Title: Helpful Tips and Infos
Post by gracia on Sep 10th, 2005, 5:12am
Important Recall Notice

Regardless of make or year, all units known as "Human Beings" are being
recalled by the Manufacturer. This is due to a malfunction in the
original prototype units, code named "Adam" and "Eve," resulting in the
reproduction of the same defect in all subsequent units. This defect is
technically termed, "Serious Internal Non-morality," but more commonly
known as "SIN."

Some of the symptoms of the SIN defect:
[a] Loss of direction
[b] Lack of peace and joy
[c] Depression
[d] Foul vocal emissions
[e] Selfishness
[f] Ingratitude
[g] Fearfulness
[h] Rebellion
[i] Jealousy

The Manufacturer, Jesus Christ, with his authorized repair centers, is
providing factory authorized repair service free of charge to correct
the SIN defect. He has most generously offered to bear the entire burden
of the staggering cost of these repairs.

To repeat, there is no fee required. The number to call for repair in
all areas is: P-R-A-Y-E-R.

Once connected, please upload the burden of SIN through the REPENTANCE
procedure. Next, download ATONEMENT process into the heart component of
the human unit.

For those who think they are beyond repair, please go to the nearest
help center, also known as "confessional," near you and look for
Christ's authorized representative. Please follow the directives given
to you by the representative in order to be repaired.

No matter how big or small the SIN defect is, Christ, also through his
authorized representatives, will replace it with:

[a] Love
[b] Joy
[c] Peace
[d] Kindness
[e] Goodness
[f] Faithfulness
[g] Gentleness
[h] Patience
[I] Self-control

Please see the operating manual, HOLY BIBLE and the CATECHISM OF THE
CATHOLIC CHURCH, for further details on the use of these fixes.

As an added upgrade, the Manufacturer has made available to all repaired
units a facility enabling direct monitoring and assistance from the
resident Maintenance Technician, the Holy Ghost. Repaired units need
only make Him welcome, and He will take up residence on the premises.

WARNING: Continuing to operate a human being unit without corrections
voids the Manufacturer's warranty, exposing the unit to dangers and
problems too numerous to list and will ultimately result in the human
unit being incinerated.

Thank you for your immediate attention.

God bless!

Title: One Liners about God
Post by gracia on Sep 10th, 2005, 5:15am
1. Give God what's right -- not what's left.

     2. Man's way leads to a hopeless end -- God's way leads to an endless
     hope.

     3. A lot of kneeling will keep you in good standing.

     4. He who kneels before God can stand before anyone.

     5. In the sentence of life, the devil may be a comma--but never let
     him be the period.

     6. Don't put a question mark where God puts a period.

     7. Are you wrinkled with burden? Come to the church for a face-lift.

     8. When praying, don't give God instructions - just report for duty.

     9. Don't wait for six strong men to take you to church.

     10. We don't change God's message -- His message changes us.

     11. The church is prayer-conditioned.

     12. When God ordains, He sustains.

     13. WARNING: Exposure to the Son may prevent burning.

     14. Plan ahead -- It wasn't raining when Noah built the ark.

     15. Most people want to serve God, but only in an advisory position.

     16. Suffering from truth decay? Brush up on your Bible.

     17. Exercise daily -- walk with the Lord.

     18. Never give the devil a ride -- he will always want to drive.

     19. Nothing else ruins the truth like stretching it.

     20. Compassion is difficult to give away because it keeps coming
     back.

     21. He who angers you controls you.

     22. Worry is the darkroom in which negatives can develop.

     23. Give Satan an inch &     he'll be a ruler.

     24. Be ye fishers of men -- you catch them &     He'll clean them ..

     25. God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called.

     26. Read the Bible -- It will scare the hell out of you.

Title: TODAY I WILL.....
Post by gracia on Sep 12th, 2005, 4:06am
TODAY I WILL...

TODAY I WILL NOT STRIKE BACK:
If someone is rude, if someone is impatient, if someone is
unkind... I will not respond in like manner.

TODAY I WILL ASK GOD TO BLESS MY "ENEMY":
If I come across someone who treats me harshly or unfairly, I will quietly ask GOD to bless that individual. I understand the "enemy" could be a family member, neighbor, co-worker or stranger.

TODAY I WILL BE CAREFUL ABOUT WHAT I SAY:
I will carefully choose and guard my words being certain that I do not spread gossip.

TODAY I WILL GO THE EXTRA MILE:
I will find ways to help share the burden of another person.

TODAY I WILL FORGIVE:
I will forgive any hurts or injuries that come my way.

TODAY I WILL DO SOMETHING NICE FOR SOMEONE, BUT I WILL DO IT SECRETLY:
I will reach out anonymously and bless the life of another.

TODAY I WILL TREAT OTHERS THE WAY I WISH TO BE TREATED:
I will practice the golden rule -- do unto others as you would have them do unto you -- with everyone I encounter.

TODAY I WILL RAISE THE SPIRIT OF SOMEONE WHO IS DISCOURAGED:
My smile, my words, my expression of support, can make the
difference to someone who is wrestling with life.

