Title: The Tale of a Wicked Witch
Post by Wicked_Witch on Aug 15th, 2005, 3:08am
Lol....now I have made my Blog. At first I didn't know what this means so I dont take much notice. Now I see its some kind of a diary. ;D Anyway, Im just a simple witch so my life is pretty simple too. My day usually starts with me seeing my kids off to school. My 15-year old son's name is Bryan, and my daughter is 19 and is in second year in college. When I was still working I would leave the house after they did. But after the death of my husband last April, and the waiting for his body to be sent home from
Saudi Arabia, I have stopped working. I cant give it enough concentration anyway. I have a lot on my mind. And I thought it would be unfair to my boss to still be paying me when I dont even show up for work so I resigned. Now I am starting a small business right here in my house. It's a mineral water delivery store but its still under construction. I thought hard of what I want to do with the money my late husband left me and this is what I came up with. I did a lot of things in my life that I am not proud of, but I did it for some personal reasons. I did not set out to deliberately mislead people or hurt some. Oh well...lessons in life are always hard to learn.

Thank you, Beth ;DYou're one of the most toughtful persons here, do you know that? You never fail to give your support to anyone wether they ask for it or not. Very nice attitude in life ;)[smiley=cat36.gif]Anyway, I was in the room earlier today and I saw this clone harassing cathy aka sexbomb. Some of the men were saying it's her right to do what she wants, expose herself on cam or whatever other lewd things they say she does in her cam. I agree, its her own business. But when u do things in public, you make it everybody's business, right? And I agree also to some of the things the cloner was saying. Like she's giving a bad image to pinays. We know that when these jerks say mean things...they generalize the pinays. so why add fuel to the fire, right? Sometimes too, its hard to get inside the room coz its full of strangers all asking to view her cam.So see? Its interfering in my net career!  [smiley=frog.gif]But I dont want to get involve, like hurt someone's feelings or start a fight so Im just saying what I feel here in my blog ;DAny comments? Just dont bite my head off, ok? ;D

so, lets just live our life... take each day as it comes ;D

and about the biting... 8) hmmm... can l bite you?   am famished [smiley=cat39.gif]

I realize i spend more time being here at the forum than in a chatroom. It's because I really love to write and I love putting my thoughts into words. In high school I was a busybody. Dividing my time between the school organ and playing softball and volleyball and later, the activist group. Coz I graduated during the Martial Law. I used to write school plays too, specially at the height of the Marcos regime. Of course it was always radical in ideas ;DI like to spend a lot of time in school coz there's nothing for me at home. I was living with a wicked aunt at that time. She's a real witch and too bad my Uncle, may he rest in peace, let her get away with everything. It was really a struggle for me in those days. Most of the time I live in dreams. I can't even go on dates. :-[
On happy notes ;DI'm really glad I thought of constructing my small business right here at home. When we first planned this, my family thought of renting a place somewhere busy. But I convinced them that at this point in time I can't worry about paying rents coz here in Manila they are usually expensive no matter how small the place is. So now I can go online while tending the store at the same time ;D

I missed chatting for 3 days :PFriday was my laundry day. And that night I had a dinner with an old beau from way back when I was still single. He was here on vacation from the US but his family is from the province too and he found out about my husband's death so he got my number from the same friend who gave him the info. He's divorced now with 3 kids. Prior to the dinner we've been talking on the phone. He's the first boyfriend I had since running away from home when I was 19. I didnt really love him but at that time, I need someone to hold on to coz I was "drowning" in the sea of life. But his parents thought I wasn't good enough for him. Dang, but still...the rejection hurt. He was my supervisor at the semi-conductor company I used to work for. Needed him to get past my probation period. ;DBut hey, I would have been a good wife to him if he had given me the chance. Then he left for the US with promises to write and call. But I stopped waiting after a few months. Calls and letters won't make my life better in those days ahead. Now he's back. Too bad I dont need/want him anymore. Actually the story goes deeper than us being just bf/gf, but that's private.
Saturday is my bowling tournament. The team we went up against happens to be karaoke-crazy bunch. So the team's  captains made a bet that we're going out that night and whoever lose will pay. Our team lost of course ;DAfter the game, we went out. At the bar...since I expect to share the expenses, I thought to myself that I should at least enjoy my money. So I ordered a lot of drinks the whole night. When the bar closed at 3 am, I was embarass to find out that the bill was taken care of! ;DSheez...! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]Anyway, to save face, I invited all of them to have some coffee somewhere else ;DSunday, I woke up very late of course. Then went to church for the 12 noon mass. And after that I went to the hospital to visit my bestfriend who was operated on for a cyst in her ovary and spent the rest of the afternoon cheering her up.That's how I missed the chat for 3 days. I just visited the forum for a short time when I can last weekend.

Yesterday, the son of my neighbor died of pneumonia and the funeral is being held at their house. And they live right next to mine. So everytime I look out the window, I see the many people that come and goes. Some are sincerely sharing the griefs of the parents, some just want to partake the free meals. Some just wanted to join in the gaming table. some just wanted to hang around for lack of nothing better to do in their own homes. There are two places that I try to avoid spending much time in. They are funerals and hospitals. I always associate them with pains and miseries. I hate the sight of blood. I never like it when they prick my fingers to get a blood sample! Ouch!!You @#&$%$#@! [smiley=rock.gif]My bestfriend is out of the hospital now and is resting in her house. She said she's bored at the hospital doing nothing when she can do it at home and be more comfortable. Good for her and for me. :P I keep putting off going back there to visit.Oh well, I guess I'll see u all around. Thanks for dropping by, friends and good moanin' to you all [smiley=icon_thanks.gif]

Hello Mymy and Cooch ;DThank you very much for showing concerns. It's still under construction right now. The carpenters can't do much when it's raining which is most of the days now. Im hoping they can finish up before the end of September so I can have the store blessing ceremony then get this show on the road. All my friends are very anxious too. Prolly coz Im giving them a cheaper price than the one where they are currently getting their supplies from ;D
I've had a bad weekend. :'(Friday and Saturday I did not drink in any of the occassions I went to coz I'm saving all my "energy" for Sunday which is my sister's birthday. She gives great party, lots of foodstuffs and drinks ;DAnd this year she asked that she celebrates it here in my house to make sure everyone will make an effort to attend. She lives somewhere in Lagro. Its far and the dirtroad we have to pass thru is terrible just to reach her place ::)SAturday night though as usual is my bowling games. I did not really plan to drink either on that night. But on the second game, we were losing heavily and my aims kept on straying either to the left or the right, when it should be hitting the middle. I think the score is making me nervous. So when my team mates insisted I drink some, I accepted. And before I realized it, I have consumed 5 bottles already!! :oAnd Im not even a beer person! But I should have known better. I know I should not drink when Im not in the mood and not beer too! :-/Coz aside from losing the game, the next day I woke up with a tummy ache. :'(And I still have to wake up early and go to the market coz I need to buy some things for the party since I agreed to contribute to the menu. All the while I was cooking, the pain is intensifying. :'(The meal is for dinner. And as time approaches, I knew I wont be able to make it and join them [smiley=bigcry.gif]I already tried drinking maalox and lots of tea. It lessens the pain but I knew that if I eat or drink alcohol, the pain will escalate to something fierce. So at the time of the party, I was in my room, holding a bottle of hot water to my stomach, tossing and turning while they drink and sing dance to the karaoke downstairs!! Everybody in the family was there. I have 6 sisters and 3 brothers. Their kids came too and so was my Mom. And of course our friends. Can you imagine how dreadful I was feeling that day? And to think I've been saving myself for that special day! [smiley=bigcry.gif]  [smiley=bigcry.gif][smiley=bigcry.gif]I was awake the whole night too coz they were very noisy downstairs! It's a good thing Monday was a holiday so I dont have to wake up early to see the kids off to school. By midmorning though I was already feeling a little better ;DSo last night I was able to get online and stayed till late. [smiley=icon_dance.gif]
But I think Im having a headache now for spending too much time here at the forum for trying to post as much as I can :-/You know how I love to write ;)anyway, that's my weekend ;DNow its time for me to visit the chatroom and harass people [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]

A strange thing happen to me last night at the room which really puzzles me. I went to the room, was returning hugs and kisses, when from out of the blue I read aisha (todd's partner) called me a two-faced b*tch? I kinda went :oI thought she was just joking till she repeated it to someone who asked her. That's when I finally realized she's serious. I tried to talk to her but she told me to JUST not talk to her and put me on ignore. She also typed in the room that I was backstabbing her. Again I went huh? :oIn all my chatting time at AC1, I swear on my father's grave that I have NEVER...EVER... talked about Aisha to anyone, be it in a good way, much more in a bad way. We may not be real close but she's one of the person I enjoy seeing inside the chatroom. And so is Todd. The only people I pm's here with on a regular basis are darlene, justine, chantiq, chelle, sayuri, meyie, chelby, roma, cel and wabbit. And I consider them all my good friends and so it follows that when I have something "juicy" to say about someone, shouldn't they be the one to hear it first instead of a not-close "friend"? And they can also attest to the fact that I dont talk about anyone unless there has already been a confrontation between me and that person. Heck, I dont even talk about some people I dislike coz I see no point in that? I may dislike some people but its not their problem, its mine..so why bother anyone with it? The others, I pm with only when there are important matters to discuss, and the rest I've been in pm with, is when they want to ask me or tell me something. So where did Aisha figures in any of this? But I am not angry with her. I know she's just a victim of someone's hatred towards me. I just hope Aisha would tell me who her source is, then everything will be clear to me. And too, I just wish she would not easily judge me without hearing my side first? Does she really trust this person, that she's ready to call me names without really finding out if it's true? I hope this has nothing to do with the incident that happened here at the forum last week. I must really be affecting someone's life If that person is now resulting to using other people to get back at me? ;DHow COWARDLY and BORING [smiley=sleeping.gif]!!The only thing I can say to that person is DONT HATE TOO MUCH. HATE IS A VERY STRONG EMOTION THAT CAN EAT YOUR WHOLE BEING AND TURN YOU INTO A BITTER PERSON. Honestly, I find these all so amusing ;D. Every person I have talked to, specially those I have met in person knows that I dont have a bad bone in my body, just wickedness ;)so it doesnt really bother me in the least. I just put it here in my blog so when someone hears something about this latest incident in my "net career",  [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]they will know my side of the story. ;)One last warning to that person, DON'T GO OVERBOARD AND ATTEMPT TO ASSASSINATE ME COZ YOU WILL FIND OUT I'M NOT THAT EASY TO KILL! [smiley=icon_dance.gif]Nyahahhaha! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]This is all so funny! Whoever you are, will you stop acting like a kid and give me back my barbie doll, you  [smiley=furious3.gif]take this! [smiley=rock.gif]and that! [smiley=rock.gif]Now you know not to make a witch angry! [smiley=roll.gif]

shuckz! Been busy these last few days taking care of a lot of things so I was unable to come online much like I used to which is most of my waking hours. Dang, sometimes I think I come online too even when I'm sleeping! [smiley=roll.gif]For 3 days now everytime I come home I'm dead tired from visiting government offices to register my store, getting mayor's permit, business permit, attending seminars on water purifying, and travelling thru traffics. Dratt! In all those offices I have visited I always have to fall in line!! Yesterday It's just my good luck to be assigned to a window where the woman spent most of her time on the phone than interviewing me! And I have to be somewhere at a certain time too so I was kinda in a hurry! Geez..!Dont you people hate it when you're in a hurry and then something always happen to cause a delay? Like when its your turn after a long line of applicants and you find out its not where you should be? And that's after asking the guard posted at the door where you want to be, ha? Or you were able to get online at the right window then the person would tell you she needs a zerox copy of something more when it's not even listed in their requirements? So that means you have to get out and do it and come back and fall in line again. ::) Or that of all the windows, you get to be at the one where the woman always have to answer phone calls or be disturbed by officemates asking personal questions, or has to go to the ladies' room? [smiley=wall.gif]And the worst is, you cant even complain coz you dont like to make a scene and therefore be delayed some more? Anyway, these are my days right now. Im sure it will get more exciting as I go on...as a matter of fact, I'm always expecting something annoying to happen to me everytime![smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]

Thanks again, Earthy :-*Actually I've finally discovered the problem with aisha. But the idea was so preposterous I ended up laughing my ass off instead of getting mad [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]Can you imagine me badmouthing someone on the mic? :D Heck! I only use the mic to sing,  ;DI even seldom talk!! [smiley=roll.gif]Dang! Sometimes I wonder if I'm one of the popular person in the room now for anyobody to bother maligning my person in any way ::)Anyway, it doesnt matter to me one way or another. All that matter is that the same people I call "friends" are still with me and are all advicing me to just ignore it, which is exactly what I'm doing.
Last Friday night I went out with some of my late hubby's sisters and a brother and my kids. I think they are trying to liven up what they think is my "widow's" boring life ;D.We went to a karaoke bar named Zirkoh. My daughter sang two songs too, she's really very good if I may say so ;DAnyway, the funny part was at one point, I was coming out of the ladies' room when I heard my name being called on stage to sing. Some people from my table must have pointed at me while I was walking towards our table. Coz when I look up (I was looking down all the time trying to dodge table, chairs and people cluttered around)...I saw that everyone was looking in my direction. And as drunk as I was I didnt even know what was going on till I saw my in-laws and kids cheering me on to get on stage! Shuckz!! I was not really planning to sing coz my daughter already did the honor. What really happened I think was that someone from the audience requested a certain song while I was at the ladies' room, to be sang by one of the hosts, of course.  But when no one from the audience responded to the calls of the hosts, my idiot in-laws decided to volunteer my name. I dont want to spoil the fun, so I did (of course! ;D)the first thing I said when I went upstage was "Shit, If I knew I was gonna be up here I would have made an effort to retouch my make up, maybe put on some lipstick at least while I was at the CR!! ;D"And the audience clapped their hands at that  :DThen there's the usual grilling of guests. My kids said I was an instant star that night coz I made everyone laughed at my responses to the questions or comments made to me. But I really dont remember much of what I said. ;D I did enjoy singing. The audience was very receptive ;)We went home at 4 a.m. Saturday was my bowling day and I forgot it's a teamate's bday. So last night there were lots of foods and wine and I couldnt get myself to drink anything anymore. If I even smell a drop of wine I think Im going to throw up [smiley=silly.gif]Dratt! I always miss out on the good things!!!  [smiley=furious3.gif] [smiley=furious3.gif][smiley=furious3.gif]

hehehehe!Sorry, cooch! :P I had a mental block for a while there. I keep clicking on "qoute" when what I want to do is "modify" ;D
Anyway, Im still not done with getting my store permits. Shucks, I didnt know it takes so much time getting one. Aside from the mayor's permit, there is this water analysis which I will need to present at the city hall before they can release that dang permit! And on top of that, Im also applying for the death benifits of my late husband so I'm really very busy going to and fro between different government offices. And they are far from each other so I have to beat traffics and red tapes everytime. Yesterday my day got off to a bad start. My daughter was using my car so I had to take a cab to the city hall. To avoid traffic, I specifically told the cab driver what route to use. When he's supposed to turn left somewhere, he went straight, and when I tried to tell him to turn the cab back, he said there's a traffic cop back there and would apprehend him if he tried to. Which is not true of course! I was seething inside because I know what he was trying to do. But I kept my quiet. When we got to the city hall, I checked the taxi meter and I saw the fare is P70 more than what I used to pay. It's P150.00 So I gave him P100 and opened the door. He said "ma'm, this is only P100? ur fare is P150.00? Then we started arguing thru the honks of the other cars behind ;DI told him Im not paying him anything more than what I used to coz i go there everyday and I know what road to take but he choose to ignore it and took the longer route instead!! [smiley=furious3.gif]He said he forgot it and was too late to go back coz it's a one-way traffic. I said either way its not my fault and he can call the cops if he wants to but Im not paying the whole amount!! Then I left. I did not look back to check if there's a cop following me ;DWhen I got there, there is a long line of applicants already waiting for their numbers to be called. Sheez..! It was all the fault of that stupid cab driver! >:(
And on my way home last night, I got caught up in a traffic jam coz of that protest rally at EDSA!!! I didnt even know about it or I would have taken a different route! And on top of that it was raining so hard that even if I wanted to I couldnt get off the cab and walk off to somewhere to get another cab!! So when I finally got home, I ended up paying the cab fare more! I wonder if its a bad karma? [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]Nope...I'm blaming the opposition this time! ;DI think it will still take a few more days before I can finally get online regularly like I used to...which is 7/24  [smiley=roll.gif][smiley=roll.gif]

Post by Wicked_Witch on Sep 12th, 2005, 3:30am
Strange things happened to me last night. I logged of early coz i felt so sleepy and tired from doing a lot travellings the whole day. But was not able to do so coz I got a phone call from a friend wanting me to accompany her to a funeral wake somewhere in Tandang Sora. She works at a call center and said she was not feeling well so she decided to take the night off. I teased her that I think she just want to have a good time somewhere instead of working. She said "are you kidding? If I want to spend the night having a good time I would have chosen to spend it in a bar and not in a funeral wake!" ;DAnyway, I got dressed (again, for the 3rd time that day) and waited for her to pick me up. The house we went to belongs to a chinese family. The 3rd daughter is her good friend way back in college. It was the father's funeral. Anyway, while we were there, we get to sit at a table along with some foreigners, a couple who are australians in their middle age and their old native Indian friend. As time passes by, the conversations varies from traffics to politics to businesses. Im not really into the conversation coz I'm watching a card game ;Dat the table next to us. I had a good view of one of the player, the cards I mean :PAnyway, my attention was called when all of a sudden, the indian man who was seating next to me suddenly asked If I had been to the US.I said no of course. I looked at him speculatively. Im thinking "is this old man going to hit on me?" :P But I couldn't be more suprised when he asked me if I believe in life after death. That got me really interested. So I focused my concentration on him and we get to talked a lot about things. My friend was listening to us and teased me "sheez..the people you attract!" I really enjoyed talking to him but its too bad they are going back to australia this wednesday. Anyway, that's not the strange part. This is. We went home at around 3 a.m. While getting ready for bed, I noticed the pic of my late husband beside my bed. I suddenly remember I need to gather all the papers I will need for the claims I was making with Social Security System (SSS). So i took out the old attache case my late hubby was using before I bought him a new one.Its where I keep all the important documents. While I was searching, I noticed an old envelop with plane tickets in it and hotel's bills. Thailand. And memories came back to me. I remember this Japanese couple at the lobby of the hotel. The young woman is blind and she was arguing with her father in japanese and the old man kept glancing my way. I thought he was embarass by her daughter's actions till he approached me and told me in halting english that her daughter wants to read my palm. I'm not into palm reading and Im always suspicious of people when Im in a strange place. But I told myself that what can an old man and a blind woman do to set me up for something as nasty as robbery or the likes? Besides, she got me curious so I said sure, why not? While she was tracing my palm, she said something in japanese which her father translated for me. It means "keep going, you're in the right path". I asked her father what she meant by that but he can't explain it, so I let it go at that. After they left, my hubby asked if I was told I'm going to be a rich woman someday! [smiley=roll.gif]Now..looking at the date of the first hotel bill, I realized it's been 20 years last night since I have met that blind japanese woman!! [smiley=omfg.gif]Im thinking now, do i get to meet some strange people every twenty years or what? [smiley=roll.gif][smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]I swear am not a witch in real life!  [smiley=crazysmile.gif] [smiley=crazysmile.gif] [smiley=crazysmile.gif]

Drattt! It's been raining heavily here everyday and the store construction is getting way to slow for my liking. The house is a mess! Everywhere there are steels, woods, carpentry tools!! And they put all the junks at the garage inside the house, too! So its like when you step in, you gotta be careful or you are more likely to trip on something!
And the red tapes at the city hall is killing me also! They never run out of things to ask me to submit ::) Not to mention my claims at the SSS. I hope we can all finish everything in two weeks time though.

Witchy witchy...don't forget the famous word "bribery" or say "under the table" or haven't you know?.....oh my...i'm due for punishment again!  Though the reality in Cebu especially on government offices is that its either you bribe as the shorter route or fall in line till you drop...that's the longer route.  I hate to admit that it's happening in my own City but that's inevitable now...crisis as they call it.

