?

Pride is one of the most common causes of breakups.

True love is so hard to find and letting it go is like experiencing an emotional bankruptcy so can you say HELL with PRIDE? :-/

I agree....and i'm talking from experience, now where is analyn and gracia..... ;D

for me, if the love u feel is enough to say hell pride then why not.....

like they say it's better to lose your pride cause of love than lose your love cause of pride.

When i'm in love..to hell with pride... as long as my self-respect not taken away too  ;D

in loving someone you already have set aside your pride in the corner, so while at it ... lock that pride in that corner, and don't ever let it escape  ;D

experience wise, i'm too humble when in love..ask me  ;D lolz

i agree with mylane, if the love is enough to say hell with pride then why not.

gracia is correct...as long as you still got your self respect then hell with pride.

analyn I just wish it is that easy to lock or set aside your pride. Can you tell me how to do that?

As what i ve red from the book....

Love asks that you give up judgment, fear, resentment, shame, hurt, and expectation of love returned. Love asks that you forgive all harm done. This does not mean that you forget harm done or continue to place yourself in harm's way. Setting healthy boundaries is good. It means that you must claim full responsibility for your experience. You must give up seeing yourself as a victim and see yourself as a divine being worthy of great love. Love commands of us that we simply give of our hearts freely and unconditionally....

So thats it mymy cuz...unconditional love ;)

i think there are still few people who's a giver of unconditional love mylene....but hard to find.  Only Jesus is the sole example of a giver of unconditional love.

one should NEVER degrade themselves for another. But if you have love, and the person you love truely loves you in return...they would never put your pride in jeopardy.

For the record; I will do anything for my love. Even cooking.

BUT  since I  love her, I wouldn't  let her eat my  cooking...bwahahahahahaha ;D

A strange thought just came over me concerning love and pride and I looked for the right bloq to place it in.This seems to be the best one.Love I believe is when you dont think "what has he/she done for me lately?" but rather "what have I done for him/her lately?"(sorry JFK ;D).If you or the one you love thinks that way everyday. Then that is true love. :)

Um, is it like saying "Love is not measured by the way the other person makes you feel, but by the way you make them feel." ? ???
