For me Summer is a time to Gather with Friends & Family and enjoy the nice Hot weather we have in Canada. We usually BBQ alot, and we will often get together with our WHOLE family for some sort of occasion at least once a Summer. I like to Mountain Bike alot and to Golf alot during the summer. I usually get a Season's pass to a golf course that is just down the road. And Ever since I learned to drive I really don't walk as much as I used to. I used to walk EVERYWHERE. Ohh well...I guess that's part of getting older. I also usually do at least one family "project" once a Summer. That means someone needs a new deck, or maybe they need to renovate their basement or spare bedroom and all the family pitches in to help. My Uncle has been hinting that he wants to renovate his basement, but I have doubts that it will go smoothly. I told him to save some $ so that he can go and buy the things we need to do the job correctly, but I doubt he put enough aside in his bank account. Ohh well... I also like to go Camping with the the family for a weekend once during the Summer. I didn't go last year, but maybe this year will be different...Maybe. I just like to let go and Relax in front of a fire with a slight Buzz from my Favorite Adult beverage of choice. I don't know why...maybe some age-old Primal thing, but when it gets dark and your sitting in front of a fire, it has this strage Hypnotic effect. You become mesmorized staring at the coals and dancing flames. I just love that feeling. Ahhh.... *Sigh* Dangit I miss that! I miss being alone camping with a GF sitting up in the dark, snuggling next to one another...with some music playing low from the Picnic table. You back feels cool but your front is nice N toasty bathed in the warmth from the fire. Then she gets tired and go into the tent and gets in the sleeping bag. I give her a kiss and tell her I want to stay up awhile longer. When I come to bed she has been keeping the sleeping bag nice and warm for me. Ahhhh...*Sigh...Heaven* And we drift off to sleep snuggling up to each other with only the wind and the stars above our heads. Ok...Enough, all this talk of Summer has my mind swirling with plans aplenty. |

Post by gracia on Apr 22nd, 2005, 4:16am wow...quite romantic Dale... summer! heaven! the streets are not busy and that only rare cases that i'll be late. We've been to beach twice this month and well, i dont like the effect of the sun to our skin...so perhaps...i'll pause and wait for the company family outing that will happen probably next month. Darker complexion don't fit us so well, it makes us more like java, not a good sight. |

We can go to the beach again and spend time together with my whole family!! I can't wait! And there will be town fiestas left and right again. I like travelling out of town on invitation from friends. I don't mind the long drive or the long hours it takes to reach a place as long as I have friends with me. It's great and it's fun!! |