Title: Re: The Tale of a Wicked Witch
Post by Wicked_Witch on Sep 20th, 2005, 1:51am
Well, gracia, I think because Cebu offices are smaller compared to those government offices here. They are very strict here now, too. No fixers are allowed anymore inside the premises so if ever I want to bribe someone it would have been one from the inside. But unfortunately I do not know of anyone I can approach to help me. At the city hall I will never have that kind of problems. But SSS? Shucks, the huge lobby already intimidates me! [smiley=roll.gif] Counters all around, long lines of people waiting for their number to be called, sour-faced women manning the counters, (try to approach them and they will ask you to fall in line even if you just want to ask them something ::), strict guards, heck-it feels like I'm inside a bank or something! They look like robots, their faces are emotionless [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif].
And hey, Davie ex :-*I will surely do that if they piss me off some more ;D.
By the way, I finally had the courage to read some of my so called "past-life" existence. I never tried before coz I'm not ready to find out who or what I have been before. I have always wondered about my passion in helping those who are in needs? I always thought it's because I've been in that situation before so I can relate? But reading my life regress, I find out that in the past I have always been a very dependent child. That I always rely on other people to do things for me. And I learned too that I may be physically handicapped before, [smiley=omfg.gif] or that I may have been a farmer's wife or a nurse. Dang! And here I was hoping I was some kind of a Joan of Arc in my past life! Dream on, Witchy Pooh![smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]

Hehehe! Believe it or not I'm not done with the paperworks! For one I have to wait 7 working days for the result of  the water analysis I submitted. They need that before they can release the business permit from the city hall. And too, right now we have a Japanese house guest entrusted to me by a sister who is married to one.He will be here till October 8. This guy is 22 years old and loves to party, sheez!! But it's ok, now I can really go bar-hopping for free which we do most nights. Sometimes we take him out of town like Tagaytay, Subic, Quezon Province. He wants to go to Baguio but I dont have that much time to spare so I just bring him to places that are near homebase. Maybe I will bring him to Cebu, eh?;D He has money to burn, and I know just the places to burn it![smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]He's occupying my son's bedroom so my son sleeps in my bed these days. But he's not complaining, afterall he gets paid ;D My sister spefically instructed me not to let him stay in any hotel since he doesn't understand english and speaks only Japanese. Dang! My Niponggo is a little rusty now!  ;D The store is almost finished now. They are already laying out the tiles inside and the front. I'll take some pics at the inauguration and post it here for those who wants to check it ;)Wish all my chat friends are nearer though. You can all help me out by buying from me. [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]So these are the things that are keeping me busy these days. ;)

Wonder of all wonders! I finally did it! [smiley=icon_dance.gif] [smiley=icon_dance.gif] [smiley=icon_dance.gif]I'm done with all the paperworks that was keeping me buys these last few weeks!! Now I can concentrate more on my chat career [smiley=huepfenicon111.gif]Today is my sister's birthday so we are going to her place and staying there for the night also since she lives a little farther from us, in Lagro, Novaliches. It's scary to commute late at night and I am sure they will not let me drive when I'm drunk ;DI wonder what's going to happen later though. Whenever I get drunk and feel sleepy, I have always wanted to sleep in my own bed, not anywhere else. Sometimes I escape and go home on my own without telling anyone where I'm going. They are used to it by now so they dont worry about it anymore when they find me not around the vicinity anymore! ;DI dont get so drunk that I dont remember how to get home. Drunk for me is when I do not want to drink anymore. Dead drunk....now that's a different thing and it only happens when I'm in my own house :P or property. All is well here on my side of the planet. I already invited my online friends to be there at the opening of my store. I consider them my real friends, too so I want them to be there on that very special day of my life! Shucks, I made it sounds as if Im getting married, eh? ;D Anyway, I'm so excited now but it would be two more weeks (I hope) before they can be finished with the store construction.

Title: Re: The Tale of a Wicked Witch
Post by Wicked_Witch on Oct 5th, 2005, 2:23am
Wow! Things are finally looking good here at home. I mean the store only needs the finishing touches and oh yes..it needs some paints too to make it look more inviting ;D. Im still undecided on the best date to finally open it because i hear a lot of advice from well-meaning friends. Some says I should open it with dates that ends in circles, like 0 or 8---some friends says I should open it on a full moon, all for good luck of course. So right now the date is tentatively on the 20th. Anyone knows when the full moon is? My calendar here at the house dont have moons :P
On "romance" :PI'm also getting confused on what I really want to do with my life. I have this guy I met online, we have been steadily seeing each other for 2 months now. Note I said "seeing", not "dating" :P. This guy is 10 years older, he's witty and charming and a widower. He's a retired Navy officer, has 3 grown up kids who are all married now so he pretty much live all by himself. He spend his days visiting his family to go fishing with his grandchildren or go riding with them. The only thing I dont like in him is that sometimes he tends to be bossy. But we are compatible in a lot of ways. He wants to come here, but he said that when he comes here, he wants to make sure first that I am ready to marry him. Meaning he wants me to make a commitment already. Im confused, because as much as I like him, I'm also thinking of what my life there in the US is going to be. If I marry him and live with him, what will I be doing over there except clean the house, do the laundry, cook his meals? Here I have a housemaid to do those things for me? Even if I can get a job, it's just to pass the time coz I know I wont be earning much working part time? Im not young anymore and I figure I only have maybe more or less 10 years to enjoy marriage. After that, I can only do what old people do, just live life , just exist. :(And why would I bother changing my life as it is now? I am happy with what I have and the best thing is that I am with my kids? My son is all for going with me. (I have discuss this with them.)But my daughter doesn't want to live with a stranger. When I get too old I want to spend my days here in the Philippines. Lee (that's his name) said he will think on it. He said it's hot here in the Philippines. ;DOh well, maybe in time I can have the right decision. Anyway, just want you my friends to know why I'm in the room but sometimes I dont type at all. :P He doesn't like rooms, but I met him at ac1 ;DHe said he only go to rooms to find someone to talk to, then go out. And now that he has met me, he is content to be just at PM. He doesnt know that I am also in the room whenever we PM ;Dsometimes he would ask me what is taking me so long to reply. I always say someone is talking to me here in the house or that I was on the phone or some other convincing reasons ;DWell, sometimes everyone is in the room and we are having a goodtime. Don't want to miss that :P

Of course it's scary, sis...I'm scared too, but not with what will happen to me physically. What scares me are the things I will find out. And yes, they need to put us in a trance to be able to communicate with the spirit of our former existence. When under a trance, it would feel like we are aware of what is happening, but would seem like we are watching from the outside. If they are good, we should be able to see our past lives parade in front of us as if we are watching old movies. And you will also see the reason why in this life you are very particular with someone or something. Wouldn't it be exciting if you find out that you are addicted to movies coz you were a famous actress before? ;) Or the reason you like expensive things is coz you were a queen or rich woman before? ;DCome 'on, where is your sense of adventure? Let's do it, sis :D
By the way, the master carpenter said it will be too soon on the 18th and he can't promise everything will be in readiness by then :(I guess I will have to see if they can make it before the 20th.But thanks for informing me. I will ask Jeff when I see him next ;)

[smiley=icon_thanks.gif]Mymy! You know, I'm not sure if I will get flattered or feel bad that everytime my friends see a witch's pic, I immediately come to their minds!     Tonight is the despedida party for my Japanese houseguest. At last, he's going back to where he came from! ;DHe's a good kid really but sometimes he gets on my nerves when he insists I bring him to some tourist spot around Manila when I have to go somewhere else. He has a tourist map and books and he likes to visit all those places listed there. Too bad I was not able to bring him to Corregidor. I have never been there myself and we specially like it that we are going to go there by ship. The superferry i think offers a tour on the island.
Mymy, maybe you should put my face on that witch's pic? Then I can use it in my profile ;D.It would be funny to have that pic in it. 8)

You know, Cooch...I was at the mall saturday morning and I saw this booth which offers various kind of costumes for the holloween? I saw this witch costume and I was kinda contemplating on buying it and have my picture taken wearing it [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]. But I was with a friend at that time and she asked me what I need that picture for. She doesn't chat so she has no idea of what I was talking about, like a new picture for my profile. She asked why do I need to put an ugly picture in my profile!! I told her lots do it, use funny pictures in their profiles. Because all this time she thought that people go online to find someone. She said I won't be able to find anyone with a witch pic on profile so she insisted that it was a crazy idea! I  told her not all people that comes online are like that. That there are also those who only want to meet people, make friends and enjoy the closeness like we do outside the net. I told her also to just forget the idea of me buying that costume since I was only joking ;DWe were already arguing plenty about it! [smiley=rock.gif] [smiley=firejump.gif]  [smiley=roll.gif][smiley=firejump.gif]
We lost yet another game at the bowling tournament last saturday so that means we will not be playing at the championship ;D, just the individual games. At one time I got lucky and I held the highest ladies' score for 2 weeks, 125 pins in a single game. That was really a miracle!!! Coz' at ranking, of all the 60 ladies playing, I rank # 48 [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]Can you imagine some of those lot older women than I am throwing a strike?? :oThey just pick their balls and slowly approach their assigned alley then slowly let the ball roll...and it was a strike? :o  :oThey dont even look as if they can hold a ball for long period of time! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] Goes to show you cant really judge people by their physical appearance ;) Well...I have only been with the team for 2 years while most of them has been playing for 10 to 20 years already :PIm the joker in our team, so what can I say? :PIm just there to have fun anyway. :PI know...excuses, excuses !![smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]

Lol Beth, you dont wanna know!! But I will tell you anyway ;DIm brewing something to make me look younger and pretty and horny most of the time and stay that way forever. ;D The ingredients? 1 teaspoon of grounded spider legs, 1/4 teaspoon of lizard's pee, a cup of chopped mice's tails, a dozen of man's balls... beaten of course, and a pinch of the ashes of those pictures of men I find interesting. Maybe I can ask for a lock of hair each from kimmy and marieta. ;D

I have not been online for a few days due to my busy schedule. For one thing, my store's construction is really taking a lot of time. Thanks to the carpenters I am paying daily >:(I have a deadline to beat which is supposedly this October 28. But at the rate things are going? It will take two years for them to finish this small store! Sheez... [smiley=silly.gif]And my aunt who is a business wizard adviced me not to open the store between October 21 to November 21 coz it's scorpion's month and its bad for business.I didn't even know there's a scorpion month? :o
And another thing, I have a friend who is here on a vacation minus the husband and the kids. We used to hang around at bars 20 years ago before she married her childhood sweetheart and migrated to the US. They live in Texas, and they have a seafood restaurant there since they live near a port. So you can imagine the fun we're having again just being together with the old "gang". [smiley=crazysmile.gif] [smiley=crazysmile.gif] [smiley=crazysmile.gif] She wants me to try and get a visa and go to Texas. She said there's a man there she would like me to meet. He jogs every morning and never fails to stop by the restaurant to sample her fisn 'n chips dish. She makes a good tartar sauce, yummmy!! [smiley=icon_drink.gif] Shuckz, since I become a widow, my friends have started "shopping" around for a man so I can get married again! And everyone assumes I would want to marry someone from the US!!! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]Even my sister-in-law (imagine that?)wants me to go to Vegas to meet her neighbor!!! And to think her husband is the brother of my late hubby! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]But maybe I will, go to the US, I mean. I have not been there and I dont think I will have a hard time applying for a visa as soon as the store starts operating. Would be nice to meet relatives and old friends again. And who knows? ;)

Wow! X'mas is fast approaching! How fast time flies! I see some house already out with their x'mas decors. This is the first x'mas I will be spending without a call from my late hubby. :(I guess there is always a first time for everything. In the last 3 years there has always been death in my family. My father-in-law, sister-in-law, uncles, then the last, my hubby. :( Even in the neighborhood, seems like there is always a funeral being held every week :-X. I mentioned this coz there is yet another being held at the house right next to mine. Funerals, wether I see it on the road while passing by or its someone I barely know has always been depressing for me. When I go to funerals, I seldom look at the body of the dead person. Im not scared or anything. I just want to remember what that someone looks like when he/she was still alive. Shucks...I'm having morbid thoughts today! [smiley=music-smiley-023.gif]Enough of that, Witchy please!!
The store construction is almost done now. They just need the finishing touches, like paints. Im still undecided though as to when Im going to officially open it. So many things to consider. Im not really a very superstitious person but it never really hurt to listen to some, right? We'll update you all on this. ;)
The reason I have not posted anything here at the forum was that my keyboard went crazy these last two days. When i pressed on the letter "o" or "i", they always come together. Ditto with the letter "k" or "l". And some other keys and characters. I tried typing in the room and at first they thought I was doing it on purpose! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]It looks like I was typing in slang...when they read my texts, it sounds like I was talking the English way like "oi oim not gioing to lkoioilk an oidoit wearoing thois." Alien-sounding even! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]They said my keyboard is prolly dirty with all the dust that has been accumulating in the house since they started the construction. But I have no idea how to clean under those keys so I just bought a new one instead. I'll reserve the old one till I find out how to do it. ;DMeanwhile, I'm going to enjoy typing again [smiley=icon_drink2.gif]

Last satuday we won the game, 4 points against their zeros. We beat them in all the 3 games and high scores, too! My teammates said we should have played that good from the very start of the tournament. ;DWe still wont be playing in the championship coz we have already lost the top 5, we rank # 7 now :(The games we're playing now are for individual scores and the top 10. That's really frustrating coz we used to be in the top 2 or 3...but halfway thru the tournament....we found ourselves slowly going down....down...down! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]Well, they can't blame me. Im just the team's joker :P.
All Soul's Day. Filipinos will be swarming to cemeteries again. It's hard for my family coz we have   lots of dead relatives to visit not to mention my dad and my brother, and grandmother. Trouble is the cemeteries where they were buried are on the opposite sides of Manila. So we would be travelling back and forth. At least none in the province.
Yesterday I went to Pampanga for the baptismal of a cousin's 3-month old daughter. It was a big event coz she is only the second child after 18 years! And the parents are both statically happy since it's a girl this time. They have lose hope of having another baby. ;D It's some sort of a reunion, too! Some of my cousins and relatives I have not seen for a long time took time out to be with us. I am one of the Godmother, of course. There were at least 10 pairs of us! And I really enjoyed lunch coz there were lots of seafoods. There were big lobsters and crabs. I have a cousin who prefers small shrimps. She said she doesn't like to eat the big ones coz with their sizes she sure they eat humans already! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]I came home late and a little tipsy and went to bed right away. So that what's kept me busy this weekend.

Oh definetely cute, chris!! But they are pictures of my niece sabrina [smiley=sla.gif]Tnx :-*
Awwww Beth...I dont put babies under spell, they will have enough to contend on their own as they grow up ;).
I went out with some friends friday night and had a heated arguments with some. I would like to share it with you guys and then maybe you can tell if I'm in the right or wrong here. But first...here's the story:
I have a friend, one of the close ones, who used to be my co-worker back when I still worked at a semi-conductor At FTI compound in Taguig. There was new batch of new operators and technicians. And then there was a couple, bf/gf who came with them. The guy is a tech and the gf is also one of the Q/A inspector but different station. Our workplace is one big area where we see each other while we inspect operators. My friend caught the fancy of this guy and though she knows he's very devoted to the gf...she still tried her very best to seduce him. They got married eventually. They have two kids. Then I lost contact on what is happening in their lives since I left to live in Saudi Arabia. On my second vacation here, I found out my friend was having an affair with another girl and that she was planning to abandon her kids and the husband. She said she got bored with their simple life and the man she's seeing is a businessman with lots of money to spend on her. Not one to judge people, I asked her if this is what she wants to do with her life. Coz once she leaves..there will be no turning back. Over the years the guy has also become close to us coz we saw a lot of him when they first got married and he's ok. Anyway..my friend said she didnt want to end up her life living miserably coz she always had to save something just to even go out and see her friends. (She's an only child and used to always getting what she wants no matter that her parents are not rich.)Anyway, on my next vacation, I found out that she did just that. Left her family to live with the "moneyed" guy. I went to visit the hubby coz I am godmather to their eldest child and I brought something for the child since I have not seen him for 3 years so I owe him a lot for all his b-days and x'mas I was not around. I learned from him what happened. The following years, I found out she took the kids from her ex-husband coz she and the bf can't have children and she reasoned out that she can support them better than he can. A couple of years after that, the real wife of the bf found out about them and threatened to remove the man from the company they own if he keeps on seeing/living with my friend. So the bf left her and the kids and he just sneak time to see her and give her some money. Meantime, the ex-hubby got back together with his ex-gf way back when we were all single still. She has always been a nice girl even back then and Im glad she never thought bad of me seeing as we're friends of the woman who stole her bf. They put up a small business and have two kids of their own now. When my friend the wife learned of their booming business, she demanded that she send some money to support his kids by her which the husband and the gf complied to. Over the years, my friend's bf totally abandoned her and the kids so she now work on her own just to support the kids. And with the financial support from the kids' father they get on farely well. When she learned that the ex and his gf are doing successfully now..she wanted more money from them. But they refused to give her more than providing for the kids' studies and allowances. They said they are willing to spend more for the kids if my friend will just give them up in the care of the father. My friend refused to give in to that knowing the money will stop coming once she release the kids to their care. That's where the argument started. She wants to sue the couple saying she's the legal wife and she has rights to everything. Some of my friends are being bitchy about this. They are urging her to do just that. I told her she should just leave them alone and be happy that he's still doing his obligations to her kids. She accused me of being on the ex' side..sheez..! I don't believe much on what is right or wrong, legal or illegal. I believe more on what is being fair or unfair. She threatened to go to court with it. I told her if she do that, I will tell the court how she abandoned her family just because of her whims!! Now we are not speaking to each other. And I do not want to talk to some of our friends either. What a mess!!

Thank you, Mymy ;DI spent Monday and Tuesday night at the cemetery. One night each for my Dad and my brother. The cemetery is a sight to behold at night. It was like being in a sea of candles. And unlike in the old days, it is no longer a place to grieve, but a place to get the family together and enjoy time. Each family brings something to share with us in terms of foods. That's after offering a mass for the family members who are gone, of course. Now it's like going to the beach. ;DBut instead of water , you see candles everywhere. At least there is no danger of being eaten alive by sharks! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]Shuckz...I missed the beach!!! Can't wait for summer to get here. ;D                                        I noticed that more and more are starting to get active in the forum. That's very, very nice!! This is one cool place where everyone is free to express their thoughts on any topic so all is good. [smiley=icon_dance.gif] [smiley=icon_dance.gif] [smiley=icon_dance.gif]

Hahahaha witchy pooh no sharks on the beach you know that lol!!! There are protective nets securing the beach area...that's the Jaws movie you are talking about lol!!! all fiction!!! lol!

It's a good thing that I haven't experienced going to the cemetery for the all souls and all saints day... but we always lit candles (more like dozens) in front of the house and have some kakanin and nilagang itlog for the souls we pray over for.

Yeah, isn't it nice more are active here now...I don't go much to rooms anymore... not fun without my mahal...besides bots or booters overtake rooms now not so fun ...and I'm too busy planning  ;D

Im supposed to meet cel (aka Bee_Cool) today somewhere in Baclaran but I was so tired from the trips I made yesterday and the whole weekends. :-/Last Saturday is the last group games of our bowling tournament. And after the game, we all went out to some karaoke bars for the celebrations. At least those who enjoys a night out. We went home at 4 a.m. Then I had to wake up early coz we are going to visit my grandparents burried at the Manila Memorial Park in Sucat, Paranaque. All my other relatives went there also and we spent the whole day eating, drinking, playing cards and catching ups on the latest news about everyone. Then from there, we went to visit the funeral wake of yet another uncle. He's been comatosed for some time now and he died November 2, just after halloween. :-/ Again we stayed till 3 a.m. And I ran out of prepaid cards last night so I was not able to text Cel back to tell her I can't make it at Baclaran today. I hope she receive my text in time today though. She's going back to Legazpi tonight and I very much wanted to meet her in person. She said she has met up with Meyie and Piglet yesterday already. If I have known I would have joined them coz I was also at Paranaque yesterday :-/I'm going to spend x'mas with my late hubby's family in Legazpi so I told Cel that I will bring the kids to her house or she can come visit me at my in-law's. She lives very near...just one ride. I'm awake early coz classes has resumed today and I had to wake up my son myself. Dang...I forgot he needs a haircut! I hope the principal will overlook his long hair and not send him home. ;D :(Otherwise, my staying awake when I am dying to go back to bed, just to wake him up will be for naught [smiley=wall.gif]

My friend's daughter is getting married to her japanese boyfriend and I'm to be the sponsor and the reception is for lunchtime. I gotta go and will tell you more when I get the chance ;D

Lol, Cooch...u forgot to say if you need one that works and the works u want done. I have several types of brooms that are for sale around here since Im having a broom-garage sale. Hehehehe!
These last two weeks has been very busy days for me and I do not even remember why I was so busy! I guess it started from visiting different cemeteries and other occassions that coincides with each other this month of November.
I had a dinner date with some of the girls from AC1 last Tuesday (I forgot the date). Roma and Piglet and Chantiq were the only ones who were able to make it but we did have a wonderful time together talking about stuffs that night. I went to meet Chantiq at her place (she offered me a ride) behind a gas station which they owned and I keep asking someone at the office where Chantiq/Tina is and she kept saying they do not have anyone there by that name. I tried calling/texting Chantiq but I can't get thru. I was about to leave when I saw her approaching. Then I found out it's not what she's called in their house. I'll keep the name secret, don't worry amiga!(grinz) Anyway, we were a long way already when she realized she was only wearing slipperz coz she forgot to put on her shoes!!! OMG!! Of all the things to forget!! I never realized till then that it can actually happen to someone!! Imagine that? I mean I can believe it if u forget ur wallet or your celfon...but shoes? We were laughing so hard our sides ached already! Hahahaha! Sheez..! But she didn't wanna be late for our appointment because roma and piglet were already there, so we went on with her wearing just her house slippers!
The other day, Tuesday...I sponsored the wedding of my friend's daughter to her japanese long time boyfriend. They already have a 7-year old talkative chubby little girl. It was a happy occassion. At the reception, when it was time to throw her bride's boquet, my friend (the mother) literally dragged me to the area where all the single ladies including the bride's ladies' maids are gathered together for that fun moment. She got helped from some of our friends and they almost bodily carried me over there! Sheez....it was a very embarassing moment for me because I do not know some of the guests and they were all laughing and clapping their hands while I was being pushed and pulled from all directions courtesy of our friends!!!  And to top it all...when the bride was suppose to throw the boquet while her back is turned from us..she faced us all and literally throw the flowers in my direction.!! and of course instinctively I caught it! Hahahaha! It was embarassing because it looks as if they are advertizing I need a husband!, and me an old woman at that!  Sheez....those goofies!! I told them later that they ruined my poise when they did that to me and to think I was dressed in my finest wedding-sponsored gown!! I think it was the funniest part of the otherwise solemn ceremony. Leave it to a witch to break the moods. Hehehehe!
My store construction is coming along nicely now. They have painted the house in a bright color of beige and white..just the first coating though but everyone who sees it sez it's a nice color. Grand opening will be on Dec. 8. I plan to have a ribbon-cutting and lots of balloons for the occassion and I'm offering a BUY ONE TAKE ONE of my mineral water on that day for good luck. That's per gallon. Wish me luck, my friends!!!

