Its hard to tell if ure really about to be kicked to the curb or if you're just being paranoid....These are some signs saying "Start Packing"  ;D

Your boss starts breathing down ure neck or giving you a hard time......

What it means?***  She may be trying to get u to quit before she has to fire you..

The Signal

The head honcho is late for a meeting she's set up w u and never asks what youre working on anymore.

What it means?***  She no longer considers you a key part of the staff.

The Signal

You stop recieving e-mail updates or invitatations to team meetings.

What it means?***  You're being squeezed out of the loop.

The Signal

Your workload lessens (and its not jhust a slow period)

What it means?***  YOur superiors could be preparing by transferring some of your tasks to other employees.

The Signal

What it means?***  She's feeling uncomfortable becuz she knows that she's goint to have to let you go soon.

I think the Best Career Tip I can give is to always be planning for the future, and plan several steps ahead if possible.

If your working in a job you don't like or in a job you really really like, but are working for someone else, (and therfore making them rich)....then you should be planning a way to start a business of your own.

I know several people who took crappy jobs for low pay, just to get some experience and to learn a few "on-the-job" skills. They later took those skills and improved upon them with some University classes which helped them to open their own companies. They planned ahead...they mapped out step by step a way to reach their ultimate goal, which was working for themselves in a sector they liked. They also made back-up plans for each step just in case Plan A didn't happen. Like if your rejected for one school or job, you have to plan ahead so that you won't be crushed when things don't go your way.

The comment I hear most from people (when asked what they want to do in life when they grow up) is..."I wanna be RICH! Drive Cool Cars & Date Hot Chicks!!" Clearly these people have no plan...or even an idea of how to go about attaining those loftly goals. lmao!! And sometimes these people are not young either, more like 30..and still no plan or clue.

One Step at a Time Baby...One Step at a Time. [smiley=book.gif]

Title: 10 ways to get along with people
Post by Gracia on Aug 14th, 2006, 5:06am

1.   Keep skid chains on your tongue; always say less than you
think.  Cultivate a low, persuasive voice. How you say it counts more than what you say.

2.  Make promises sparingly, and keep them faithfully, no matter
what it costs.

3.  Never let an opportunity pass to say a kind and encouraging
word to or about somebody. Praise good work, regardless of who did it. If criticism is  needed, criticize helpfully, never spitefully.

4.  Be interested in others, their pursuits, their work, their
homes and families. Make merry with those who rejoice; with those who weep, mourn.  Let everyone you meet, however humble, feel that you regard him as a person of importance.

5.  Be cheerful. Don't burden or depress those around you by
dwelling on your  minor aches and pains and small disappointments. Remember, everyone is carrying some kind of a load.

6.  Keep an open mind. Discuss but don't argue. It is a mark of
a superior  mind to be able to disagree without being disagreeable.

7.  Let your virtues, if you have any, speak for themselves.
Refuse to talk of another's vices. Discourage gossip. It is a waste of valuable time and can be extremely destructive.

8.  Be careful of another's feelings. Wit and humor at the other
person's  expense are rarely worth it and may hurt when least expected.

9.  Pay no attention to ill-natured remarks about you. Remember,
the person  who carried the message may not be the most accurate reporter in the world.   Simply live so that nobody will believe them. Disordered nerves and bad  digestion are a common cause of backbiting.

10. Don't be too anxious about the credit due you. Do your best,
and be  patient. Forget about yourself, and let others "remember."

Success is much  sweeter that way.
