Title: Reaching Heaven Post by Kitch on Feb 3rd, 2006, 9:06am You look across the world and you see many different religions. For through out the ages people have looked upon the evil in the world. Knowing that it is evil from what has been written in their hearts, have sought answers for purification and sanctification. Is it possible to see the Hitlers and the Stallens or other serial killers of the world and not see the evil with in them? So individuals have put forth there solutions to their human condition. The Hebrew began to rely on the 10 commandments to save them, The Buddhist follow the 8 Tears of enlighten and Muslims have the 5 pillars of Islam. You also heard it said, it doesn’t matter what you believe as long as you are sincere in your faith. Yet I can’t help but think you can sincerely think jumping of a 30 story building naked believing you will be able to fly and be absolutely wrong. Every faith system has a set of things you must do to find salvation or sanctification except Christianity. Which tells you that there is nothing you can do that is good enough to get to heaven, it took what God to come down and make a way for man to be purified. Isaiah 64:6 For we have all become like one who is unclean [ceremonially, like a leper], and all our righteousness (our best deeds of rightness and justice) is like filthy rags or a polluted garment; we all fade like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away [far from God’s favor, hurrying us toward destruction]. Amplified Version. Simply saying our best deeds are like filthy Rags. Unlike the other faiths and traditions of the world once you find the path way to heaven you can’t ever loose it, your destination is secure. |

Title: Re: Reaching Heaven Post by Kitch on Feb 3rd, 2006, 9:07am The need for salvation began at the beginning of Man, The father of Man kind whose name was Adam disobeyed God and brought sin in the world Genesis Chapter 3. The first man and woman became sinful which brought sin into the world as well as sickness and death. God may have forgiving Adam for his sin but being the Children of Adam of Eve the sin runs through us. (Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned.) After the fall man was marked with strife and disobedience, to the very point that God had to destroy the world once already giving Salvation to Noah and his family. However the sin has continued to follow down through the ages infecting every man that lives, so that every man and woman that lives dies, a physical death. (1st John 4:16 So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 2nd Corinthians 1:3 Blessed be the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort. Proverbs 29:26 Many seek the face of a ruler, but it is from the Lord that a man gets Justice.) So we know that God is Just, loving and Merciful. God being Loving and Merciful wants us to join him in heaven, Yet God is also Just which means that payment must be paid for your sin. (Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is Eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.) So for our sin we are subject to death, not just the physical death but a spiritual Death. (2nd Thessalonians 1:8-9 8] in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 9] They will suffer punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might.) So from the Justice of the Lord we know that our sins call for eternal destruction, and if you don’t know Lord, you will not be in his presence. (John 3:16-18 16] For God so loved the world, that he gave is only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18] Who ever believe in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.) So with a Just and Holy God the way to Salvation is to except Jesus. |

On the Cross Christ was Separated from the Father and became sin for us (2nd Corinthians 5:21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God) Only the sinless can make the payment for sin, for a sinner and only the payment made By Jesus, God incarnate could pay for all the sins of Man and woman. With a Just God payment for Sin has to be made, with a loving God he made the payment that we could not pay. The payment of our sins have been paid in full, all we need to do is accept the sacrifice of Jesus for payment of our sins and accept him as Lord. (Roman 3:23-26 23] For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24] and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25] whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over the former sins 26] It was to show his righteousness at the present time so that he might be just and justifier of the one who as faith in Jesus.) So to be in heaven is to have faith in the payment that Christ has made for you a payment for your sins. For we all have sin and done evil. Once in the hands of God, you are safely there until you leave the earth to meet him. God has known you since he created the Earth and is just waiting for you, to come to him and faith except his love and his payment for your sins. |

Title: Re: Reaching Heaven Post by Kitch on Feb 3rd, 2006, 9:08am If you want to know the saving Grace of the Lord and are not already a Christian here is a prayer you can say to become a member of the family of God and to obtain an eternal life. Heavenly and Holy Father, I know that I am a sinner and that you sent your one and only son Jesus to die for my sins. I ask that you will come into my heart and save me from my sins, and be Lord of my life. Place me in your will so that I shall do your will. If you say this or something similar you have become a member of the family of Christ. The Christian walk is a continuing Growth with God becoming daily sanctified but once you have accepted the saving grace of Jesus you are always saved. Say it believe it and you have passed from the path to hell to the righteousness from that moment for eternity. If your having thoughts like how can a loving God send people to hell! A loving God gave away to excape that fate, yet if you don’t want to have a relationship with God on this world, you will not want to have a relationship with him in the next. So you go where people who don’t want to have a relationship with God. I can look back in my life and see where the hand of God has been and I like many other Christians have similar Testimonies. God has opened the door for the relationship all you have to do is to let him in. It can’t be done for you and you can’t be born into the relationship. You must place your faith in Jesus yourself. I hope if you have not that you will so that you may know the love of the one True God.