Nyahahahhaha! Spiked water...that would be the end of me, Cooch! Every government agency will be after my ass trying to extract some money!

Yesterday I attended my late Uncle's first death anniversary. A mass was held and since the family has lots of money now, they celebrated it grandly. With catering service and all the trimmings. They did it at their farm somewhere in Antipolo so the place is big. Anyway, after the mass, the catering service started to arrange the chairs and tables for dinner. It was 6 pm, right when daylight is pushing dusk away so as not to settle yet. (such poetic words is out of my witch' context. (grinz). Anyway, they fixed the table and chairs for the diners first so everyone will have a place to sit.  In front of the diners was a long table laden with foodstuffs. It's abuffet style. There were people who are covering the occasion, one who take video shots and one camera man. When everything was ready, the head waiter informed my cousin, the eldest daughter, who was with me at that time, that everything is set and we can start the dinner anytime we are ready. All of a sudden, there was a commotion near the buffet table. Everyone was shouting in earnest. We found out that the legs of the  of the 3 tables holding the foodstuffs gave way and it collapsed, the 3 of them at the same time which the waiters said has not happened before. So people were shouting, I'm not sure if they were worried about the food or something. Hehehehe! Anyway, to everyone's amazement, the tables went down but nothing else happened. I mean no plates or glasses were broken, no foods spilled or whatever!!! To calm everyone's nerve, and to make things light, I went to the mic and said..."Don't worry everyone, Uncle is just happy we remembered him, it's him just trying to  make his presence known to us and you know how he loved a good joke!!" And everyone laughed at that. So after the tables were put to right, everyone started to dine. Later in the evening, a cousin approached me and showed me something in the videop which made my skin crawl!! There on the video shot taken by the cameran men when the tables went down is an image captured by the camera. The image appeared as if it's blanketing the whole table, like a cloud? But the main body of the image appeared to be catching the table as it falls??? Dang...my cousin was looking at me as if I have grown a horn in my head! Hahahaha! I told her I didn't know. That what I said on the mic is just a joke. My cousins asked me if I have felt my Uncle's presence with us. I said, "heck no! Uncle knows I'm scared of ghosts so he will not dare show himself to me." That what I said on the mic was just the first thing that comes to mind coz I noticed that everyone was speechless when they saw what happened to the table and I just want to break the tension. They wouldn't believe me and said I just don't want to scare them. Well..believe it or not, I didn't see anything, that's for you too, readers. Ok, maybe my subconscious mind, but that's all. No sightings, no feelings, ok? Anyway, it was a happy occassion, we stayed long into the night drinking, eating, singing, playing cards and mahjong.(grinz). That's why i woke up very late this morning. Hehehehe!

Wow, I can't believe I have so much time in my hands these days! My bowling tournament ended up last Saturday. Actually the tournament is still going on but they are just the championship games. Since our team were not able to make it to the top, we're having a rest now. Hehehehe! It will resume January next year for a new season.
We are done decorating the house and the x'mas tree. I have a gold theme this year. Last year it was silver. It gets me excited everytime I see x'mas decors anywhere. Reminds me the occassion is just around the corner. I hope I will be able to attend the 9 days midnight mass. Shuckz, I hate waking up too early in the morning. It's cold!!! If i wake up in time for the mass, the church would be full to overflowing already. Then I won't be able to get near the altar. If I stay at the back it will surely get me sleepy!! Maybe I will wake up earlier and spend more minutes sleeping inside the church. Hehehehe! Our parish priest is a good comedian so the mass is really very entertaining. But damn if he doesn't strech up to two hours telling jokes before ending the mass!! Anyway, more occassions are coming up before x'mas like the opening of my water station, and oh yes, Justine's birthday, too! Maybe we can coincide the AC1 x'mas party on her b-day? I'll see what they will say to this. See yah'z!!

The kids dragged me to the mall last yesterday to watch Harry Potter. When we get there the theaters showing it are in full house. Besides, we got there too early for the showing so we decided to have dinner first since the next showing won't start in an hour. We were arguing where to eat coz they both wanted to eat at a different restaurant. My daughter wanted Japanese foods or pizza. My son and his gf wants to have some burgers. So to settle, I suggest that we just eat at Shakey's since they serve they also serve  rice, chicken and pasta. We finished eating right on time. When we got to the theater they are just showing previews. Lots of them [smiley=silly.gif] Harry Potter has grown older now and I'm not sure if he looks better. But the girl sure did grow into a beautiful young woman. I like her face. Anyway, I think the Harry Potter series has outgrown the adventures already. People already know what to expect. Same magic, just different styles. There is one movie preview that I watched that really got me interested. It's NANDRIA. It's also a fantasy-adventure type of movie. Mixing people and animals as leading actors. I like movies that have some animation with them. Like Jumanji, Mars Attack..etc..they are cool. ! I  hope I can watch it when it gets to the theaters. There's one movie i still want to see, the title is The Myth, which stars Jackie Chan. Im a big fan of him ;D. Today I'm going out to buy more decors for my x'mas tree. Im changing my motiff this year. Last year it was all gold. This year it's going to be all silver. ;DI'm running late now so I will write more next time. See ya'z!!!

Don't get so excited, Earthy! You sounds like a kid I promised to bring to the Carnival! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]It's not as if it's the biggest event of the year!! Hahahaha! Anyway, the water station is right at my house. And I have already texted you the address and how to get there, ok? If you have not received it, let me know, ok?
We are not fully operational yet but we have started selling on a BUY-ONE-TAKE-ONE basis as a community service. And it will continue until the opening day which is on December 8. After that, it's regular price already.  Everyday a lot of people come to buy or get a refill! It's what's keeping me away from going online sometimes. I have only employed 4 people at the moment. A driver, two helpers in delivering water, and one who mans the store everyday. The first 3 deliver water using the L-300. So when some people in the neighborhood calls to order, I send the boy at the store to deliver the water using a ticycle.  And sometimes, when he's still out some people would come to buy a refill and I'm forced to stand-in. I didn't realize how time consuming the job is till I got a first-hand experience! [smiley=roll.gif] First, you wash the bottles (the sizes varies, btw-from small bottles to 5 galloons capacities), then fill them with purified water then seal them using a gun that looks like a hair dryer! [smiley=roll.gif] Since most of the first- time costumers have ordered water from somewhere else before, I have to change their  bottle's sticker to one of mine. I do this job till my boy comes back. Then I go online. [smiley=roll.gif]But I really enjoy manning the store. It's cool!!
;D

Awww, Earthy! And I'm so looking forward to having you along with the other girls on that day! Wahhhh!!! [smiley=bigcry.gif]I guess we will just have to enjoy the day without you. :PDon't worry, we will keep on inviting you. ;D
This weekend is going to be lousy one for me. :-[A friend of mine died the other night. His body will be cremated this sunday. He has been undergoing dialysis 3 times a week when he was still alive. Last I seen him was at the birthday party of a common friend, last Sunday. We were seated at the same table and he remarked that he doesn't think he will live longer. I scolded him for saying aloud such morbid thoughts. He said he can feel it already. He gets weaker everyday that's why he seldoms go out anymore. He can't go anywhere without someone's aid. He was also diabetic. He's gay but he's also a very decent man and a lawyer. He lived alone coz all his family are in the US. They will all be flying back home tonight for the funeral. He was very fond of my son. At the party, he jokingly told my son to pack his bags to go live with him. That he will be the one to send him to school and make him his heir. To which my son just smiled. In his house, aside from his own bedroom, he has a room that looks like a hospital room complete with oxygen and dialytic machines. He lives with a sister who is a doctor. I guess his last attack has been severe coz they had to bring him to the hospital's ICU. Next thing we heard. He's gone. :'( He's only 42 years old.I hate it when someone dies!! Especially if he's someone close to me. It never fails to remind me that life is too short. Or that I won't be seeing that person anymore. But he will be happier where he is now. No more attacks, no more treatment, no more sufferings. Goodbye, Carlo. Our prayers are with you and wherever you are, please know that we will always remember you. I'm going to miss you, my dear friend. Thanks for the time you spent with us. Thanks for making us a part of your life.

When someone we love dies,we struggle with a wide range of emotions. If a young person dies, we ask "why?" When death comes after long-term suffering,we struggle to understand why the Lord waited so long to bring relief. We begin to think God as distant, untouched by our sorrow. We may question His wisdom,or His goodness.

I personally, can't either answer these, but if we put our faith on the Lord and trust Him that whatever the reason why someone we love needs to be saparated (through death) from us, we will not feel hatred (as you stated) . However, we all understand the feeling of sorrows and depression.

Witchy
Sis, I am so sorry to hear the death of your friend. CONDOLENCE.
Let us just put our thoughts that it's God's decision, and that we know that Carlos is now in heaven, and finaly has ended any suffering that he has been struggling here on earth.

Just my thought.  ;D

:'( witchy my dear, l'm so sorry to hear about carlos... my deep condolence...
well, God know the best for him, our brain not capable enough to know exactly God's plan... but l know what God's planned is the best for us.
Sometimes we try and try to understand God's plans but He is so unpredictable, even so... He know the Best! [smiley=love.gif]

Thank you so much, Beth and Krizzy. That is what we have been telling his family also. That it is for the good. Now he doesn't have to feel bad about himself anymore. Or suffer more pains and humiliations because of his deformity. His  body has been cremated yesterday so I'm sure he's happier where he is now.
On the happy side, It was a surprise to know that one of the finalist at the Search For a Star in A Million is the son of a former tenant of my house when I was still living in Saudi Arabia. I met the mother again at a funeral of a common friend. (yes, I have attended more funerals this year than I would have liked to.) We were good friends before. As a matter of fact I have attended a ball dance at their hometown in Lipa,  Batangas City some years back and has danced the cha-cha with Senator Ralph Recto. Don't get excited, folks. He did not chose me on purpose. Hehehehe! He was just being polite since I'm a guest. As a matter of fact, I think he danced with all the ladies that night. Vilma Santos was there but did not stay long because she was heavy with child at that time. That night at the funeral, we talked about the old times and she invited me again to attend the annual town festival. But I don't think it's going to happen again. Anyway, she asked me to help vote for her son. Since then we have been watching the show regularly. His name is Lance. Last night was the final elimination round and I was so nervous coz of the 6...4 has been chosen already as winners and Lance and the other guy was the only two left. One of them would be eliminated. We were all quiet at the house while the judges were announcing the winner. And we all jumped with joy when Lance has been chosen as the last finalist! [smiley=icon_dance.gif]He's really very good and good looking too! I remember seeing him the first time. He was just a skinny lad. Now he's already a grown up and becoming a celebrity in his own way. Although we are not really hoping he will make it to the grand night, we still can't help but wish he will win. But he stands a very slim chance. The other 4 finalists are a lot better than him. That is why he was chosen last at the final elimination. But who knows? Miracles do happen, right? We will just keep on voting for him and hope he will gets better in his craft as the final day approaches.

Wow! It seems like ages since I last check the forum! I wonder what has been happening to the competition for the Hottest AC1 Male and Female now? And to the Love Game thread? I like that one. ;DThough it makes me crazy sometimes wondering what a character would write next! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] I'll check it later after I'm done here. ;)
The inauguration of my water station was a big success. [smiley=clap.gif] [smiley=clap.gif] [smiley=clap.gif]. Congressman Bingbong Crisologo did the honor of cutting the ribbon. So many people came to be with me on the occassion. Of course the others came to partake free dinner! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]The store looks so pretty all dressed up in ribbons and ballons. ;D I have different sets of friends not to mention my big family so I have lots of guests. Some brought me gifts for good luck, mostly chinese figurines. A dear old lady brought me a bag of coins which we threw inside the store for good luck right after the priest has finished blessing the store. The guests went down on their knees trying to gather as many coins as they can while their right hand is still holding the candle! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] They say these coins bring good luck to people who has them. It was funny watching them. Some got hit in the head by the coins, some even went under the table/machines to get the coins! [smiley=roll.gif]There were lots of foods and drinks also. Because my house is very small, I have to put up tents and tables outside occupying half of the road, allowing just the use of single lanes for cars that passes by. ;DWe also made a lot of sales that day. I kept the first sale of the day inside a red envelope for good luck. We filipinos are a superstitious lot. ;D
Of all my chatfriends, only Meyie was able to make it. Some have previous appointments and some couldn't make it due to the heavy rain. People said it's a good luck for me that it rained. ;DOh well...there will be a next time, I'm sure. The store is officially open now. [smiley=clap.gif] [smiley=clap.gif] [smiley=clap.gif]Wish me luck, my friends. :-*Got more stories to tell coz my social life has been very busy these last few days. But will tell them later coz i will have to check the other threads.
;D

I'm sure we will, sistah. ;DAnd thank you too, Davie my favorite ex and earthy, the neighbor I have not seen. ;DThanks for the frog, but when we see each other, give me a goodluck frog like that one, ok? :-*
Since the inauguration of my water station I have stayed up very late all night from thursday until saturday evening and half of sunday night :PThursday, I stayed up until 4 am coz my bowling team arrived at about 11 p.m. and they texted me not to get drunk till they get to my place no matter how late it is! [smiley=roll.gif]They are members of another bowling club and they have a game that night so they couldn't make it earlier than 11 pm. So I just started to drink when they got here and it was pretty late already! And then Friday night, I attended the debut party of a friend's daughter. I was included in the 18 symbolic gifts. ;DI gave her a very expensive candle for her collections and said in my speech that I hope the candle will light the way to her future achievements. Actually, they all live in Alaska and has not been home for a long time. At least the children. They do not even speak or understand tagalog. The mother just decided to celebrate the daughter's birthday here in the Philippines to give her an experience of having a party here. The debutante will be joining the Airforce when they get back to the US in January. And I heard she will be staying with the airforce for 4 years till she graduates. But I don't think she enjoyed the nights coz most of the guests are friends of her mom and naturally they are older. ;DAnd  also because she doesn't know most of the guests except her cousins...which are also strangers to her since they have not seen each other for 12 years? :oOnly the mother comes for a visit every now and then. The poor kids seldom smiles the whole night unless somebody politely tried to engage her in a conversation. And instead of disco....we had ballroom dancing coz all the ladies brought in their own DI (Dance Instructor). Sheez....the poor girl looked miserable most of the time!! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] So I asked the DJ to play some disco songs and I asked my son to dance with the celebrant. That made her smile. Why not? My son is a very goodlooking young man. ;) I had a boring time that night also coz we got there a little late and had the misfortune to sit at a table full of flirty, boring old men! ::) Of course I look very pretty that night. :P And these men flirted with me the whole time we were there. The one sitting next to me has a very bad breath, it smells like a skunk!! So I seldom turn to him and sometimes pretend I do not hear what he was saying. I dance with him once, and it was to a sweet music and he was talking to me the whole time while we're dancing. So when I can't take it anymore I told him I'm tired already though it was the first dance I made that night! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] Of course I never dance with him again after that. :PAnd he's very talkative, too! He tried to get everyone's attention by cracking jokes and saying things that are downright boring! Sheez...what a waste of night!! [smiley=rock.gif]

Lol Bethzki ;D. Ok...it was Justine's bday blow out and she invited a lot. But I guess everyone else is busy. Anyway, we met up at a thai or Indian resto? I can't identify coz the diners vary from whites to indians? to filipinos. We ordered foods that are spicy, at least for me. Then we tried catching up on what is happening inside the room. Btw..there were just Chelle and Piglet and Francine and Justine and me, of course. We talked a lot about the people in the room and our experiences with them. About online relationships and who are dating who? ;D while dining. I especially love their fried rice and the beef with sprouts. Yummy!! It was a no-smoking resto and since the four of us smokes...we went to the nearby cafe. Which looks more like a park to me than a cafe! ;DIt was at the Greenbelt area in Makati, a classy district here in Metro Manila. There, they ordered coffee while I had ice cream. Am not a coffee person. :P Then we did lots of picture-takings. There are lots of people walking and sitting around drinking coffee. They must have thought us tourists the way we took pictures of each other!! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]Francine gave us all something as souvenirs. WE enjoyed that night but had to cut it short since chelle have not had enough sleep that day. Just the day before she went driving out of town to bring her family to the beach. And I can believe how busy she has been earlier that day coz she never had time to bring her car to the carwash. It was so dusty! So it was really nice and thoughtful of her to still take time to be with us. My place is right on her way home so I had to leave with her. We talked about the x'mas party and we decided to hold it after x'mas instead since everyone would be very busy shopping and all that before x'mastime. It will be held at Francine's place either on the 28 or 28th of December. We are inviting everyone to come and join us. ;D It will be a family day, of course. There will be games and prizes for the kids and for the adults as well.

Wow! I can't believe it has been almost 3 weeks since I last visited my own blog!! Sheez...now I have forgotten all the funny things that happened to me since then!! But first I want to thank you lovely ladies for wishing me the best of the coming new year.  And of course, the ever present ex of my life, Davie! Mwahhh! It really feels great to know I got some real friends here and it's not just an "online" thing. I wish I could meet you all in person though! I bet it would be a blast, eh? [smiley=icon_dance.gif] Since it is already pointless to talk about those things I have forgotten, let me just tell you how my days are.
The store is doing very well considering it has just been a month since I officially opened it. And everyday my costumer increases. And too since I can only hire few helpers, sometimes I have to "chip" in at the store when they are out delivering gallons of water. Sometimes I am able to go online but the forum take so much of my time I can hardly go to the room anymore. And sometimes, it seems I have just seated myself in front of the computer before someone would ring the doorbell at the store or I will get phonecalls asking for deliveries! I'm busy, yes..but I'm happy too! ;DI remember when I first started this business. When it was already taking so much money, it made me nervous coz I have invested everything here. I guess patience, hard work and prayers are the keys to every success. Who knows? Maybe by next year I will already be a rich woman? Then I can already buy me a wonderful man!! [smiley=roll.gif]
Btw, now that I have more time in my hands, I'm planning to try my hands again at writing short stories. It's my first love/hobby. I did sell a book years ago but it was written in tagalog. And I stopped because I have to rewrite it a couple of times. The publisher said the plot is nice but that the type of conversation is not suitable for the pinoy readers. So I had to revise it a couple of times until they get satisfied. Heck! I think they just said it's ok so I will stop coming back and asking them if the script is already ok or need to be revised some more! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]But it's really hard to type in tagalog. Because in the old days we have to use some words that are just understandable to those from the province. At least now there are stories written in "tag-lish" already and the market seems to be accepting it. But I do not want to try and make money out of writing anymore. It is just a hobby for me anyway. So let me try it here ;D. At least with you as my critics, I will have a review right away. I will post it under the literary section. Please bear with me, ok? Thanks for dropping by.

