Post by Kitch on Dec 10th, 2006, 5:45am Mohammed in the Bible: If you know someone who is muslim I am sure you heard them say Mohammed is mentioned in the bible and then they will direct you to..... Deuteronomy 18:15-19 15 "The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, From your brothers - It is to him you shall listen - 16 Just as you desired of the Lord your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly, when you said, Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God or see this great fire any more, lest I die. 17 And the Lord said to me, They are right in what they have spoken. 18 I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among thier brothers. And I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him. 19 And whoever will not listen to my words that he shall speak in my name, I myself will require it of him Do you think this could possibly refer to Mohammed? Well the answer is no. Lets start with the most obvious reason that it could not be about Mohammed, The prophet spoken about here is Jewish and Mohammed was not jewish. If Mohammed were jewish Islam would have to do some serious reconsidering about things. Lets compare Moses and Mohammed now Moses was close to God Mohammed said God was far from him Moses was used by God to preform many Miracles 10 Plagues Parting of the Reed Sea Water from a stone Bread from heaven Delivered the Law Heard directly from God Molded a snake out of bronze to cure snake bites and many other miracles Mohammeds Miracles??? He brought the Koran.....(he didn't write it he spoke it) So it is clear that Mohammed was no Prophet like Moses this verses actually refers to Jesus. |