TODAY I WILL NURTURE MY BODY:
I will eat less; I will eat only healthy foods. I will thank GOD for my body.

TODAY I WILL GROW SPIRITUALLY:
I will spend a little more time in prayer today: I will begin reading something spiritual or inspirational today; I will find a quiet place at some point during this day and listen to GOD's voice.

 TODAY I WILL...

Title: 7 ways to be happy
Post by gracia on Sep 14th, 2005, 4:59am
1. Accept That You Deserve To Be Happy.

If you don't think that you deserve to be happy, then no wonder you're not. The  messages  you  give  yourself  determine what direction your life will
take.  If  you  are telling yourself that you are unworthy or don't deserve happiness, then how can you expect to be happy?

2. Accept Who You Are.

Being happy today is accepting who you are; the good, the bad and the ugly.  It's knowing that you are doing the best you can do, and being content with
that. I'm not saying to ignore what you'd like to improve in your life, but if you only see what's missing, you lose out on "loving" what's great about
you.

3. Be Comfortable Where You Are.

Being happy today means being comfortable where you are in the present, not where  you  would like to be in the future. It's about being in awe for the opportunity  to learn something new each day. You don't know what your life will bring tomorrow, so you might as well enjoy where you are today.

4. Appreciate Your Life.

Being  happy  today  means being grateful for your life. Whether it's being grateful  for having your health, a job, a place to live, food everyday, or
a family that loves you. If you knew that you were going to die in 90 days, would  you do things differently? Guess what? You are going to die one day,
and you don't know if you even have 90 days. Gratitude, not blame will give you happiness and freedom.

5. Ask For Help.

Being happy means not keeping your problems to yourself. It also means that you  ask  for  support  when you need it, and let others contribute to your
life.  Most  of  us  don't ask for help because we don't want to burden the people  around  us.  But, if someone asked you for assistance, wouldn't you
lend a helping hand? Then why wouldn't you let others do the same for you?

6. Do Something Nice For Someone Else.

Being  happy  today is doing something nice for someone else. This could be as  simple  as  holding  the  door  for the person behind you, or as big as
volunteering  your  time  to  your  favorite  charity. Your problems become smaller  when  you  are  not  always thinking about them. When you take the
focus off yourself, it is easier to see how great your life really is.

7. Do Something That Will Move You Forward.

Being  happy is taking steps that will move you forward. Movement keeps you from  feeling  like  a victim. When you're unhappy, formulating a plan puts
you in a different place and helps change your perspective. It also put the power back in your hands!

Title: 36 CHRISTIAN WAYS TO REDUCE STRESS
Post by Gracia on Oct 27th, 2005, 2:21pm
An Angel says, "Never borrow from the future.  If you worry about what may happen tomorrow and it doesn't happen, you have worried in vain.  Even if it does happen, you have to worry twice."

1. Pray

2. Go to bed on time.

3. Get up on time so you can start the day unrushed.

4. Say No to projects that won't fit into your time schedule, or that will compromise your mental  health.

5. Delegate tasks to capable others.

6. Simplify and unclutter your life.

7. Less is more. (Although one is often not enough,  two are often too many.)

8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.

9. Pace yourself.  Spread out big changes and difficult  projects overtime; don't lump the hard things all together.

10. Take one day at a time.

11. Separate worries from concerns.  If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety.  If you can't do anything about a situation, forget it.

12. Live within your budget; don't use credit cards for ordinary purchases.

13. Have backups; an extra car key in your wallet, an extra house key buried in the garden, extra stamps, etc.

14. K.M.S. (Keep Mouth Shut).  This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble.

15. Do something for the Kid in You everyday.

16. Carry a Bible with you to read while waiting in line.

17. Get enough rest.

18. Eat right.

19. Get organized so everything has its place.

20. Listen to a tape while driving that can help improve your quality of life.

21. Write down thoughts and inspirations.

22. Every day, find time to be alone.

23. Having problems?  Talk to God on the spot.  Try to nip small problems in the bud.  Don't wait until it's time to go to bed to try and pray.

24. Make friends with Godly people.

25. Keep a folder of favorite scriptures on hand.

26. Remember that the shortest bridge between despair and hope is often a  good "Thank you Jesus."

27. Laugh.

28. Laugh some more!

29. Take your work seriously, but not yourself at all.

30. Develop a forgiving attitude (most people are doing the best they can).

31. Be kind to unkind people (they probably need it the most.

32. Sit on your ego.

33. Talk less; listen more.

34. Slow down.

35. Remind yourself that you are not the general manager of the universe.

36 . Every night before bed, think of one thing you're grateful for that

you've never been grateful for before.  GOD HAS A WAY OF TURNING THINGS AROUND FOR YOU.  "If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31)

Title: Food for Thought
Post by Gracia on Nov 14th, 2005, 3:23am
Isn't it strange

how a 20 dollar bill seems like such a large
amount when you donate it to church,
but such a small amount when you go shopping?

Isn't it strange how 2 hours seem so long when you're at church,   and how short they seem when you're watching a good movie?