Title: Re: The Tale of a Wicked Witch
Post by earthlingorgeous on Jan 9th, 2006, 12:50pm
I agree with you witchy its harder to write in pure Filipino (Tagalog) than to write in English.
I was trained in Filipino writing at first and it was very hard.
Although I wasn't trained the old ways with typewritters lol!
That's something to wait for withcy  ;D

Title: Re: The Tale of a Wicked Witch
Post by Wicked_Witch on Jan 10th, 2006, 4:38am
Thanks, earthy..I'm sure you would be one of my critics ;DIt's going to be a love story coz it's what I love to write about. It will be a tribute to a good friend of mine who died just recently. He always encouraged me to write again. So I'm gonna write a story with him in mind. It's not actually about his life but I'm going to make him a part of it:-*I just can't decide yet as to under what category can I put it in? Any suggestion? We don't have literary, do we?

Awww, a book! Woohooo. I would love to read that, too, Witchy. Good luck. Yes, English mo na lang. Masyado pang mabagal pagbasa (ko) sa Tagalog. Although, I like to hear a Filipino talking in straight Tagalog.  ;D

Extra mo rin ako, kahit contrabida na. Hahaha. Sabagay, lagi naman. Haha.  ;D

Title: Re: The Tale of a Wicked Witch

Hey, that's a good idea!! Instead of inventing names, I'll just use your names! ;DBut pls don't fight over billings, eh? In every story there is a bida and a kontrabida and I cannot make a bida of all of you at the same time :P. Thanks for the idea, Krissy ;D. I'll start it next week, ok? I'm still gathering some materials so I can write it regularly everyday. At least so that I can supply an episode everyday  even when I get busy. Sistah, standby pls. Yeah, I'll get in touch with Francine next week. Sunday is our Patron Saint Feast (Sto. Nino, and I have invited you all, btw) and we're busy here.

Ok...I have started writing the short story...it's under Fine Arts. You are all welcome to ask questions or make comments or whatever you want to say about it. Just don't ask what will happen in the next sequence, ok? ;D The title I gave to it is Starlight.....Starbright....

Title: Re: The Tale of a Wicked Witch

Witchy,
I have read it. I will be checking on that. But we prefer not to mess it with comments and reactions, so, I think we better say it here.  Or is it OK to just write right there?  ;D

Keep it going !  ;)

Title: Re: The Tale of a Wicked Witch
Post by Wicked_Witch on Jan 13th, 2006, 2:59am
I will not mind if you want to write there so you can ask questions or make comments about a particular page or chapter or section. Or if you want, you can qoute it here. Or maybe we can create another topic for your questions, comments, and suggestions if you  want the pages to remain "clean"? Afterall the teachers  said do not write anything in the book? Hehehehe! Whatever makes you happy ;D. But i will continue to write the story everyday, ok? ;)And you will have to excuse my grammar and spelling sometimes also because when I write I just write whatever words comes to mind and when I am so engross i keep forgetting to check them. Because it is not a story that I have written the script first and edit later. What I am doing here is I have the idea or the plot in my head already. Of what the story is going to be. On what is supposed to happen in every episode. So I just write them like I was telling the story to friends. But as much as I want to write a longer piece each day, I'm not going to do it so as not to bore anyone from reading a very long scripture.                                                      And later when this one is finished, anyone can give me a plot and I will make a story out of it. Just give me the situation and the settings.

I was so busy last weekend with all the preparations for our Sto. Nino Feast day. Other parts of the Philippines are celebrating the same occassion, depending on who their patron saint is. In Leyte, it was in the news that a lot of people died at the fluvial parade they were having when the huge boat carrying the image of Sto Nino turned upside down drowning lots, children and adults. It was probably overloaded with spectators.
Anyway, our celebration was a big success. The night before the actual day, we held singing and dance contests. There was a parade the next day around our streets where lots of people joined carrying their image of the sto nino. It was for good luck they say. I was so busy so I let a niece carry it throughout the parade for me. On the actual day, there was a mass held at the church and afterwards, we organized parlor games for both the children and the adults. We had lots of fun because guests from everyone's house participated in the games to the delight of everyone. They are all good sports, never caring if the clothes they were wearing got dirty or something. There were beer-drinking contest, trip to jerusalem, sinking boat, paluan ng palayok, statue dance, egg and coin contest, etc. I specially have fun laughing at the contest for adults. There were 10 guys lining up in a circle their back to each other. They were holding an eggplant between their thighs, near the crotch. The idea of the game is when the music stops, everyone of the 11 women should be holding an eggplant from any of the men in position. The women outnumbered the men so there will always be someone who will get eliminated. The audience were all laughing coz everytime the music stops, the women scrambled to find and hold an eggplant. And in the process, sometimes they can't help but grab "something else" in their haste instead of the eggplant! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]
The hightlight of the occassion was the Miss Gay Competition which draws crowd from all over the gay community. It's really amazing how they come to register looking like the usual gays. But in the evening, you can hardly recognize them! Some have face and breasts and bodies I would give my right arm for to possess! And those fabulous gowns....oh my!!! And what's amazing still (they uses names of famous actresses)...was that they are a real look-alike of the one they are immitating? :o I swear they do not look anything like that before they put on their make ups! We have the swimswear competition portion, the Casual Wear, the Talent portion and the Evening Gown competition. And of course for the finalists there was the Question and Answer portion too! ;DAll in all it was a big hit. And I hope it will be more exciting next year, bigger sponsors and bigger prizes. ;D

This game is played by hanging clay pots. Inside, there are candies and coins and for laughs we added lots of flours. The contestants will all line up in a single line 20 steps away from the pot. The first in line will be blindfolded and he/she would be given a piece of wood to hit the pot with. Then after turning around some, he will then starts walking towards the pot with the audience guiding his steps. Some shouting "to the left!! To the right!! Go straight...some more......ok..hit it! hit it!!" Lol..they seldom hits the target coz of so many directions from the audience! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]And we added the flour coz everytime someone hits the pot and it got broken, people swarm to grab some coins and candies that falls from the pots. So they all take a bath in flours when they do! Hahahaha!

Believe me, Joel, when you see them you won't even know they are gays. :PI lost the shots I took with my digital cam. But I have a neighbor who took some pictures also. Trouble is we don't see each other these days. It seems one of us is not around when the other is. But don't worry, I am going to post the pics as soon as I get hold of her, ok?

Last night my kids and I attended the debut party of the daughter of my cousin which was held at a Jade Valley function room located at Scout Turalla St. corner Timog Avenue. My daughter was a participant at the cotillon dance and also the 18 candles while my son was among the boys in the 18 candles and I was included in the 18 symbolic gifts. It was a grand affair and it was nice to see the young people dancing from the remix of cha-cha, rumba, tango, swing and reggae while their parents looked on with smile on their faces. Some are laughing so hard coz some of them were so stiff and dancing akwardly. I thought they would rather dance the hiphop! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] All of them were wearing identical clothes courtesy of the debutante's parents. And so when the dance ended, some of them has to hurry to change into their own formal gown to get ready for the presentation of the 18 candles, including my daughter. ;D There were also lots of intermission numbers from cousins and friends. Halfway thru the night, a popular cousin of the celebrant arrived and obliged the audience by singing some. His name is Lance Onate, one of the Top 5 finalist in the recently concluded Star In A Million Quest, a popular singing contest here in the Philippines for young people. He is known among the family and is well liked by everyone. There were lots of autograph-signing and picture taking. Of course I took some pictures also of the two of us and some together with my sisters and the debutante ;D. His mother is a good friend of mine. I think I have mentioned about him in my blog a couple of weeks ago. After the program, there was some dancing and drinking, of course. :P It was 12 midnight when we leave the place and outside we were greeted by lots of firecrackers! :oI thought the people around were so excited to see me till I realized it was the Chinese New Year! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]Sheez...! I saw that there are lots of Chinese restaurant around so it explained the firecrackers. :PI will be posting some of the pics later. ;)
I took a leave from my bowling tournament last night also because the party was a special occassion in my family. I hope they did well without me! Nyahahahhaa! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] That's from the team's joker. :PHey, sometimes I get lucky and I hit lots of spares and strikes! :P But my team this season is kinda boring. Just my luck to be included in a team with boring members. ::) There were 6 members in each team and my team members are all boring old men! ::) My previous teams are all good. I mean at least they are fun to be with, we all like to sing and drink in between turns at the alley. :P And this time I happen to be the only female in my team. The only rose in the graveyard! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] One of them hardly smile at all, one mostly keep to himself, one thinks he's the best bowler in our time and likes to patronize everyone, one is always being followed by the wife wherever he goes, and one is too old for my liking I don't think I can sit down for long period of time exchanging niceties. Dratt! I hope I will get lucky in the second conference this July! [smiley=silly.gif]

I do not understand the need to be sarcastic. I admire all things that are beautiful.

I had lunch with april (situpcrunches) and Dox (devilindesguise) yesterday and the three of us had fun talking. That was the first time I met both of them. April picked me up at my house and we met Dox some place. They are both coming to the get-together scheduled for this saturday feb. 11. And I am sure we will have more fun all together. Too bad Roma is in Dubai now. We will surely miss her presence.
My water station is doing great everyday. I have lots of dealers now but I still continue to spend money buying gallons and water dispenser. I asked my manager if there is no-end to this "buying". I told him I don't seem to get back even a little of the money I keep investing. And he gave me a plausible explanation which I am hanging on to. He said that when we have lots of buyers already, the next time we can already make a demand to new customers to make a deposit. Because right now we just lend them gallons and dispensers. Oh well....I guess he knows what he's talking about. Shuckz, the money that comes in everyday is not even a break even. I look at the book and I see lots of sales...then I look at the expenses and I can only shake my head.

Here it is, Grace. Hehehehe! We finally had that get-together last night. ;D And we really had a wonderful time together. The ladies present were Justine, Meyie, Piglet, Francine and me of course, April, Earth, Dox, and a new comer by the name of irish_rouge. Then there was two male chatters from another room, philippine chat room I think. I think I have seen irish a couple of times in the room before. She and Dox were practically neighbors and they didn't even know about it until a couple of weeks ago! I met Earth for the first time and she looked to me like a kid just out from high school. Hehehehe! She looked exactly as she does in her pic,  but petite in person. Irish is cute, too. :D Then there was the suprise appearance of JC_pennis! I was late going there coz I came from my saturday bowling game and I was with a friend chatter. JC was the one who opened the gate and he said he was wondering why the one who answered him when he asked who was at the other side of the door sounded male but it said it was "witchy". ;D That's because after i rang the doorbell, I saw my shoelace was untied so i bent down to tie it. And my friend was the one who replied. Later, JC told everyone that he wondered about the voice coz he got the impression that the ID "witchy" in the room belongs to a woman! That goof! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]When he finally opened the gate, he was there grinning stupidly from ear to ear! After he told me he's JC, I started punching and hugging him and punched him and hugged him again in my excitement to finally meet him! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]I didn't know he was going to be there. The four of them came in Justine's car (Justine, Meyie, JC and piglet) and sistah did not mention him when I asked her who were with her. That's why I was surprise and delighted when I saw him. ;D We had fun exchanging jokes and April took most of the table with her wit and funny stories. Dox and earthy and irish just looked on listening and laughing. I was jumping with joy when I first saw them. I was really very happy last night. [smiley=silly.gif] We all had fun getting acquainted with each other. When we ran out of drinks and saw that all those who do not drink are feeling sleepy, that's when we all decided to call it a night. Our next project will be a summer outing where everyone can bring their kids. It's going to be an overnight outing at one of the private pools with hot springs in laguna.

Ay sistah, I like them very much. Especially the colorful blouse! I can't wait for summer to get here so I can wear it with my tight jeans! ;DAnd I am sorry I was not able to text you. I was hoping I could talk to you on the phone one of these days if you're not busy? We have to "catch" up on things. Hehehe! Hey, I think I'm going to wear it this sunday to my birthday party. I hope it's going to be a hot day! You are coming, right? Dorie want's to come but she said she can't stay late since it's sunday and she has to go to work the next day. I suggested she comes early in the morning so she can stay long and I can serve her coffee? [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] Actually it's to start at 4 PM, but if you want guys to come early I guess I can serve you lunch then we can use the karaoke first before the first of my guests gets here? Just the 5 of us, and do invite JC again, aliw na aliw ako sa kanya! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]But nothing fancy for lunch, ha? Kasi pulutan lang talaga saka alak ang handa ko sana eh! ;D But I will cook something for you, guys...if you decide to come early. Let me know, ok?
And you know it's impossible for me to get there early. Besides, I thought we are going to spend the whole night together kasi so I was not worried about getting there a little late. Sana nga we had coffee somewhere else on the way home. Coz sa totoo lang, I was hungry when we left! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]

Hahaha sistah, Dorie and I got shawarma on our way home.  She was so hungry, she said she could have gotten 2 for herself lol.  Meyie is not used to staying up that late anymore, and you know she doesn't eat these days so she feels kinda weak. I wanted us to have some coffee and a few more chit chats....well there will be more times for us.  Don't bother serving us lunch na lang, dyahe naman, and it's your day noh.  But I think we can get there before dinner.  Sige, I'll text JC and ask him to join us so I wouldn't have to drive again haha! I can't stay that late too ha kasi boss is coming on Monday (again, hayyy).  But I wouldn't miss your day, don't worry.  Nice naman you liked the stuff, ganon din kasi mga damit ko diba nyahahahah! What do you want for your birthday?

Shuckz, I keep forgetting my blog here! :P
I celebrated my __th bday last Sunday. It was so far the grandest bday party I ever had in all the years I was celebrating it. Probably because I have more friends now than before? But I know it's more because of the company of friends I had last Sunday. ;)My thanks to Piglet and Justine who gave me the black blouse I was wearing that night ;D, and to Chantiq of course who inspite of her laziness in attending gatherings really took the time out to share this very special day for me. She was even the first one to arrive among the 3 of them. Meyie was not able to make it coz she has a previous appointment to meet with her college friends and Francine has to attend a cousin's baptismal party.
My party started at 4 PM. I think there were more to drink that eat. Hehehehe! We really had a great time. All my sisters and brothers and my Mom and nephews and nieces were there. Close friends from my bowling club, and from the neighborhood. I have a sister who is a very good singer and I also have a team mate who is also a very good singer and dancer and there were lots of karaoke singing as well as dancing and non-stop drinking. ;D It's amazing that I did not have a hangover when I woke up the next day. I have posted some pictures at the forum also. ;)My sistah Justine gave me the black blouse I was wearing that night, complete with a pair of earrings and matching bracelet. Dang, I looked pretty that night, don't I? Hehehehe!
My business also is doing very well. I gross from P2,500.00 to P3,000.00 a day now! And to think that I have only been in this for mor e than two months! Now I know I made the right choice in investing in a water purifying station. Thanks for the support of friends who has given me lots of goodluck charms like Chantiq and Earthy and the others. I even got a money-maker fortune plant for my bday. Hehehe! Thank you all.

Good to know about your business.  I wish you more success in that.  Wonderful family, awesome kids, great friends....you're truly blessed, sistah!

Lol, pards. I did not spill any beans, did I? ;D

I have a busy weekend this week starting last Thursday night when I attended a cousin's bday party. We stayed the whole night drinking (as usual), and then I attended another one last Friday since last time that lasted well into the night. It seems I have been partying all the time this month of February. Hehehehe. At 11 am today I am godmother to yet another baptismal, my 23rd excluding nephews and nieces. Dratt...no wonder I'm always broke after xmas! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]But that's ok. I love wrapping gifts for kids. And I like sharing my blessings. It always make people feel like they owe you something. Hehehehe! Nahhhh....I really love to share and make people around me happy also.
Last night we won at the game at my saturday bowling tournament. Isn't that grand after losing last saturday? Last saturday was the first time we lost the game so it's kinda frustrating for us because we were hoping to make it to the Top 3. :P And at the first game last night we lost heavily....again! Imagine them having 84 pins over us! They had strikes and spares after each other. My face must have been showing defeat. All the members of my team (6 in each team) were having badluck, btw. Because at one point they made me drink beer so I can relax. They said my nervous system was wound up too tight! ;D Well...everytime we lost I always feel that it's my fault because my team players are all good and I'm just a joker. And then a miracle happened. It was our turn to strike bowling pins one after the other.  ;DSo that on the third game it was really a close fight and we were able to win the overall. Opps....i have to go take a bath now and get ready for the baptismal. Thanks for dropping by my blog. See you all later.

Dratt...last saturday evening while watching the TV coverage of the group at the Fort...I was thinking to myself is this "it"?  Will they finally oust GMA? We were all holding our breath because this was a similar incident during the EDSA revolution a long time ago. When Marcos gave the order to run over all the people who will stand in the way of the tanks. Good thing GMA has her men in control. They refuse to let Cory inside the Fort.
Incidentally, rallies are good for my business, too. ;DI got a two-thousand 500 ml. bottles of water order to be delivered at the police station in Kamuning Monday morning to be used by the police anti-riot squad standing-by high "wired" areas. It was a rush order so everyone in my household , including my two kids who i roused from sleep amidst much grumbling, chipped in so we can deliver it on time which was at 10 am yesterday morning. One was washing the bottles, one was filling them with water, one was putting the caps on it, one was sticking our company logos in the plastic bottles, one was "heatgunning" those stickers, one was busy making boxes to put them in, and one was arranging them inside the boxes, one was loading them at the delivery truck. We were not able to get them ready the night before because we do not have enough bottles to fill the order.  We need to buy more bottles but it was a sunday so the factory where we used to buy them from is closed. We had to wait until monday morning to buy them. We buy those bottles at 3 pesos each and we were able to sell them for 8 pesos each. The stores are selling them for 12 pesos, btw. It's not really hard work but it's time-consuming and we were under pressure. We were able to deliver it an hour late though. After the delivery, I gave everyone a bonus for working so hard. ;D. One of the cops at the police station told my helpers that they should pray they keep the rally forever so they will need more water. ;D.

Oh wow! It's weekend again. It's Friday and starting tonight I will have a social life again! :-* I'm always free on weekends coz my sister will take over managing the store for me. I can play mahjong this afternoon and play bowling tomorrow night then see my buddies. Hehehehe! Funny...no baptismal or weddings this weekend. That's a first in 6 weeks. Hehehehe!

Btw...the other day, Wednesday, I got some orders again for a 1,000 pieces of 500 ml bottles of water to be delivered the next morning at 9 am. And I thought this is great! I have plenty of time to buy bottles and boxes and stickers and order more logos. So we will not be working under pressure. So I sent my helpers to buy everything we need. The first hint of trouble came when they called and said they can't find any boxes in any supermarket. At least the sizes that we need. So I told them to do their best and find something somewhere. Then the helpers I sent to buy the bottles in Malabon got stuck in the traffic and they texted the store might be close already when they get there. I prayed it would not be so. Anyway, after worrying a lot, they were all able to do what I sent them out for. Though late in coming home, it was dinnertime already. So I told them to go have dinner first before we start working. I told myself...nothing can go wrong anymore because we have everything we need, right? WRONG! Just when we were about to start the time-consuming work of washing the bottles, filling them with water, sticking labels and stickers, heating-gun those labels, and making make-shift boxes to put them in, guess what disaster fall on us? THE POWER WENT OUT! Sheez....! I called Meralco and I was told that a power post exploded somewhere near my area and it will take them at least 6 hours to fix the damage. What else can I do but send the boys home? So the next morning, we all worked under pressure again because we only have 3 hours before the deadline. Normally it will take 4 to 5 hours to finish. I must be some really lucky woman with all the hitch i have to go thru that day!
::)But we were able to make it though. So I gave everyone a bonus for working so hard. Afterall, a P7,000.00 sales a day is something to celebrate. And that was just a single sale, the first for the day. Hehehehe!

Thanks, Grace. ;DIt' Sunday and I'm having a wonderful weekend too. I was not able to get online for a couple of days. My computer got "sick" again coz of too much programs installed in it. My regular technician was assigned somewhere else so I was in a quandary for a while as to where to find another technician as good as my "ex"..(tech..that is :P). Then I remember someone I met on the net two years ago. I see him from time to time and that's his job. I invited him at the post valentine party we had. So I begged him to help me. He came to the house yesterday and he really is very good at what he does coz he was able to fix it right away. And the best thing is, he did not charge me anything. ;D So now I am back. I missed you, loonies...I really did.
By the way, Grace..has Meyie told you about our coming trip to Cebu? We are scheduled to be there on July 1 ..opps..that's Meyie. I was not able to get a ticket on the same day with her so I'm coming the next day which is July 2. So get ready, pretty Cebuanas...we are coming to get ya! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] Meyie and I are talking about having dinner with all of you, Mymy, Looky, and whoever else, on the eve of my arrival? Then we are also planning to go see Bohol also since it's near. We leave on July 4th, last flight. We were able to avail of Cebu Pacific's promo tour which will end on March 15. Imagine that? One way ticket only costs P10? As in ten pesos? :o :o Of course there is the travel tax to consider but it's still cheap all in all. Then I also learned something from my bowling club. Some of them were able to get a promo of 2 nights and 3 days at boracay island for only P2,000.00 including rooms and meals and other accomodations? [smiley=omfg.gif] [smiley=omfg.gif] [smiley=omfg.gif]Unfortunately, when I learned of it, the promo's all sold out. Oh well...at least we will be able to go to Cebu.

