Title: Hardcover or Paperback? Post by mylane on Mar 13th, 2004, 11:46am Both are the same in content, just that some people want either one or don't really care. How about you? :) |

Title: Re: Hardcover or Paperback? Post by madd on Mar 13th, 2004, 11:51am I will take either one, but if the book is available in both, I will take hardcover. This way it protects the pages when its closed and easier to hold it open on the table or bed. |

Title: Re: Hardcover or Paperback? Post by mylane on Mar 15th, 2004, 9:53am When i bring it with me anywhere i prefer paperback, they are easier to store and carry around. But for books that are just for home I prefer the hardcover ones because they look good especially the jackets design. |

Title: Re: Hardcover or Paperback? Post by need4speed8dalejr on May 19th, 2004, 2:44am Softcover books are easier to drag around, and if I don't want to keep them I will always buy softcover. However if I know that I will keep them, I will shell out the extra money and get the book in hardcover. The do look better on the bookshelf and last longer because they don't tend to fall all over the place like softcover books do. |

Title: Re: Hardcover or Paperback? Post by kianna_andrea on Aug 12th, 2004, 9:17am Both..... paperbacks for my novels, for it's lightweight and it can fit easily in my bag so it's easier to carry around and it doesn't take a lot of space when storing it in your bookshelf.... but when it comes to my fave books, the ones I treasure and will treasure forever I would go with the hardcover ones... (my HP books are in hardcover from 1 to 5 ;D) for several reasons: 1.) they're more elegant and more precious to look at 2.) your friends will have second thoughts on borrowing them ;D for they know they're a bit costly, and even if they do borrow it, they will surely take good care of the book.... 3.) just like what the others said, they lasts longer even if you read them like a hundred times... |

Title: Re: Hardcover or Paperback? Post by nOrKAy on Nov 23rd, 2005, 3:30pm If I like the book very much and I am a collector of the author's book, I get the hardcover, especially if the book is really thick. They look good when displayed on shelves. ;D |

Title: Re: Hardcover or Paperback? Post by mrs_nj on Dec 18th, 2008, 3:55am I prefer paperback so it is easier for me to hold and it is lighter on my handbag. For reference books I prefer hardcover...for ex. gardening books, sewing...hardcover is the best for me. |

I read in bed, Mrs NJ so paperback is quite ideal for me, too. But I found out that if I sit up in bed while reading, hardcover is ideal to prop up on my knees or on a pillow. |
