Title: WHERE DID YOUR NAME COME FROM? Post by earthlingorgeous on Sep 20th, 2005, 8:52am Hmmmmm.... I always get this question with my nickname and my real name.... My real name is Mercedes... they always ask if its from the one of the elegant and popular automobile... lol! nope... it's from a saint who had the same birthday as I am... my dad chose it he was born and raised in a convent....it supposedly Maria Mercedes but the nurse got lazy to put Maria there lol! thanks to her I don't have to sing Thalia's jingle lol! Earth...my nick they always tell me are you earthy? (makamundo in Tagalog) lol! Earth comes from a crossword puzzle of my whole name with middle initials and my petname .... I used it almost 10 years ago when I worked as a service crew for Jollibee and then carried over when I worked at McDonalds... it stuck with me.... so the rest is history ;D HOW ABOUT YOU? Post by beth on Oct 14th, 2005, 10:36pm this could be funny [smiley=cat39.gif][smiley=cat39.gif] hahaha... to talk about where my name from... hmmm... well, when it come to name d kid, my mom told my dad that she is the one who deliver the baby, so she got the right to give my first name. l dunno whether she tried the simplest one or just coincidence that l was born in Elizabeth's hospital, so she named me Elisabeth. then my dad picked my middle namey ;D heheheh.... |

Mom is Millie Jo, sister Pamela Jo call her PJ, brother Billy Joe, Dad is Joseph..so I guess to save confusion my parents decided to put an L on the end of my name. My nick is a combo of what my grandmother called me as a kid, a johnny cash song, and what I do for a living. ;D |

Post by dancin tOe on Nov 16th, 2005, 8:31am Hmmm...Actually Andi is my family name...but in my tribe custom... we put it in the front of our real name...so my real name is Hasna... but my fam and my closest friends call me nna for short...while others call me andi...the funniest thing is... when someone on the phone and say " may i talk to andi pls??"...who ever pick the phone will say..." which andi??"... cos all my family's name start with andi... ;D ;D ;D |