Thanks, Krissy ;).

Yesterday I was not able to attend my saturday bowling game. It was the birthday party of my brother, 3rd from me (I am the eldest). I didn't even know it was scheduled for last night so my team didn't know I won't be there. :( His birthday is on Tuesday but since it's a working day, he suddenly decided to hold it last night. I feel very bad because right now my team is on the Top 5 and we, the team members, agreed that we should always be present to play at all costs. We are aiming for the top 3 positions and we have a good chance of getting there, base on all our performances. So 2 hours before the party, I was still undecided if I am going to the party or go to the bowling game. In the end I choose to be at the party because I knew it was a very rare occassion where all members of my family would gather together, including my Mom, who lives with my younger sisters' kids because their moms are working abroad. But the worst thing is that one of my team member called up and told me to inform the team captain that he will not be playing also. Shucks! Talk about bad timing! I told him I won't be there too. He begged me not to miss the game. He said he has arthritis and it's acting up. But I already promised my brother that I am going, so I went. I called one of them up at the end of the game and I was told we lost :'( , they scored zero in the 3 games and was beaten badly. So the opposing team scored 4 over our zero! I am sure that when I go next Saturday, we will be way down below in the rating chart! Wahhhhh!!! [smiley=bigcry.gif] [smiley=bigcry.gif]
But on the bright side, we had lots of fun at the party. My family is a family of "singers". From my Mom down to my 5 year old niece. And most love to dance also and we the adults enjoy drinking a lot. And what more, when my brother give a party, it's full blast. Well, he can afford it. That's why everyone in my family never missed it. Free everything and in abundance, too! With lots of leftovers to take home even. ;D We went home around 3 a.m. But no matter how tired I am my body clock is used to waking up at 6 a.m. so here I am..... :P

It's funny how we always try our best to look good to other people's eyes. But tend to forget those who plays more important parts in our lives. Like family. We are always busy trying to impress the boss, the teacher, our neighbors, our friends. Sometimes we even spend more money on them. When we go out with friends, if we can afford it, it's sky to the limit. When we go out with say brothers or sisters, we insist on splitting the tabs. I mentioned this because I have a customer at the store who owes me 3 weeks of payments for the water the store delivered to their house. Oftentimes, when I call him, he would say "I'll pay them all at the next delivery". And then I would hear from common friends that he was out the night before with his buddies drinking at some fancy nightclubs. It pisses me off, not because of the amount he owes me but because everytime, the wife would say something like..."hey, I have place the order a while back, what is taking you so long to deliver?" or "please hurry up because we are already drinking tap water?". Sometimes I tell my delivery boys to hold their order until all the deliveries has been made because I feel it would be better to use those gallons to some costumers who pay right away or on time. I'm not being greedy here. I just want them to give importance on the fact that this is business. If the husband has enough money to squander on his buddies, what is a few peso set aside for their needs at home, right? Customers like this makes me crazy [smiley=silly.gif] [smiley=silly.gif] [smiley=silly.gif]

Ahh, I share the same thoughts and feelings , Witchy. People like that piss me off. They can spend or make remedy for things for their own enjoyment but when it comes to the things they really need, they don't have anything saved or they just rely on what they can borrow or share from their neighbors. And about an essential thing like that , water expenses, which we need everyday, we should always have something saved for it.

That actually reminds me of a person I know. How I hate that he could travel here and there, had that and this, then when he got seriously ill, he had nothing ?! And that the responsibilities of taking care of his expenses and himself, were all put to his family.

Oh well....  :P And yes Witchy, putting irresponsible customers at the least, is just an "ofcourse". Business is business.  ;)

That's right, Kriss. I wish people would be more responsible, eh? Maybe I will not complain if I am not being directly affected, afterall, it's their lives. But since I am, I can whine. :P

Has anyone of you ever had days when you feel so down? You know, the feeling that you are losing control of your life and everything in it? Sometimes I get that. Sometimes something happens that day that you find disappointing or degrading. The you think about it when you get to bed. And in thinking that particular incident, your thoughts went on and on till you get to some other things that are not as bad but equally disappointing. Then you wake up the next morning and those thoughts came back to you in full force. And presto! You're day starts gloomily!
I am not exactly a moody person. But when something happens, it affect my wholebeing. Last night I got a phone call from a friend from my bowling club. She was asking me if it's true that I am having a relationship with the president of the bowling club. I was shock! I thought it's funny and would have laugh if I have not been so mad at that gossip! For chrissake, the man is married! And we are just close friends because we were in the same team last season? And it so happen that he also likes to drink and sing. So sometimes after the games on a saturday, 11 of us (4 women and 11 men) would go to a bar to sing and drink some more. They are all decent people. One of the guys would even call his wife and invite her to join us which she always did. And it's only natural that this guy would offer to bring me home since my house is on his way? Ok...I'll grant that he has shown some interests in me. But he has never outright said or do anything referring to what he feels for me. So how can I turn him down when he has not said anything? Sheez...! I do not want to be presumptous so I just leave things be. And now look at those gossipers!
And on top of that, I specifically told my daughter that she can't sleep over in her friend's house because her parents are not there. Then she up and told me that she's 20 and she can't be told what to do anymore coz she already know what she should or should not do. I tried to explain that I trust her but I don't trust her other friends. So we end up arguing last night. Then I got a call from a friend cop, said my nephew has been arrested for possession of marijuana and that my son was with him! Sheez!! So I had to go there and talk to the superintendent before those greedy cops decide to make money out of it. When I got there my son told me the story of what really happened. He said they were just standing in front of my sister's house (about 2 a.m.) eating burgers when this police patrol came by. He said his cousin panicked and handed him something. Before he could react, the cops were on them doing body search to each of them. And found the plastic of marijuana in my son's hands which he readily handed to them out of nervousness. I was so mad when I got to the precint I slapped my nephew in front of the cops and told him not to come to my house ever again! [smiley=furious3.gif] My son is not a user, but he said they are his cousins so he thought nothing wrong of being with them and staying up late since school is done. Earlier I had a wordfight with my sister too about my slapping her son. I have repeatedly told her to look out for her sons coz I was told that they are regularly seen in some places where drugs and marijuanas are sold but she won't listen to me. She kept on denying it. Now she has her proof. AND I'M IN A BAD MOOD TODAY! [smiley=furious3.gif] [smiley=furious3.gif]

It was a relief that I was able to take my son home with me without a fuss from the arresting officers. But I told them I will not answer for my nephews. Let their mother take care of her problems! I have enough of my own. He's grounded for now and he just stay home watching TV or using the phone. Sometimes I took pity on him because he is a good kid. He has other friends in the neighborhood but his bestfriend is on vacation so he's forced to hang around with his no-good cousins. I think he has learned his lessons though. He won't accept his cousin's phone calls. He's 16 but he's still my baby. When his father died, he slept with me in my room for a week. I don't know why and I did not ask. I just let him.
I went to the bowling game last night and I was holding my head high. Because now I know why I am getting stared at. I dare anyone to ask me about the gossip. A friend asked why I look ready to do battle. Hahahaha! I did not realize I have on my "angry face" when I came in. But I just laughed at the joke, did not say anything. I know I was being defensive but heck, I'm not guilty of anything and I feel bad that they think so low of me. At least those gossip-mongers. But we won the game so I am happy now. And my days of depression is over. :P Everything is back to normal. Hehehehe!

Lol, Gracia. Just don't ask me to bring building materials for construction, ok?

I was at the mall with my son yesterday afternoon. He asked me to go with him because his gf is graduating from highschool today and he wants me to help him choose a gift. We passed by his favorite shirt brand, the "FUBU". The items in this particular store are all expensive and the sizes are way too large than the normal, the shirts, the pants, the walking shorts, etc. One shirt costs from P900.00 to P1,500.00 and the jeans are even more expensive. My son likes to wear shirts and pants that would fit a size 45 man. I don't know why kids today love wearing loose clothings. ::) In the past, he always buy at least 2 shirts and a pair of pants everytime we get the monthly allowance from his dad. And there are also times when he would come rushing home and say, "Mom, quick! I saw this shirt at the Fubu station and it's really cool!" Then I would say, "but you just bought some new ones yesterday? You can buy it next month, ok?" But he would insist in buying that coz according to him it might not be there anymore next month. So softhearted that I am, I will give him some money and let him buy it. But that was in the past,  when his father was still alive. My late husband has spoiled our kids rotten, at least materially. My daughter was worse, everytime a new celfon brand comes out, he would call her dad and ask him to send her some money so she can trade her previous celfon for the latest style. ::) But things are different now. We don't have monthly allowances anymore that comes thru the bank every month. We are not falling on hard times, far from it. But we have a business to run now and it is more important than any material things. Because sometimes there are things we need to buy when we get orders in bulks. Like gallons or bottles, stickers, and other things. And I want to have ready cash when that happens. And bills to pay, etc..etc...Anyway, as I was saying, we passed by this store, and my son saw this shirt and exclaimed "Oh, look at this, mom!! Can we buy it please?" And when I told him I can't afford it at the moment, he simply said "oh, ok." And said nothing more. I was very proud of him at that moment. No whinings, no insisting, no sulking, no anything. I hope I can buy it for him next month. It will be a nice surprise, don't u think? ;D

You're a hard woman to please, Gracia :P.

Last night I went to the funeral wake of a friend's sister. This friend of mine went to the US last November. His mother died two weeks after he has left. And now...his sister. :'( He has applied for a US visa in the past and always got denied, but that this time he finally got lucky. But it was bad timing. His mother's health is failing. Two weeks before his departure, he was talking to her. Telling her that maybe he should not go and wait for her birthday which was supposedly last January. But his mother insisted on it. Told him he may not get the chance again and she wants him to be able to give his family something. So off he went. Two weeks after, his mother died. He was crying hard on the phone. His mother has lived with him all her life, him being her favorite son.
He has a younger sister who is a little "healthy". And her friends and neighbors always tease her about being a "fatso". So she went on a diet. Which actually worked coz she started losing weight. So everybody was calling her "sexy". But two months ago, her family started to get worried coz she gets slimmer everyday. So she stopped dieting and has started to take vitamins to regain her health. But even after she started eating healthy foods again, her body continued to lose weight. So she consulted a doctor. And it was then she found out that she has cancer. And it's terminal. She was surprised and devastated by the news. She never felt anything wrong with her body, no pain, no swelling, no shortness of breath...nothing at all. She's only 32 years old and has 3 kids with ages ranging from 12 to 6. Her hubby works in Dubai. She consulted other doctors but was always given the same diagnosis. Worse, she was only given 3 months to live! Sheeez....it did not even take two months and she passed away!
Again my friend was crying very hard on the phone coz he had two death in his family simultaneously and he can't even afford to come home for the funeral coz it will take a lot of money.
It's really sad when someone has to work far from home just to support the family. And when things like death happens, they can't even be there to say goodbye to the loved ones who passed away or to someone who is seriously ill. It makes me think more that we really should treasure the times we spend with loved ones coz we never knew when we will lose them.

We lost another game last night at my bowling tournament. Dang... from # 3 we're now down to # 8 in ranking! That's coz two of my best teamates has resigned. The first one will be assigned by his company to work in their provincial branch. The other one had an eye operation 6 months ago and he was complaining of having a blurred vision. When he went to see his doctor he was told that his eye is bleeding inside so he can't do anything strenous, including bowling. So we were forced to find a replacement the same day or be eliminated from the game until next season. No professionals are allowed to join in the middle of the game so we took in amateur players, including my sister. And shucks if they don't throw gutterball most of the time! [smiley=silly.gif] My sister wants to be in on the club coz it's fun just being a member. It will take practice though. But that's okay. Only I am embarassed coz she's my sister and I was the one who reccomended her :P Our team captain told me not to worry about losing or winning. That we are there to enjoy the game not to compete. Still...it would be nice to receive a trophy, won't it? ;D
I'm taking it easy today. It's a Sunday and we don't do bulk deliveries on Sundays coz it's my helpers' day off. We just sell water around the neighborhood on Sundays. So it's chatting and chatting for me today. ;D But I am not feeling well. I have a hangover from too much drinking last night. My other sisters and brothers came to watch the game. And of course everytime we are together, there would be drinking and singing. But we do that a lot in every game anyway. Though I seldom join in the drinking when I am having a good game. Unless it's someone's birthday or anniversaries or whatever occassion they want to celebrate. The male members of the club loves to drink and sing all the time. That's why the owner of the bowling alley provided us with a karaoke. It costs 5 pesos per song, so it's a good business. ;D I already took something for my headache so I hope I will feel better soon. Stupid hangovers!

I'm so pissed off today! >:( I came online and I saw my bf's status and wondered about it. It sez something about false women on the internet, playing him for a fool, making promises and saying sweet words. I confronted my bf about it coz I thought of the worst scenario and he said he got an offline message from a friend of mine supposedly a male, telling him i am playing him for a fool and that I say the same things to him? Sheez..I want to feel flattered, but I am curious first as to who this a s s h o l e can be? I think whoever this idiot is, he doesn't know that my boyfriend and I have known each other for more than three years and we have an on and off relationship for almost the same number of years now?  ::) We are already comfortable with each other and no amount of intrigues can break us apart except for circumstances that are beyond our control. Won the bowling game last night again, that's two in a row after 3 heavily losses. Yap...we lose some games too but I don't tell you, peeps! Hehehehe! But there are only two more games left so if we don't beat the last two teams, we lost the whole game. And I doubt it if we can beat them, they are two of the reigning champions. Oh well....I guess it's  better luck next time. The new season opens in June so I hope I will be assigned to a better team. Happy Easter everyone, in case I forgot to greet all of you in the next few days. Monday and Tuesday we will have Passion of Christ reading...or rather singing here in our house. It goes for 24 hours where folks "chant" Jesus' life story from the day He was born to the day He was crucified and ascended to heaven.
The day after is the most awaited day for my whole clan. That's when we go to the beach in Quezon Province and do nothing but swim, eat, play, sunbath, drink, sing and be merry for 5-whole days! Awesome! The kids are inviting some of their friends and it's lucky my brother is loaning us one of his new bus. It can surely accomodate us all since we numbered from 50-60 persons including children. That's only the persons....imagine the baggage, tents, rubber boats, floaters, etc..etc..! And I'm bringing in 20 5-gallons of water and 2 sacks of rice. That's my contribution...and gas for the bus, of course. I'm sure we will all have a good time. ;D

[smiley=clap.gif] [smiley=clap.gif] [smiley=icon_dance.gif] [smiley=icon_dance.gif] [smiley=icon_dance.gif] [smiley=icon_super.gif] [smiley=icon_super.gif] Tonight we're leaving for the island in Quezon Province where I grew up. We go there every year to spend easter vacation. And we always stay on the beach. We will be sleeping on tents and sleeping bags and camped out there for 4 days without seeing the civilization. ;D We will eat nothing but seafoods!! Grilled, fried, soups. Yummy! We would have gone earlier but I have an ongoing "Pabasa"  here at home. For those who do not understand, it's a filipino tradition being performed every year during the easter season. The life story of Jesus Christ from the day He was conceived to the time when He was crucified and has come back to life was read in the form of singing/chanting and it goes on non-stop for 24 hours. Most filipinos go fasting on Holy Thursday and Friday, some do not just eat all form of meats and poultry on these days. But after that....it's celebration day. ;D So I will be gone for a while, folks...we're leaving tonight after the conclusion of the Pabasa. I'll have a chance to wear my two-piece bikini again! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] I tried on something like that the other night, my kids said..."yuck mom, pls don't embarass us and wear something that covers u from head to foot instead?" Take a picture of Quezon Province , if you can. I have no idea about the place. And , if you don't mind, the bikini.....yay!   :)

Have fun and hope to see you back, safely. Seafoods sometimes are not good when too much. So, better bring some ......Seirogan, a Chinese strong medicine for stomach ache which I know used also in the Philippines. Hehe.

Thank you for dropping by, Kriss. ;D I just got back yesterday after staying 3 days on the beach. From the island, we had to take a 5-minutes boatride to get to the cleaner part of the island for our camping trip. Because the beach around the village is clustered with sticks, coconut husks, coconut logs, driftwoods and some other sea litters that are carried by the tide. And of course it would be akward to go swimming while all the village people gawk at us. ;D Anyway, it's littered with boats so not ideal for swimming. But I am getting ahead in recounting the whole trip. Hehehe! We left Manila around 2 am. As I said we borrowed one of my brother's bus including the driver. There are so many of us so you can imagine how many baggages we carried also. The tents and canvasses, blankets, sleeping bags, pots and pans, groceries, chairs, tables, gas cooking stoves, and our bags which contains our personal belongings. It was like we are moving to a new house! ;D It was a 4 hour trip made longer by the stops we made along the way. To pee, for gasoline and to buy something to eat. And the men are drinking inside the bus also and they keep on singing bawdy songs to keep the driver awake, they say. ::) The dawn was already breaking when we got to the island. So all the cook made a quick breakfast while we went to hire a big boat that can carry us all in just 3 trips to save boat rents. There were at least 2 dozen kids with us with ages ranging from a month old (yes...1-month old) to 10 years olds. And the teenagers of course. My mom was the oldest person. :P When we get to the beach, I divided the work. The men put up tents, while those who do not like the tiring job of cooking got the job of watching over the kids who were all eager to swim. We sent the young boys and girls to gather woods for the bonfire at night before it gets too dark to see anything. There was no electricity on the beach so we uses gas lamps. It's just to cook and to eat anyway. Coz after dinner, the moon always starts to shine so bright it looks as if there are streetlights on the beach! I have a nice tan but I think over sunbath my shoulders coz it's too read and painful to even the slightest touch! At night we built campfires and go drinking and singing and story-telling. We have an uncle who was born and raised on the island and he is really very funny when he recounted stories of their youth on the island. We slept in tents and canvasses and sleeping bags. And some, due to drinking too much found themselves lying on the sand where they were sitting the night before! Hahahaha! There was no fresh water around so we just took a bath with fresh water when we went back to the island 3 days after. It's itchy for some but it's good for the skin actually. We really had lots of fun and I have posted some pics, too at the picture perfect.

While on my easter vacation in my hometown, I got the chance to visit with old friends. Folks I grew up with. And guess who else? My very first love ;D. Everyone kept saying I don't look a day old than when I went there a couple of years ago. I look at them and thought "this is what i would look like also had i stayed on and marry my first bf. They have 5 grown up kids, some of whom were already married and raising a passel of kids themselves. The people there are always hungry for news about the people that used to live there and went somewhere else soon as they are old enough or gutsy enough to try their luck somewhere else. The village really has a simple life. But I guess they will never miss what they never have. Maybe that's why even living a simple life, I can see them contentedly living their everyday routine. But I see some changes also. When during my days women marry at an early age, I was surprise to know that the new generations (children of my childhood friends) are sending their children to school in high school or college. They even have electricity now. But one was complaining that colored TV do not work well over there. That black in white has more clear picture tube. Hehehehe! Progress? Maybe. But all in all, not bad for a backward town. But the moon and the stars are all still visible at night. Oh well..I guess you can't have it all and we just have to count our blessings no matter how small they are or how insignificant they are compared to our lost dreams.

Of course, pards..and again I am sorry for your loss.

Death has a way of reminding us that life is too short to spend on anger and miseries. And sometimes we only realize the worth of a person after they are gone. And sometimes...when I think about it, it is sad that when a person is gone from our lives never to be seen again, all we will have are the memories that we kept hidden in our hearts. But then after a time, we will completely forget the person and just occassionaly think of them. I know I should take it as a positive sign. That the pain of the loss has lessened over time. But sometimes, too....I put myself in their place and it kinda make me feel sad to think that I will be just a vague memory to all the people that mattered to me in the past. People who I have tried my best to help live an easy life, people who always think of me as funny and witty, people who I would never think of hurting, people who I hold dear in my heart.
I keep a picture of my husband in my bedside table and I admit that there are times when I don't think of him anymore. Only when I get drunk. I would lie down in my bed and see his pictures and felt sad that our lives together has been so short. When he was still alive, it just doesn't seem possible that I would be living a life without him. But when I think of all the things that happened, the good and the bad, I sometimes ask his portrain why did it ever happened. Where did things go wrong and when did he stopped loving me, if he ever did. The circumstances of my past marriage is still painful for me to remember, of course. And whenever I feel the anger, I simply think of how wonderful he had been to me and especially to our two children whom he loved and adored unconditionally. So many questions left unanswered......
Sometimes it feels as if life has done me some injustices yet again. But I strongly believe that only the Lord above is the only one who can answer those questions now. And I know that whatever has happened, it was His will. And I know that it happened because He has something else planned for me. He has always been good to me. He has always taken care of me even without me asking for His help. And I really believe that He knows and He watches all of His children, good or bad.
On Tuesday, April 25 will be my husband's first death anniversary. How fast time flies!