Isn't it strange that you can't find a word to say when you're praying,   but you have no trouble thinking what to talk about with a friend?

Isn't it strange how difficult and boring it is to read
one chapter of the Bible,  but how easy it is to read 100 pages of
a popular novel or ZANE GREY book?

Isn't it strange how everyone wants front-row-tickets
to concerts or games,  but they do whatever is possible to sit at the last  row in Church?

Isn't it strange how we need to know about an event for
Church 2-3 weeks before the day so we can include it in our agenda,
but we can adjust it for other events in the last minute?

Isn't it strange how difficult it is to learn a fact about
God and share it with others,   but how easy it is to learn, understand,
extend and repeat gossip?

Isn't it strange how we believe everything   that magazines and newspapers say,    but we question the words in the Bible?

Isn't it strange how everyone wants a place in heaven,
but they don't want to believe, do, or say anything   to get there?

Isn't it strange how we send jokes in e-mails and they are forwarded  right away,   but when we are going to send messages about God, we think   about it twice before we share it with others?

How true?

Title: RULES FROM GOD!
Post by Gracia on Mar 10th, 2006, 4:34am
BEAUTIFUL and full of wisdom from the Word of God. This is good for forwarding to
family and friends.

                    Rules from God

                     1. Wake Up !!
Decide to have a good day.
                     "Today is the day the Lord hath made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it."
                     Psalms 118:24

                     2. Dress Up !!
The best way to dress up is to put on a smile.
A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.
"The Lord does not look at the things man looks at.
                     Man looks at outward appearance;
but the Lord looks at the heart."
                     I Samuel 16:7

                     3. Shut Up!!
Say nice things and learn to listen.
God gave us two ears and one mouth, so He must
                     have  meant
for us to do twice as much listening as talking.
"He who guards his lips guards his soul."
                     Proverbs 13:3

                     4. Stand Up!!...
                     For what you believe in.
Stand for something or you will fall for anything..
"Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the
                       proper time,
we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good..."
                     Galatians 6:9-10

                    5. Look Up !!...
                     To the Lord.
"I can do everything through Christ who
                      strengthens me."
                     Philippians 4:13

                     6. Reach Up !!...
                     For something higher.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and lean not unto your own understanding.
In all your ways, acknowledge Him,
and He will direct your path."
                     Proverbs 3:5-6

                     7. Lift Up !!...
                     Our Prayers.
                     "Do not worry about anything;
                     instead PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING."
                     Philippians 4:6

"I die just as the dawn breaks over our native land.
You who will see that dawn, salute it - but forget not
those who have perished in the night." (Jose Rizal)

Title: DEVELOPING THE RIGHT IMAGE
Post by Gracia on Apr 3rd, 2006, 10:22am
Here are 10 suggestions to help you develop and maintain a healthy
self-image. Read them slowly.  Meditate on them regularly.

1. Hate your sin, but never hate yourself.

2. Be quick to repent.

3. When God gives you light, walk in it.

4. Stop saying negative things about yourself.  God loves you and
it's wrong to hate what He loves. He has great plans for you, so
you're in conflict with Him when you speak negatively concerning your
future.

5. Never be afraid to admit that you've made a mistake and don't
always assume that when things go wrong, it must be 'my fault'.

6. Don't meditate excessively on what you've done, right or wrong;
both of these activities keep your mind on you!  Center your thoughts
on Christ.

7. Take good care of yourself physically. Make the best of what God
gave you to work with, but don't be obsessed with your appearance.

8. Never stop learning but don't allow your education to become a
point of pride. God doesn't use you because of what's in your head: He
uses you because of what's in your heart.

9. Realize that your talents are a gift, not something you have
manufactured yourself; never look down on people who can't do what
you do.

10. Don't despise your weaknesses they keep you dependent on God.

Title: TWENTY TRUTHS TO REMEMBER
Post by Gracia on Aug 14th, 2006, 3:59am

1. Faith is the ability to not panic.

2. If you worry, you didn't pray. If you pray, don't worry.

3. As a child of God, prayer is kind of like calling home every day.

4. Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.

5. When we get tangled up in our problems, be still. God wants us to be
still so He can untangle the knot.

6. Do the math. Count your blessings.

7. God wants spiritual fruit, not religious nuts.

8. Dear God: I have a problem. It's me.

9. Silence is often misinterpreted, but never misquoted.

10. Laugh every day, it's like inner jogging.

11. The most important things in your home are the people.

12. Growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional.

13. There is no key to happiness. The door is always open.

14. A grudge is a heavy thing to carry.

15. He who dies with the most toys is still dead.

16. We do not remember days, but moments. Life moves too fast, so enjoy
your precious moments.

17. Nothing is real to you until you experience it, otherwise it's just
hearsay.

18. It's all right to sit on your pity pot every now and again. Just be
sure to flush when you are done.

19. Surviving and living your life successfully requires courage. The
goals and dreams you're seeking require courage and risk-taking. Learn
from the turtle -- it only makes progress when it sticks out its neck.

20. Be more concerned with your character than your reputation. Your
character is what you really are while your reputation is merely what
others think you are.