My kids and I attended a swimming party given by a neighbor in honor of their daughter. She was a Nursing student who graduated cum laude at the Far Eastern University this month. Her name is Loida Bautista. Her parents rented the clubhouse and there was an abundance of food and drinks. We had lots of fun coz most of the guests were from the same neighborhood where I live. During her speech, I was looking at her enviously and was thinking I wish I had a child like her. My kids were beside me and my daughtr poked me in the arm and said "Mom, we can't be goodlooking and scholarly too, that would be too much blessings for you!". I laughed out loud coz it was unexpected. I didn't realize I was too obvious. My kids always know how to make me laugh, goofy that they are. Of course, they are my kids, what do I expect? ;D
We really had lots of fun drinking and swimming. I was not supposed to go swimming coz I just took a bath before leaving the house. But there were lots of pushing and pulling coz we were all sitting at tables by the pool. At one time, I noticed some of the boys talking and looking my way. So when I saw them approaching, I hurriedly took off my shoes and jumped into the water! They were laughing at me when I submerged and asked why I decided to jump all of a sudden. I told them I know them jerks are gonna carry me off and throw me in. So instead of going in screaming and kicking, I did it all by myself and voluntarily! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] They think they can outsmart a witch, eh? [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] But some of our close friends are not as lucky as me. A fight almost broke out coz these same boys carried someone off and throw him into the water and he had his wallet and celfon inside his pants pocket. But cooler heads prevailed. Afterall, we are all friends. Of course I got home drunk, what else is new? :P

Everyday I get more and more inspired as I look forward to meeting the love of my life in person. It's kinda scary when you are meeting someone from the net for the first time. Friends are ok, coz you just get to have fun talking to each other. You never worry about the impression you will make. But if there's a relationship involved, you feel all jittery inside and lots of "what ifs" comes to mind. And too, the thought of the possibility of getting physical with that person is exciting yet worrisome at some point. ;D Oh well, I guess it's part of the getting-to-know each other process. We are highly attracted to each other, not just physically but we have made some bonding over the years and we both feel and like the chemistry also. I just hope things will be the same for both of us when we finally meet. It's about time too....that's from him :P. I love you, my Papa. :-* Dang..the witch is getting mushy here...ewwww!!

Yesterday, Sunday, April 30, we have yet another ac1 chatters meeting due to the presence of Nette, Netterz, netteski, itmightbeyou. We met at the house of Meyie in paranque. I was the first one to get there. Probably because I live the farthest. Can anyone tell me the logic in that? ;D Anyway, Nette texted me and told me she's about to leave the house to to to Meyie's. And at that time I was already rounding the corner of Meyie's house already and she was just about to leave her house! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] Meyie cooked karekare, a famous native dish in the Philippines. And she also served some green salad, mainly because she is on a diet and won't eat meat. ;D Netty brought plenty of pork barbecue enough for 3 days! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] But it taste good, the meat tender and tasty. Yummy! I brought crema de frutta....I didn't make it though, I bought it from goldilocks bake shop, it's my favorite gift whenever I go visit anyone's house. Well, it really taste good, that's why. :P Justine and Piglet later arrived with a friend of theirs and went to the kitchen right away complaining they were very hungry! Sheez...and we spent a long time waiting for them and they have the guts to complain!   [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] After 2 hours...we went out somewhere to eat halohalo and mais con yelo. Meyie's place is very convenient. It is located at a commercial area where everything is just a walking distance. Starbuckz, pizza house, Little quiapo....sheez...it's very nice living in a place like that. But I guess it's costly too ;D. We spent 2 hours  there exchanging stories....oh alright, gossiping...  :P and taking pictures. When we got back to Meyie's place...we were not hungry but felt like munching something so we raided Meyie's mini sari-sari store for junk foods. [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] JC came bringing his kids, the youngest of whom is nette's godchild. Then later a couple came too, some former chatters of ac1 too way back in 2002 and said they met thru ac1 and fell in love on the first get together of ac1 which was held in Meyie's place. I learned that their kid is also nette's godchild. Shuckz, she must have given out a lot of money for the 3 years she was not around on x'mas! ;D We went home at around 7 pm coz Justine has to go  somewhere else. We plan to meet again this Sunday, this time to Piglet's house in honor of their fiesta. We will see the famous bamboo organ. [smiley=clap.gif] [smiley=clap.gif] [smiley=clap.gif]

Went to Piglet's house last Sunday but there were only me and april and dox who went to the meeting place. Winx texted us at the last minute saying she got a call from her family and was told that her father had a heart attack and is on a 50/50 chance of surviving. I hope all is well with her by now. Peter, another chatter under the id "tisoy_na_gwapo" or something like that didn't make it either. Said he has to go to Subic that day also. We picked up Meyie on the way to Piglet's so there were just the four of us. Justine also did not make it coz she attended an aunt's death anniversary. And nette...we don't know what happened to her but she was not there also. There were lots of foodstuffs and we also did a lot of karaoke singing. ;D Then we drank a lot of beers. I am not a beer person so 3 bottles are more than enough for me. As a matter of fact, I slept in the taxi all the way from Piglet's house to where I drop off April which was at least 45 minutes. :P I didn't even know Dox has got off the taxi already somewhere. Hehehehe! They took lots of pics too. I posted one at the thread Asian Connections under AC1 Get Together.

Wow..didn't notice it's been a long time since I came here last to visit my blog. Maybe that's coz nothing amusing or important has happened to my life since the last time. I played bowling last time but we already lost the slot at the Top 8 so I just play now for the ladies' single and the mixed double. After that it's our annual summer outing.
Btw, I changed my profile pic in here. EVerytime I post something at the All About Sex I feel uncomfortable when I see my son smiling like that.  ;D. It's busy, busy, busy at the store all the time. I even have to put my computer inside the store so I can watch everything clearly. And for easier access to the phone also. Because in the past this computer was in the living room and when the phone ring I had to run to the store to get it when no one is around. And it's very annoying when I'm talking to someone interesting at PM. :P ;D. At least now I am in the room till the store closes at 9 pm then I chat and chat and chat till I get sleepy. Not that I don't chat a lot during the day. But sometimes I get busy and I miss out on something;D

I feel so harassed today! Imagine, it's summer here and most of my nieces and nephews are taking their "summer vacation" here in my house? I have at least 12 kids ranging from 12 years old to 17. And today they all went to attend my aunt's 1st death anniversary and I had to stay behind to watch the store. And now I am all alone here except for my helpers. Then earlier, when they were out delivering water, it rained so hard all of a sudden. So I went to gather the clothes drying in the peg at the back. And while I was doing it, the phone at the store kept on ringing, and I'm sure they are from costumers wanting to order water by phone. But I can't leave the clothes coz they are going to get wet. And when I have done that and went to answer the last call, it's gone. So I sat down in front of the computer intending to have a little chat, then I remember all the windows upstairs are open so I left a PM right away in my rush forgetting to type "brb". When I got upstairs my bed's wet and both of the two other rooms were splashed with rainwater also.

I was inside the bathroom last saturday getting ready to take a bath, in fact I have taken off my clothes already and was about to step in the shower when I heard a frantic knock on my bedroom door. It was my store helper. I asked him what's so dang important and urgent that he has to disturbed me inside the bathroom. He said there was a man at the store asking for the price of water enough to fill a swimming pool. For a while I did not understand him. So I put on my clothes back and went down to the store with him. True enough, there was this man at the store window and he was REALLY asking for price for THAT amount of water. I thought "is this man on drugs or something? Mineral water for a swimming pool? :o". But then I look  behind him to the waiting car and there was Chantiq laughing at the flabbergasted look on my face! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]. I knew there was something fishy about that whole scenario! Hahahaha! Sheez! She said she went to the SM Mall near me and decided to dropped by. She was inviting me to watch the movie DaVinci Code. Too bad I had a bowling games in two hours. So we just promised to each other we will watch it next week. Dang...I almost fainted at that much order of water! Dratt...I can't believe I have been remiss in my own blog! Oh well...that's coz I don't have anything important or interesting to share these last few weeks. I took a much needed vacation for a week in Legazpi City, it's where Cel aka Be_Cool lives and I met up with her on my second day. We just stayed at my hotel room coz when she got there I just came back from a dinner treat courtesy of my in-laws. She promised to get back the next day so we can go exploring but she said she got busy so I just enjoyed the days with my in-laws. But the weekend before that we went to visit Corregidor. It's an island in the Philippines where some of the important events of the war between the Japanese and the Filipinos with the USAFEE took place. The guided tour took us to the places where McArthur bid the Filipinos farewell with the promise "I shall return!". There is a long tunnel where there are laterals inside. Some of these laterals housed several hospital beds. During the 30-minutes re-enaction of the war scenes, I can't help but feel the sufferings of the many Filipinos and Americans who suffered during the war, especially the Death March. When the POW's can't walk, they were shot or cut with swords. When women along side the road on the way tried to help them, they too were punished. The tunnel was very dark and only statues and pictures were shown with the original voices of the speakers as they happened in every laterals. It feels real though. I'm glad I did not witness it personally or I would have killed a lot of Japanese. Grrrr!! [smiley=furious3.gif] Then we went to the museum where they exhibits the guns and everything they used in the war, army issued canteens, folding bed, knives, spoons, forks, medals, combat shoes, and the many different kinds of guns that existed during those years. It was very informative.

I am so excited today! [smiley=icon_dance.gif] I just close a deal with a big company and I will be supplying them with water everyweek. It's the HBC (Hortaleza Beauty Center) and they have branches all over Metro Manila and the Philippines! I was getting nervous coz I have submitted my company profile a month ago and I have not heard from them since then. And I know I have many competitors. I so wanted to get this one coz it's my first big account. And I just received the P.O. (Purchase Order) by fax. We have just delivered 100 gallons of 5-gallons capacity and it's going to be weekly! OMG!! I'm a real businesswoman now coz I now deal with big companies! Hehehehe! Before I felt like it was just a water store, now it's a company!! I'm really happy coz the store is doing great and sales is steadily climbing up every month. Thank you, bossing Jessie! Mwahhh!

Title: Re: The Tale of a Wicked Witch

Lol, Krissy, there is nothing to it really. I just happened to have friends who are willing to help my business take off from the runway. ;D I do not even noticed I have not visited my blog for a long time now. Im really running on a tight sched right now. Both of my drivers have resigned. The other one has just received his seaman's visa to board his ship and the other one owns a tricycle now. So I really have no time to post here on my blog except at the different topics since they do not require so much time and thoughts. Most of the time I stand guard at the store, attending to walk in customers, even refilling bottles and gallons myself. Im that shorthanded. So what I do right now is just hire extra help/driver when there are lots of deliveries to make. Coz those that applies for the job are either lazy or careless.
Also, our bowling tournament for the second season has just opened and it will last till December when we hold our annual x'mas party. So I'm really very, very busy right now. And to add to that, I'm now having requests to update my romance novel at the Fine Arts section titled "Starlight.....Starbright...". Yes, this is also a plug-in ;D. It's a story of a young, naive island girl who has been mistreated badly by the people she trusted. It tells of her adventures and struggles from rag to riches and how fate will make a twist in the end which will culmimate her sweet revenge to those people who wronged her. Of course, like in any romance novel, she also has a prince charming.  ;), even a guardian angel. I choose the title Starlight, starbright- to illustrate a young girl's dream. Remember the nursery rhyme with the same title that goes like "Starlight, starbright, i wish i would, i wish i could, have the wish, i wished tonight." I hope more of you will come to read it. It's really a beautiful story, if I may say so myself. :-* And I hope more will come to read it. If I get a good review for this one maybe I can turn it into a script and submit it to TV stations for another soap opera! Nyahahahah! Dream big, witchy! Dratt! What a weather! For three straight days now there's been heavy rains and strong wind here in Manila! I hope the dang typhoon would bring it's wrath somewhere else. The city of Baguio gets hit the hardest I heard, with lots of landslides in different areas. Well, it's mountainous. I just hope the road are still clear for commuters. It's a long and winding and treacherous on weather such as this. So far this is the strongest that ever hit the Philippines this year.
Rainy days are here to stay and it's bad for business. People don't get so thirsty these days. ;D Oh well.....
There's a funeral being held in my neighborhood again, the retarded son of a neighbor. Funny I have never seen the boy in his whole 20 years and they live just a few houses away from me. I guess the mother, she's unwed), has kept him away from public exposure. Heck, I've had this house for 23 years and I never even knew about the boy till his death. So I was kinda surprised when I heard of it. I look at the mother and she doesn't seem sad. Which made me think either she felt relieved coz he's less of a burden now to her or she's just too good at hiding her emotions. Will a mother really welcome the death of a child who has been a burden to her since birth? Especially a single mother? I wish I could ask her that. Sometimes I question life on why sometimes those that are down and out still gets hit the hardest in life? Some would say, they are just trials. But when are they going to see some lights in their lives? When it's too late to save somebody's life? Some says life is what we make it. Does that poor kid to be blamed for the kind of short life he had lived on this earth? Is he even aware of his existence? Does he even care? I guess I'll never know. Let's pray for his soul, friends. I don't even know his name. Sorry about that....

Did anyone else ever had a day when everything seems to go wrong? And why things seems to slow down more when you are in a rush? It's exactly what happened to me today. >:( You see, I have a rush order for a 5,000 bottles of water in 500 ml to be delivered Thursday morning. It's the reason why I was not able to go online for 3 days I think. I wanted to finish everything in plenty of time so I can breath more easily unlike before when I was under pressure coz they only gave us two days to get a thousand bottles ready for deliveries. Now they gave us plenty of time. It was ordered at least 2 weeks before. So last week I was still taking it easy. Friday we started it. I figured I have plenty of time. So I got myself busy and my kids also. And the reason I don't go online is coz my kids said if I go online they will stop working also. So like the obedient mom that I am ( i know, i know....) I merely look at the computer with longing. :P Anyway, Monday we were still ahead. More bottles will be delivered today. So we still have time since I only need to finish just 1,500 bottles more. We have finished the 3,500. Thanks to the 5 extra helps I hired. It's not really hard work. Just time consuming coz we have to do things manually. Washing the bottles, filling it with water, putting the caps and making sure it's tightly capped, putting the capseal and the seal of the company logo in each bottles using heatguns, then packing them in a box using shrinkable plastic covers. We do the box ourselves coz the one they sell at factories are expensive. P18.00 per box when I can buy used ones from the stores for only 3 to 5 pesos each. All we need to do is shape it by cutting and stapling the sides. But today, from the morning I woke up and up to this time, everything's gone wrong. I woke up to find that there were lots of orders from our regular customers. So they have to do that first to get it out of the way. Then the driver I hired called in sick and I can't find a new one. So I begged my brother not to go to his office today and help me deliver the orders to our dealers and residences and offices. Then the driver almost got caught because I forgot the van's plate number is in color coding today! So I told my brother to go to his office so he can at least work half the day since he can't make anymore deliveries till 7 pm. Not only that, we waited the whole day for the last bottle deliveries and this afternoon, the factory called and said their delivery truck broke down and they will have to deliver tomorrow! It really pissed me off since we are in a rush. So I gave them a piece of my mind then cancelled the order and instead tried to get hold of another factory. I was able to get one but they do not have deliveries for today and instead adviced me to just pick it up ourselves. I said we can do that but it will have to be  after 7 pm. They said no problem. So I called my brother and told him to come to my house after office hours. He said okay but he will be late coz he's out on an errand. I waited until 9 pm and he said he won't be able to make it to the factory coz he's still in Makati and the traffic is terrible and we are in Quezon City! Grrrr! [smiley=furious3.gif] So I had to call the factory tonight and beg them to please open their store at 7 pm tomorrow so we can get the bottles early coz we're running out of time! And they are very considerate to say yes. The other frustrating thing is, I had to pay the extra helps half a day's wages when they did not do anything coz the bottles were not delivered! [smiley=wall.gif] I wonder if tomorrow's going to be a pleasant one. I hope so! What else can go wrong?

Sad to say both sides or all sides of my life is in it's saddest stages right now, Krissy. But that's ok, I'm a survivor if nothing else. We were able to finish the order though and it was delivered on time also. Thanks for dropping by. :-*

Life is really very short, isn't it? Death comes to us sometimes so unexpectedly that it blows our mind with the suddenness of it. And sometimes you regretted not doing a lot more for the person who has just passed away. Especially if it's a very dear person, someone who is very close to your heart. So friends, try to show your love and care to the people special to you. Because it maybe the last time you will ever see them again!

My whole family and clan is in mourning right now for the passing of my mother's youngest brother. He was a very dear person to all of us. When he was younger he was always full of mischiefs and loved to tell funny stories. So we love to have him around all the time to tell us of his "adventures" while growing up. His death was so unexpected none of us could really believe he's gone from us forever. He died of a heart failure last July 21. It was so sudden, too! He just brought his wife to work and his daughter to school and they said they did not notice anything unusual that day. He was even laughing in the car. An hour after, I got a phonecall from their neighbor telling me to rush to the hospital because they just brought my uncle there. I already knew it was serious or they would have not contacted me. No matter that they know I was his favorite niece. I called my sister at her office and told her to go there first since she was nearer the hospital while I go and change. Ten minutes after that, my aunt called and told me, "where are you? why are you not here yet? you're uncle's gone...!" And she was crying so hard on the celfon. After my initial shock, my first thought was of my Mom. He was her youngest brother. My mom has 3 brothers and she is the eldest. Three years ago, her two brothers died one after the other of the same cause, heart failure. I didn't know how to bring up the news that she lost yet another. But she has to be told so I called my other sister first and told her to go to my mom's house and be there when I tell the bad news. They made her drink some water first and slowly, we told her Uncle Tom has just passed away. We were worried because she didn't cry so we know her grief was inside her. When we brought her to the memorial chapel, we let her view him alone. She was still not crying but we were watching her through the glass wall. After a time, we saw her crying and when she came to us, she was already smiling. She said while she was looking down at him, my uncle for the last time did his usual trick on her. She said she was startled when she heard someone said "booooo..!" She looked around and saw no one else was there. It was a game my uncle always played with my mom when he was still alive coz when startled, she always say funny things so my uncle loved to do that to her. My mother said she feels better now coz it was my uncle's way of saying goodbye to her and that he was at peace where he is now. We had goose bumps when she was telling that story. And we believed her coz she is not a joker. The funeral will be held on Thursday. My cousins, his two married kids will be arriving from the US, his daughter tonight, and his son tomorrow morning. I pity his kids coz it seems they come to the Philippines every year for the funeral of a parent. Last year was their mom. And this year, it's their dad. Although the parents has been living separately, my uncle was very close to his 3 kids, all married now and he's crazy about his grandkids, always bringing them to my house when there is an occassion. Uncle Tom, you have made a lot of differences in our lives and you served as an inspiration to all of us. May you rest in peace and I am sure you know how much I love you, maybe even stronger than your love for me. I know God will take care of you better now. Goodbye.....

Thank you, Krissy. Internment will be this Saturday so we are still a little busy here.

I remember when we were younger. My uncle has always gotten himself into scrapes of some kind. One time, my grandfather beat him with his belt for playing a trick on the town's cowardest citizen. It was a moonless night and my uncle and his friends "borrowed" the big turtle pet of a neigbor. Then they tied up a board on the back of the turtle and set 3 long candles in it so that when the turtle walks, it would appear as if those 3 candles were floating in the air. They timed it when the man will be coming home from courting a lady from the neighborhood whose house is near the woods. Everyone knows their ways into the clearing at the village because the houses were set on both sides of the shore so that the middle of the island (the island is shaped like a long sand bridge, btw) can be used as a "road" by the villagers in going to both ends of the "bridge". My uncle and his friends hid behind a house nearest to where they have set up the turtle. The man, coming out of the woods saw the "floating candles" and ran back to the woods, and ran himself into a coconut tree howling all the while "ghostttttt...! Helppppp...!" The culprits were all laughing their ass off and forgot about the turtle who slowly walk towards the house of a pregnant woman. The woman, hearing the commotion went out to investigate about the noise and saw the "floating candles" coming towards her and fainted. She almost gave birth in fright. The next day, it was all over the village and everyone knew who did it. My grandpa was so mad at my uncle he summoned his son and ordered him to lie down on his stomach at the bench outside our house. My uncle knew he was in trouble and he was ready for it. When my grandpa started hitting him, he "howled" in "pain". But after a while, my grandpa noticed that even before the leather belt hit my uncle's behind, he was already howling but grandpa noticed too that he doesn't sound as if in pain. He got suspicious and groped my uncle's behind. There inside his jeans was a leather padding!  [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]. Grandpa couldn't believe his eyes that his youngest son could be so wily he ended up laughing.
I also remembered the times my uncle and his friends stole the boat so they can go to the other side of the island to serenade some lady. He would hoist me up on his shoulder so I can get inside grandpa's bedroom through the window for the key which grandpa kept on a nailpost. Sometimes when they were drinking and ran out of "pulutan", they would check the neighborhood and see who has left their kitchen door open and stole foods. Usually we don't lock doors. But everyone likes my uncle. But when he was not into mischiefs, my uncle can be a charmer. He loves to tell stories and people always listen to him when he does. He was a good storyteller, he can make everyone laugh so easily. Now he's gone.... :'( Goodbye forever, uncle Tom.

Hugs Woowoo  [smiley=grouphug.gif]

I can't believe I stayed til 1 am last Monday night there.  I lost track of time while listening in to funny stories of your friends and relatives eh...storm and all, sans electricity.  They're a riot!  hehe...

What one of your friends at the wake said is true you know (most cases)... You get to see relatives and friends whom you have not seen for ages when a common friend or family dies.  A kind of an odd setting for a reunion but such is life.  Busy lifestyles and hectic schedules permits us little time or none at all to get re-acquainted with old friends.  But it's really a matter of WILL.  "If there's a will there's a way."  Never pass up a chance to make an effort to reach out to people who are dear to you while they're still with us in the land of the living.

What you said is true, amiga. And thank you very much for spending time at the funeral wake of my uncle. You are really one true friend who are always there even in times of grief. I really appreciate what you have done. Going to the wake when I did not even tell you the name of my uncle. You are so resourceful in finding out which one belongs to us. ;D Imagine that, asking everyone if they know a woman by my name! Hahahaha! The worse is over now. We held the internment last Saturday and as you know it's been raining hard the whole afternoon the ground is so wet and muddy. Good thing I was not wearing my best shoes. ;D The grassy lot still got muddy and soaking wet in some portions. There are lots of people who came to pay their last respect. My uncle was really well loved by his friends and family.
After the internment I still went to my bowling tournament with puffy eyes. And it was the worst games I have played ever. Maybe I'm just so tired due to a whole week of sleeping what little i can get. Funeral wake in the evening and working some during the day. My cousins are going back to the US this Saturday. But my relatives who lives in the Philippines and my family has already planned a reunion this month. We will be going to the island on a weekend and I hope you can join us, amiga. I would love to have you with me if you can stand the noise and the confusions of having a big family, knowing you are an only child.
The weather is still uncooperative. what with one typhoon after another visiting the Philippines every week, I'm not surprised I have forgotten how hot it can be here. Mostly the air has been cooler everyday. Oh well, I guess we all just have to deal with it and hope the sun will shine tomorrow or the next day. Hard for laundries and my business. Hehehehe!

Between my business, my kids, getting online, I find I have very little time to do something else these days. My friends are complaining that they don't get to see me anymore. They thought it's strange that I have become a "homebody" now when in the past, I was always the one asking them to go out and have fun or simply get together for some tong'its, mahjong, or drinking session. ;D It's always fun when we play coz every game, the one who wins get to add money to the "pot" so we can later buy a bottle of brandy and some tasty "pulutan" like crispy pata and some fruits. (We like to eat fruits when drinking to take away the vile taste of the wine. :P). Last night I got a call from a friend telling me to be in their house this Sunday at lunchtime or totally disappear from the face of the earth! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] Actually I missed having fun outside the house, too! But sheez..I get real busy all the time now that I don't even have time to chat in the room sometimes. My ID is online but I am somewhere else around the house or attending to customers. And Saturdays when most of my friends are off from work, I am off to my bowling games from 5 pm to 11 pm. *Sigh*. My social life is a total mess these days. Not to mention the time I spend writing my novel. I do that at night before I go to bed. But when I write, it depends on the thoughts playing in my mind at that particular time. Sometimes I got so engrossed writing about a scene that's supposed to happen in the middle of a story then I will remember "oppss, I have not written the episode for tomorrow!". But sometimes, no matter how hard I think or imagine a scene, the words just wouldn't come out right. I keep on scratching and scratching but still I can't seem to think of the write words to say. But I do not want my readers to miss a scene so sometimes I just write what comes to mind. I hope those of you that follows my story at Starlight...Starbright are enjoying the unfolding of Jenny's life in the big city. ;) I'm writing the next episode today so have fun reading....mwahhhz! :-*

I have a  bowling tournament every Saturday from 6 pm up to 11 pm. I am a club member and we hold tournaments two seasons a year. The first one is from January to June, and the next season is from July to December. All team mates are members of the club, the Saturday Bowlers Inc. and members of each team changes every season. I'm a class B player and I really don't mind it coz when you're in Class A, your team mates always expect you to score higher. I am so excited coz write now my name is on the blackboard as the highest scorer in one game in the Ladies' dept.Image I was really surprise coz in the past I have always been the "joker" in my team. Meaning I always score the lowest. I guess I get lucky sometimes. It's really exhilarating and funny at the same time. When you're a joker and you throw a ball and the pins that are left are spareable, your team members hold their breaths praying that you will get the pins. The team captain will feel something like "damn, I wish I can throw the ball in her place!" When you don't get it, they will just shake their heads coz they do not really expect you to get it. But when you are able to hit a spare, dang, you are like a hero. Your team members clap their hands and shouts with glee and give you a high five! It's funny coz when the team captain missed a spareable, he will just say he's having a bad game. When a joker missed a spareable, I have the feeling that mentally they call the person "idiot!" I always have fun when I play coz it's really like being in a clubhouse. You can drink and eat and we even have a videoke set inside so those who enjoy singing can sing, drink or eat while waiting for their turns. So sometimes I go home drunk but happy.Image That's why I always look forward to every game.  Besides, my team ranked # 5 now in the overall. First time I joined a winning team in all my 4 years as a member. Some of the members has been there since they organize the club some 20 years ago. Some members are really very old and some are even handicapped. There was this old woman in her late 60's in my team. Everytime she comes to the game, she's always accompanied by her driver or her son to carry her bowling bag and other stuffs for her. But dang it if she doesn't hit a strike or a spare most of the time! There was also this member who has his right leg in steel casing, yaikks.....he plays a good game, too! But whenever there's someone who hit the gutter, I feel so proud of myself coz I don't do that anymore! I am good now. Soon I will be one of the best!! I hold the highest score for the Ladies in  class B now, don't I? I just hope it will happen soon and not when I'm too old to even lift a ball!

Yaikks...we lost the game last Saturday. But that's okay, they are the current champions so they must be better than us. Besides, their team is an all-male group so all of them throw balls with more force and more accuracy. But it was a close fight. The first game they beat us by 37 points, second game they beat us by 13 points, so we have to surpass that total points in order to get 2 against 2. We beat them on the third game but we were not able to beat the total points they hold against us. So it's 3-1 in favor of them. From rank # we might go down a little if another team surpass our total points for that whole game. If we scored higher than all the teams except the one who beat us, then we might even get to be 2nd. ;D
Now I'm in trouble coz next Saturday is my niece's 18th birthday and her parents are giving a party at a clubhouse and I am supposed to be one of the emcee. I told my team I won't be able to play next Saturday. But they said they are going to kill me if skip a game! [smiley=bigcry.gif]. And my brother is counting on me to put on a good show for everyone. My whole clan will be there, too! They all promised to attend to make up for the fact that we only see each other on funerals. This time we all decided to get together on a happy occasion. This is so frustrating! What to do? What to do?[smiley=wall.gif] Oh well, I'll think of something.

Very funny, ladies! :P Anyway, I was able to make a deal with my team captain. If we win the first game, I will play in the second game but I will have to play a straight game. I mean finished the 10 frame without stopping to let the others play. Because ordinarily, a bowler will only play 3 frames then the next bowlers play. for the 7th and last, they play the 4 frames straight but change lanes after 7 and 8 frames. And my wish were granted, we won the first game so I was able to play the breaker for the second game and play the 10 frames non-stop. I was trying to get to the party early coz instead of the usual cotillion, they forego it and held ballroom dancing instead. My brother's wife even hired 3 DI's (dance instructors) for the event. And I so wanted to show my dancing prowess (?) so I want to be there as early as I can. [smiley=icon_dance.gif] [smiley=icon_dance.gif] [smiley=icon_dance.gif] I may not be a good singer but I am a good dancer, if I may so myself. (No violent reactions please! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]) Anyway, it was a very enjoyable evening and we all had fun coz it was strictly a family affair so with the 18 roses and 18 candles, even the youngest nieces and nephews are included, and they are as young as 3 to 9 years olds. ;D My youngest nephew who is 4 years old looked resplendid in his coat and tie dancing with his 18 year-old sister like a grown up. ;D Since the venue closes at 12 midnight, my grown up cousins and brothers and sisters went to my place for the drinking session that followed. I went to bed at about 3 a.m. and when I woke up at about 10 a.m., the whole house was a mess with people sleeping everywhere! Then they were alive again at lunchtime and at 3 pm resumed the singing and the drinking. Yaikks! I did not start drinking until 7 pm though. Why? Coz it's my house so I have to do the cooking! [smiley=bigcry.gif]. Some of my cousins has returned to the province and some has returned to their own houses this morning. Wheww!! What a weekend!

Thank you, sis Levz. ;D I have been busy these last days doing a lot of things, my club, my business and my personal life I just never had the time to write here.
Right now I am at a crossroad as to what I really want to do with my life. Because there are also the kids to consider. My business is doing good but I am simply getting tired of being tied up inside the store all day and night. And too, my two children are not interested in the business. My son wants to join the US Navy while my daughter wants a job that has something to do with computers. So sometimes when I am alone at the store. I look around and say "what am I doing here?". Especially when I get invitation to go out or have some fun somewhere and I can't leave the store coz I have no one here I can trust to leave it with. My late husband's family, except for the two who are in business in Legazpi are all in the US and the other two are in UK. I have consulted them regarding my problems. And they told me I should let the kids do what they want. But to send them to study in the US, I will need lots of money. Money that I do not have at the moment coz it's all tied up in this business. The kids' inheritance from their father will only be available to them after the death of their grandmother. Not that I wish her death, she's a good woman. So my in laws are convincing me to let the kids what they want to do with their lives. And too, I had been thinking about what I want to do with my life. Honestly, I am tired of the rat race in the city. I have a nice little cottage on the island and it's by the beach and it always gives me the peace and quiet I need. So I am thinking of selling everything, the house and the business. with all the money I can get from the sale, I can afford to send the kids to school in the US, and I can accompany them coz I have the money. Stay in the US till my tourist visa expires, visit relatives and friends, then go back to the Philippines. I have lots of sisters and brothers in Manila and I am sure they will welcome me in their houses. Then when I get bored of the city life, I will go to the island and spend a few weeks there, fresh food, fresh air. And there's a nice little fishing village where my childhood friends have raised a family so it's not as if I will be lonely there. Then go back to Manila. Isn't it going to be a grand life for me? I'm still thinking about it though. Is that what I really want to do? I don't know....yet.

Sorry if I have not been here to visit, folks. My sister in law from las vegas is staying with me for a week on her way back to vegas and she swears that if she sees me touching my computer she's going to take back all the things she bought for me. What those are? Check this out..anti-aging facial cream, anti-wrinkle facial creal, anti-aging body lotions, anti-aging foundations (for make-ups) and lots of other anti-aging formulas! Geeee...!
So I can't spend lots of time using the computer unless she sleeps or goes to the bathroom! ;D

Lol, I don't know, amiga. I just lined them all up in my dressing table and choose the one I want to use. I check the label for what is it for, but do not care about the brand name. I will not know it anyway. :P But I will check next time if there's one that fits the brand you posted. It is a brand, right? ;D

Monday afternoon while I was online, one of my bestfriends texted me and asked me to give her s.o.s. in her bowling practice for their big game tomorrow, Thursday. It must be her lucky day coz my brother who lives with me was not able to go to work that day caused by a hangover when he attended his gf's daughter's bday party in Antipolo City the night before. That means someone can take over running the store while I was out to lend help to this friend-"in distress". My friend said she's scoring embarassingly low compared to those she was practicing with. So good friend that I am, I rushed upstairs to change into some jeans and shirt and tennis shoes, passing by my brother who just got home and resting on the sofa telling him I'm going out. In record time I was out hailing a cab. Heck,  I didn't even know where the Paeng Bowling Center is, all I know is that it's located somewhere in Eastwood Mall in Libis, Quezon City. Of course she gave me the complete address, in her text message she said it's on the "3rd floor" of the mall. While talking to the driver, I pretended to know exactly where I am going. (Sometimes cab drivers takes you on a longer route just so you can pay for more taxi meters.) When he asked what route we're going to take, I told him in my best "knowledgeable" tone where to go, but of course I was discreetly reading the instructions from my celfon all the while. Hehehehe! No one is allowed to know how dumb or ignorant I am. Nyahahahahha! Anyway, since it was still early for the rush hour, we got there in record time. I saw the escalator and jumped on it. I was in a hurry coz my "friend" sounds so frantic in her text messages. "please, please witchy..helpppppppp!!" When I reached the 3rd floor, I looked around and saw that there are only shops around, now bowling alley, or any sign that sez the bowling center is that way or this way. I made a quick mental calculation, "bowling alleys at malls are always located on the top floor because it occupies a lot of space. (sounds like  science, eh?) When I first reached the 3rd floor I walked around looking for the bowling alley so I missed seeing another escalator which was partly hidden so now I'm a "little" lost and I do not want to ask anyone coz I don't want them to know that was my first time to see Eastwood. :P I traced my steps back to where the escalator  was when I first got there, and bingo...I saw the other one. I told you I'm smart! Nyahahahah! And there it was, the bowling alley. It didn't take me long to find this "friend" coz there were only few bowlers inside, and it's just a small place. In my excitement, (coz I really love to bowl), I have forgotten one important detail, and that was the fact that my "friend" was using tenpins to bowl while in my bowling club, we used duckpins, which is 3 times smaller than the regular tenpins ball. The tenpins balls has 3 or 2 holes in it while the duckpins balls don't have holes in them and it fits the palm and the 5 fingers when you hold them in your hands. Of course everyone has a technique on how to best hold the ball to strike more pins if not all. While in the tenpins, wether you like it or not, you have to insert your fingers into the holes to be able to throw them properly. So I was in an embarassing position coz I have never held a tenpin ball in my hand before. At last it was my turn to play. My "friend" was considerate enough to ask if I want to use a lighter ball. Heck! I didn't even know there are heavy ones and lighter ones! Nyahahahha! So of course I chose the lighter balls. I felt very nervous standing there. I imagine the ball carrying me with it as it spins when I throw it. Coz when I inserted my fingers into the holes, it got stuck!! And I knew people behind me are waiting to see if I can do it. Finally I was able to fix my dilemna and threw my first tenpin ball ever! And what do you know!!! It was a strike!! Nyahahhahaha! Kidding! It was a gutterball of course! Wahhhh!! And as we played some more, my "friend" beat me everytime! Talk about giving SOS! Nyahahhaha! Anyway, I got lots of consolations. First I was able to see my "friend" again in person. Second, she took me to dinner afterwards, at a japanese restaurant. And third....now I have experienced playing tenpins bowling.

By the way...wanna know the name of this "friend" I was talking about? It's none other than CHANTIQ! Nyahahahha!

What are friends for, amiga? hehehehe! I helped you build your confidence but mine slipped a knot. Dang, I have been playing for 4 years and I never had a single trophy. Not only that, it was your first time to play and you even beat my score! How embarassing! I have two remaining games in my own bowling tournament. And right now I am holding the rank in highest pinning both men and ladies division. The award will be given to the bowler who has scored the highest one set of game without having a strike or a spare. That means the balls are mostly breaks-which means being able to hit all the balls in three throws). The highest should be 100 pin for the 30 balls in 10 frames. But of course it's impossible to get that high. Mine is only 96 and they all said it will be hard to beat already. Last season the highest was only 92 and he has retained his hold on it till the end of the season. Actually I am not that good, I just got lucky that one Saturday. Coz in the overall in the ladies dept, of the 36 lady bowlers, I rank # 22! Don't laugh or I will turn you into a ball! [smiley=furious3.gif] I did admit I am a Class B bowler. :P But I have a good team now. We are in the # 4, and we only have 2 more games to go then it's awarding time. What could have happened in the remaining two games, right? Hehehehe! Today is one of that two games, so wish me luck, loonies. Mwahhhh!

All Soul's Day has always been a very busy occasion for my family. We really have a big family and we are close to each other. We always make it a point to visit all our dead family's graves. But we always have troubles with scheds because they are all buried all around Manila. And from opposite ends, too! We started with my father's grave inside the Fort Bonifacio coz my dad was an army man. We went there early morning to avoid the rush of people who usually crowd the cemetery on the actual day. So when we got there, there are still very few people around and we were able to park the car exactly beside his grave. I guess we're lucky that his is not located in the middle of the cemetery away from the road. The weather proved to be cooperative as the typhoon came a day before. So the ground's dry. We stayed there the whole day and came home when the place started to get crowded.
Next stop was my brother's which is located in Bulacan. We left home early coz at 9 am, they will be closing down the road that leads to the memorial park to avoid traffic and have the other motorists take a re-route which is going around the whole place. ::) And they will not also allow vehicle inside the cemetery which would be a problem to us as it would be a long walk and we are carrying a lot of things with us, tents, tables, chairs, coolers, baskets of foodstuffs, etc, etc. It was superhot the whole day and we kept fanning ourselves. And of course the place was already crowded. You can see sea of tents around the area and it's almost impossible to see the grave if you're not familiar where it is located. In the afternoon the weather cooled some so we thought we'd stay until midnight when everyone else has left to avoid traffics. But at 8 pm, it started to rain. Just drizzles at first, then it grew heavy that we were forced to stay under the tents. Worse was, the rain didn't let up for an hour and it started flooding the ground where we were! And the wind blow so hard that we all got wet even if we were all standing under the tents. So we just put the small kids in our middle to cover them from the rain. But it didnt stop so those who wants to take a bath started gathering the everything to put them inside the van, and used umbrellas for the kids. But there are some who can't get wet so the boys suggested that they will just carry the tent as it is, with the people under it and used it instead like an umbrella. So there they were, 4 guys carrying each post walking towards the van with the people under it marching alongside to avoid getting wet. Dang, the people we passed were clapping their hands and shouting in amusements! Hahahaha!
Next stop tomorrow, it's my grandparents at the Manila Memorial Park in Paranaque. Then my uncle who died two months ago and he's buried at the Himlayang Pilipino in Tandang Sora. Well, at least there will be few people now at the cemetery.

Dratt! More and more I am feeling my age everyday! Where have all the years gone by?
I remember when my kids were just that, kids, children. I always have to look after them personally because they don't listen to any yaya. Sometimes they get me too exasperated that I wish they would grow up very soon so I do not have to always watch out for them that I can't do anything else like going out with friends and having fun. Because if I leave them to the care of anyone, they will not sleep till I come home. But now that they both have grown up as teenagers, I missed those days when I used to see them all the time. Now they have their own sets of friends that I seldom see them both at home. They only come home to eat, sleep and change clothes. ::) My daughter is 20 and my son is 16. When they were in highschool, I always wait for the time when they would be in the afternoon class instead of morning classes coz if there's one thing I hate, that's waking up early! >:( Now they both have  free sched...I don't have to wake up early, but I can't force them to sleep early! >:( they always reason out that 10 hours of sleep is enough for them. Dratt! Now I wish they were still in the morning classes.
Oh well, I guess I can't have it all. At least they are still good kids and are both doing good in school and we are still close to each other. But really, single parenting to two teenagers makes me get older everyday!

The new typhoon Reming was supposed to hit us this morning at precisely 6 a.m. but for some reason it changed its course and went the other way far from Manila. I am not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. Why? Well, if any of you are aware of it, there is a shortage of water supplies around Manila. There are some areas here where residents buy water from water tanks that pass around their areas. So the typhoon, as bad as its name implies, could have been of good use to us. There is a big chance that it will fill our water reservoirs here with enough water for them to supply all the areas that has water shortages. Actually this is good for my business. Because right now, there are already a number of water store that has closed down because they do not have water in their areas. So these last few days, my store sales has gone higher everyday. But I do not want to be totally selfish as to only think of myself in this bad times. I feel for them too. Besides, if this keeps up, who knows? Maybe one day I won't be able to supply them with water also. Can you imagine this? The Manila Water System said they will have to limit the water supply and the shortage might last until the next rainy season. And that is in June next year, the earliest! Wow! What a bummer!
I just hope that the situation will improve soon. Otherwise, we are in big trouble!
As bad as it is, I wish the typhoon did hit us. At least there is something good that will come out of it.

I feel sad for what happened to one of my good friend in and out of the chatroom, and of course everyone's favorite girl, Cel aka Be_Cool, aka Maria_Cel..etc..etc. She's from the Bicol region and her area was hit real bad by typhoon reming, internationally known as typhoon durian. There were so many dead, wounded, and missing bodies caused by the mudflow and boulders that flowed from the volcano. On local TV stations, I get goosebumps everytime I see those dead people lining up the street waiting to be identified by their relatives. Some have already been buried in a mass burial without having been identified by relatives because they were already starting to smell. But more dead bodies were being dug out from under the river of mud. There were only very few survivors. Half of one village was buried in mud up to the roof. I saw one family tried to dig up their house. First it showed the roof, then the windows, and I am sure it will take them a long time to get the whole house out as they shovel mud after mud. It was like digging treasures. Only they were not looking for gold. They want to find bodies of dead family members to give them a proper burial. And they were crying as they kept on shoveling mud. As of this writing, hundreds of dead bodies were already being brought to the nearby funeral homes and they were laid on the ground in cadaver bags, even babies. Some just lay there without anyone  claiming them. Their families might be among those who perished, that's why. The whole region do not have electric power and commercial establishments like banks and gas stations were also damaged by the typhoon so they have remained close. Some roads are still closed to motorists because they were still covered with mud.
And to add to the confusions and grief of the people, the other day, some heartless evil spread the news of a forthcoming Tsunami that panicked the residents and had them trekking up the long way up to the mountain to a higher ground at the breaking of dawn. They later found out that it was a false alarm!
Cel is appealing to all her friends who can spare some extra cash to help her in this time of needs in her life. The roof of their house collapsed and the strong wind and heavy rain tore into pieces everything inside their house. They were only able to save a few belongings as they were not expecting it to happen. Their house have always stood its ground in the past. It was her birthday the next day after the storm and she said it will be her most memorable birthday. I have sent her some help but I know she needs more help. So I am appealing to you dear friends to help her with whatever you can spare. Thank you.

Christmas is just around the corner. But as festive as the occasion is, some can't help but get the feeling of depressions at the thought of the holiday. Because christmas is usually for kids. And I think they enjoy more unwrapping presents than what is actually inside those boxes. It is also our tradition here to welcome friends and visitors and bring them to a table laden with foods or delicacies on Dec. 25.
My late husband and I both have big families. In my family alone there are 24 kids, from 8 months old to 20 years old.  Over at my husband's family...there are at least 16, including nephews and nieces by cousins and brothers and sisters.
Not to mention godchildren, of course.
So I dreaded the coming of the x'mas day. Nyahahaha! I will be poorer than before when the year ends. Hehehehe!

That is very sweet of you, bello! Mwahhhh!! Thanks.

I finally had that x'mas party for my bowling club last Saturday and in spite of all the serious of unlucky incidents I suffered the whole day, it turned out well. I enjoyed it a lot but real sorry that I did not win any of the major prizes at the raffles held. There were a refrigerator, gas range, microwave oven, and 5 cash envelopes with P3,000.00 in each. But I did win a prize at one of the parlor games. It was a game called "Trip to heaven", I think. There were 12 chairs with men sitting on it. And 13 women who were supposed to sit on one of the men's lap when the music stops. If a man were grabbed by two women, he's out, and the woman who occupies more of the "seat" gets to win. I made it to the end coz I move quickly than the others. They have inhibitions about grabbing a man by the neck to secure her position while she sits on the lap of any of those men. Well, I think because most of them are married or involved with someone and was a little shy. But not the witch! Hehehehe! I grabbed each men as fast as I can and sit on their laps as firmly as I could, though I'm the only one wearing a formal dress. They all came wearing slacks or jeans with sequenced top. One of the men said I almost crushed his "junior" coz I was so rough! Nyahahahaha! At the end of the game, they were all clapping their hands for me and my partner, the last of the two men left and they were all teasing me that I won because I am starved for a man to hug! Nyahahahhaha!

I also received my first bowling trophy that night in the "Highest Pinning-Ladies Division. I am posting my pic at the photo thread. Hehehehe!

Christmas is over here. How fast time flies! Just a few days ago we were all excited for x'mas day to finally arrive. Now it has come and go and everything is back to normal here except for x'mas decors and lights that still litter houses. It's like as if nothing significant ever happened.
On the eve of the 24th, we held our traditional family x'mas party. It's strictly for the immediate family members, no cousins, no aunts. Just us, my brothers and sisters and their wives/husbands and their kids. I have 2 brothers and 6 sisters, by the way. It ws always held in my house because my place is the most accessible to everyone coming from different parts of Manila. Yes, we are all here now. We had exchange gifts, parlor games for the kids and the usual distribution of gifts. All the parents has gifts for all the kids, and we all have gifts for my Mom. For the exchange gifts, we put a number on all the boxes, then i wrote their numbers in a piece of paper then made everyone pick a #. We also put the name on whose box it was. Everyone also brought a dish or two. I just baked a macaroni salad, then mango creepe and marinated pork and chicken for the barbecue. I also have chicken pastel. Then I made chicken and beef empanada. I chose foodstuff that do not require much cooking because my sister-in-law was bringing some  crabs and shrimps and she wants me to cook it for her because she's going to be very busy but she still want some seafoods on the table. I agreed readily of course coz they are my family's favorite food and they like the way I cook it. Shrimp is boiled first in 7-up and then fry in butter earlier. The crabs, (dratt, they were as big as my face!), I cut them in half each then sauteed it in garlic, onions then either oyster sauce or tomato sauce and hot sauce. Then I garnished it with onion leaves. It makes my mouth water just thinking of it. Hehehehe!
Because my small house cannot have a sleeping accomodations for 45 persons, we slept in shifts.  [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] It's just as well because they were drinking and doing karaoke the whole night until the wee hours of the morning. So when the children woke up, their parents went to bed. But of course for a few hours only. Some left for their houses just this morning. Can you imagine the mess they made in my house? Never-ending dishwashing, giftwraps all over the house, children running everywhere, babies crawling, their mothers shouting at them. Yaikks! Normally there are only 4 of us here at home and I don't even get to see my kids together. One of them is always out. All of a sudden the house is full of people!

Okay, final report, refrigerator is empty, table is empty, house is empty, my pocket emptier, too! Nyahahahaha! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] But at least everyone's happy. [smiley=icon_dance.gif] [smiley=icon_dance.gif] [smiley=icon_dance.gif]

Thank you, Tinatinz..how thoughtful of you. Mwahh! :-*

The holiday season is finally over here and classes has resumed. Thank God for that! At least now I can have some peace and quiet around the house! During the school's x'mas vacation, my house is always full of nephews and nieces that I have to cook a lot everyday!  Not to mention that either the TV or the stereo was always blaring most of the time. Good thing my computer is located outside the living room, it's outside the store door. Otherwise I think I would have gone deaf by now! Even my housemaid wisely took a vacation the whole season. Hahahaha! But I draw the line at fighting with them for the use of my computer! They can only use this if it's free. But if I am using it, no one's supposed to touch it. My phone too is always occupied, good thing I have incoming calls feature so customers still can get through. Right now we're busy for the preparations of our Sto. Nino Feast Day on January 23. I have blogged about this in the previous years so I won't describe it here anymore.

And I want to give special thanks to those who continually followed the romance novel I am currently writing under Fine Arts with the working title of "Starlight....Starbright..." Everytime I post a new page, I also check the number of readers I get and I can't believe how many I have now. You have all become my inspirations and I promise that I will do my best to make you fall in love some more with Eric and Jenny. Thank you,my friends!! :-*

Last Saturday, I went out with some of the girls from Asian connections 3, kissa, musicgirl, mandy, her bf, and may. We met up with Maurizio_wolf, he's in the Philippines right now visiting his gf. The gf doesn't chat though. Anyway, we had a wonderful time at the cowboy grill in Malate and went home at 4 a.m. Then yesterday, we met again and went bowling at SM North, the mall near me. We were the same group and after that we had dinner at the Saisaki restaurant at West Avenue.
I don't know if anyone of you is familiar with maurizio but I do know that he comes to room 1 also. I used to goof around with him calling him a retard, a pervert...blah..blah. I was not trying to insult him of course, I was just being playful with him. Because sometimes he act weird. Anyway, the first time we met him in his hotel room and I was introduced to him as wicked witch, he said "oh it's you!" Then he hugged me like a good friend. I hugged him in return and said "so you are maurizio, you look normal in person!" [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]. But he is really very different from what he is inside the chatroom. He seems to be so in love with his gf. He is very loving and affectionate, always hugging her, kissing her face or the top of her head, awww..how sweet! Anyway, that's what kept me busy over the weekend. I hope everyone is having a nice day or good evening or whatever. Mwahhh!

awww, sorry bethy, I haven't been visiting my blog for some time now. But thanks for dropping by blog and I am happy to have you back with us. Mwahhh!

I want to apologize also for not visiting the forum for quite a long time now coz I have been busy looking for a new place to stay. I have done a tremendous step into reshaping my life since I have decided to move on after the death of my dear husband. I have sold my house and lot including the water store. The business is good, but I am not happy anymore running it. I get no help from my two children because they are not interested in it. My daughter is into computer and my son wants to join the US Navy. So what's the use of keeping it? It has become a hobby to me, not so much as to earn a living but just to have something I invested my money in. Everyday I treat it as something I can pass the time with and earn some money at the same time. But it has gotten to the point that it bores me already, sitting there doing nothing everyday except get online. I have missed out on a lot of important occasions coz no one else will take over for me even for just a day and i can't trust anyone in my employ. They will rob me blind if I so much as turn my back on them. Heck, I can't even stay long inside the bathroom coz I want to be the one to answer the phone to take customers' order coz if I let the helpers do it, they will not write it down at the order ledger and when i am not looking they will deliver it without telling me and pocket the money. Or sometimes, customers walk in and buy water if I am not around, they will not record the sales. Oh I have ways to find out if they are cheating me or not coz I have water meters that record exactly how many gallons of water has been dispatched everyday. But what am i going to do if I found out they are cheating me....fire all of them? That would even be harder for me to do coz my customers will suffer if I do that. So I came to this decision to sell everything and start a new life.
So after the sell, I had been busy packing things, giving away those I don't need or don't want to bring with me. And believe me, there are lots of them stack anywhere inside the house! I never thought a small house like mine can store so many useless junks! Anyway, I have to have the phone company cut my internet connections too. That's the first reason why I seldom go online, I only use internet cafes and I used the one at the SM shopping mall coz those in the neighborhood has bad internet connections. I am moving to a new apartment but it won't be vacated till the first week of April and even after that, the owner has to have it repaired and re-painted. Right now I am renting a room at my sister's house near my old place. Some of my things are stored in my other sisters and brother's place.
There, now you all know the reason why I am gone most of the time. But soon I will be back to going online regularly. Thanks, friends. Mwahhh!

Wow! I can't believe it has been a long time since I last posted something here. I do want to apologize for that. It's just that my mind and time has been preoccupied these days about a lot of things. First there's the fixing of the apartment I am going to move in to, then there's my upcoming marriage for which I have to take care of the necessary paperworks here since Jack is still in the US, then there has been lots of occassions in my family and friends' families that there was never a week that I am not attending some baptismal party, or birthday party or wedding or a trip somewhere. Geez...I never had enough sleep for weeks now!
And yes, don't be shock. I am getting married next month to a wonderful man from Fayetville, North Carolina. Jack and I met at room 3 more than 4 years ago. We became fast friends right away. He said he like the fact that I can be funny and charming at the same time.  ;)
Anyway, I was still married at that time and he was with a relationship with some other Pinay at that time. But being both taken, we didn't have much time to talk to each other more in private. Whenever we talk we it would be about common subjects. We lost contact for a while coz I stayed at AC1 for a while he remained at AC3. Once in a while we would pm and catch up on each other's life. He was genuinely sad for me when my husband died two years ago. And I learned too, that he was with another relationship because the first one didn't work out.
I have never imagined Jack in the line of someone I can have a relationship with. I think mainly it's because he has always been with someone else and I was not looking. More than a year after my husband's death, I jokingly ask him to introduce me to someone who is not into chatting. And he took me seriously coz one day I received a postal mail from a friend of his. But dratt! Jack took me literally when I said someone who is not into chatting coz the guy he introduced to me doesn't even know how to use computers! At that time, Jack was already having problems with his 2nd pinay gf. I sympathized with him of course and told him to hang in there. And at the same time, I beg him to teach his friend of the use of computers so we can at least communicate online. Because in the course of three months, we have only exchanged one letter from each other! The first one he sent got lost in the mail, he said. Then the next one (the one i first received) took the long way and I got it after 5 weeks! Jack promised to teach Ken (his friend) how to use the computer. They are workmates, by the way. He said Ken asked him about me almost everyday. ;D

Okay, I will continue this story tomorrow. :P

Dratt..I have done nothing but apologize lately! But I can't help it. I am so very very busy these days with all the preparations for my wedding to Jack and trying to make my new apartment comfortable enough for Jack.
Anyway, he has left the US this last night but called me this morning to say their flight from Chicago to Hongkong would be delayed by 3 hours. So they are going to miss the 7 pm plane that will take them to Manila. So instead of 8 pm, he and his friend, a Filipina whose husband is a friend of Jack will be arriving here at 11 pm tonight. He said they will try to call me from Hongkong. I hope he can.
Jack and I will be married in a civil ceremony on May 22, at the aberdeen court in Quezon Avenue, the same venue where the reception will be held right after the wedding. We are going to have all the trimmings of any traditional wedding, except for a bridal entourage, that is. It was supposed to be a church wedding but the parish where I am a member was asking for a lot of requirements which is needed they say, if one of the spouse is a foreigner. And to be able to fulfill all those requirements, Jack needed to stay here for at least a month. But since he was able to only get 15 days, we have no choice but to be married civilly. We have invited all out chat friends since jack and i met online. I wish all my friends can be with us, though.

I met up with a couple of chatters the other day because Levy or Cinderella was here in Manila for a couple of days before she flies back to Netherland. She treated us to dinner then we went to a bar afterwards. Yvone was there, along with Meyie, musicgirl, earthling, sweet_jhazmin, dox, and paul (tiredofbeingmessedaround). We had a wonderful time seeing each other again and meeting Levy for the first time. I hope to see them again soon.

At long last, the wedding is over. It was such a wonderful evening for everyone because they all enjoyed the occassion. There were more or less 20 chatters from both ac1 and ac3 who came to share with us this special moments of jack's life and mine. We also received wonderful gifts from friends and they were so beautifully wrapped that it was almost a sin to tear those wrappers! We received all sorts of gifts, rice cooker, oventoaster, figurines, microwave oven, sets of bowls, sets of plates, sets of glasses, but they naughty ones gave me several sets of negligee and skimpy nightwears! :o
There were lots of dancing that followed afterwards because I hired 3 DI's (dancing instructors-1 female and two males) so everyone really enjoyed the night which started at 6 pm and ended at 12 midnight. Now I am officially married. Hehehehe!

We got home from our Hongkong trip for our honeymoon May 26. And after that, we had been going out a lot with some friends and family. We went to Disneyland but I am disappointed with what I saw. I thought it would be grander than disneyland in Japan since it was newly built. Take for example their pirates haven.....have you ever heard of pirates crossing rivers and battling with crocodiles? But I enjoy visiting several souvenir shops. Then we went to Ocean Park. Now that's one park we enjoyed tremendously. The kids enjoyed those fast-rides but no matter how much they dared me, they didn't get me to ride in any of those. Heck, just the cable car rides to get to the highland was enough to set my nerves on edge! it was at least 2 kilometers long and too high for my peace of mind! I felt dizzy looking down! Yaikks! We went to see the aquariums where there are a thousand species of sea animals and they are all amazing! We also watched the dolphin show.
Jack left this morning via Japan. He didn't want to go yet but his job is waiting for him, not to mention his father whom he was not able to call while he was here. He said this was the most wonderful vacation he had ever had here in the Philippines, and he had been here 3 times in the past. He left a happy man. *winks*

Goodluck to all that's to be done and take it easy...you'll be with him in no time. God bless you and your family.  :-*  :)

Thank you, sis Levz.

Well, my life now has gone back to "normal". No more frenzy time running here and there for errands that must be accomplished on time. Hehehe! Now Jack and I are back to talking online everyday and I say it's more interesting and exciting this time because we have lots to talk about. He's waiting for me to submit all the papers required of me so he can start applying for my visa. The most important of which is the marriage certificate. When I went there last time to get it, I had to return it to them because they misspelled Jack's name. Instead of J"A"ckey, they typed J"O"ckey. And for status, they assumed he's divorced because he's an old man. I guess they were not able to decipher Jack's handwriting on the application form which was "single". I need to have it revised because if that's the case, the USCIS will be looking for his divorce papers, which he doesn't have of course. We are both very impatient about the whole process because Jack wanted to start the proceedings right away.

All in all, I am a happy witch these days. No more business to take care of which always give me headaches and never allows me to enjoy life at all. Take care everyone.

I am still busy trying to accomplish a lot of paper works that I need to send to Jack. He needs the when he applies for my petition. But the thing is, all kinds of incidents are corroborating with each other in giving me a headache that sometimes I get lazy just thinking of all the things I have to do that day. So far I got my new passport now using Jack's name. I need to send him a zerox copy of that. But they took my original copy of the marriage certificate so now   I have to get more copies from the National Statistics Office. I will need to send Jack some, too because they may require a certified copy of it at the USCIS. And the line there is always long and I can't go early because my kids goes to school in the morning, both college now. Oh well....maybe I will have the patience tomorrow to fall in with the long lines of applicants. ::)

I was overwhelmed by their eagerness to accept me and lots has already added me. Now I got more pages to visit aside from replying to those quick comment and blog comments I get from my page. I get so busy that I seldom get time to drop by any chatroom. But that's ok, I was told that I didn't miss anything worth missing anyway. Hehehe!
And too, I met up with some of these "new" friends recently and really enjoyed the time I spent with them. I have posted some pics at the Perfect Picture thread for you guys to see.
;)
I am still busy trying to take care of paperworks at my end so I can send them all to Jack at the same time. He's getting impatient because he wanted me there right away. I love the idea too, but sometimes I just get too lazy to do anything in a day, especially if I have to get dress and go out.
Anyway, I have just finished sending all the needed documents to Jack (my birth certificate, marriage contract, copy of my new passport with my new last name in it, the birth certificate of my late husband, and signed forms. When Jack gets them, he can start the ball rolling and maybe he will stop nagging at me everyday! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]
The kids are fine, too. Both in college now and going to the same school, San Juan de Letran in Intramuros, Manila. My son is taking up Hotel and Restaurant Management while my daughter will be graduating this year in an Information Technology course.

I am not doing anything right now, just sitting my butt here waiting for things to happen. No, job and no money, that's what I am these days! [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif] [smiley=roll.gif]

Anyway, thanks for dropping by and reading this short tale of the wicked witch. I hope to post more in the next few days.

Oh I forgot to mention my bowling tournament. It opened the second conference for this year last July 7. So far we have had 3 sets of games already and losing the last two. Yup, we won the first match. But I am not worried yet. We still have 14 games to go. *winks*

Wow...long time again since I have written anything here.

Well, if you want to know I don't have anything yet to share about Jack's petition for me. They all say it takes time. I just hope it will not take that long. I might grow bored waiting and decide instead to go somewhere else. hehehe!

I had a busy day this weekend meeting friends and going out with the kids.
I never realized that living alone without a maid and only with your children can be this messy. Dratt...I have to rush home all the time to cook for the kids, iron and wash clothes, clean the house...etc..etc..
I am contemplating on hiring a maid again or go crazy!

I have invited some new friends to join us here at the Forum. I hope they will find this Forum and exciting place to pass the time. I am featuring one at the Hotseat Celebrity thread and I hope to feature more each week. I also asked sis Levy to make the intro since RJ can't be found anywhere. I have reported the matter to the Yahoo Police but they advised me that my life would be better without him...so I guess it's all for the good. Nyahahaha!

These are all folks and I promise to write longer next time. mwahhh!

My days are so ordinary I do not have any inclination to write anything about it. My focus right now is my 9-month old granddaughter who is the apple of all our eyes at the moment. She looks more and more like her dad, nothing from my her mom Sheena. I never thought I could ever love someone who didn't come from me this much. But I do, I simply adore the little imp!
I am glad too, that people seems to still come around the Forum every now and then, although I wish they would come here more often. I missed the good old days. Even the "fights" are worth the fun. Hehehe! Good day everyone.
