Title: Re: How much is/was your allowance during your ele Post by Wicked_Witch on Sep 1st, 2005, 1:21am Elementary, I did not have any coz my grandma was the school's principal so we did sign chits at the school canteen ;DHigh school, first and second I got plenty, my dad was still good back then-he gave me about P200 for my weekly allowance, that was in the 70's :PI dont pay for my transportation coz he always brought me to school in his army service jeep and picked me up on his way home ;D |

My allowance was 50 cents plus 20 cents jeepney fare. There was one time, i'm on my way to school, i was holding on my right palm my allowance that was 50 cents, and on the left palm was our fare with my brother 20 cents. When i was about to disembark from the jeepney i gave the fare to the driver, i forgot if it was the right or left palm. I was so close to being late..so i run and run till i was inside the classrom. When i was able to catch my breathe, i checked my money and found out i gave out my 50 cents to the driver. Oh i cried so hard..how can i buy ice candy now??? ice candy at that time was 30 cents and nutri bun is 20 cents...jeeze...it seems like the world fell in on me. How can a grade two pupil suffered so much. ohhhh foods... In high school...20 to 30 pesos i guess or lesser depending on the availability on my parents purse. In college...50 pesos the most or sometimes..just enough for fare.. i dont make a fuss about my allowance...our life was quite difficult by then. I'm just so thankful..we survived. PRAISE THE LORD! |

Title: Re: How much is/was your allowance during your ele Post by okasantina on Nov 16th, 2005, 5:40pm I was a very poor girl when i wa studying...as i remember when i was in elementary its only 25 cents, highschool 2.50 and in college 25.00 pesos :'( for me its not important as long as i go to school and i have food on my bag thats enough with me....Attendance is a must....so if i have no allowance no problem with me....as long as i am goin to school with proper uniform and complete things i use in school....was so very thankful that i finished college and had my diploma...thanky Lord! :) |

Title: Re: How much is/was your allowance during your ele Post by dancin tOe on Nov 29th, 2005, 9:36am hmm well....when i was in elementary ...it was 200 rupiah i could buy a glass of ice tea, a cookie, and a candy....;D ;D when i was in junior high....hmmm ::) 1000 rupiah cos i have to take a public bus from my house... in senior high......3000 rupiah as the bus fare changed...lol.... hmmm.... In college....well i dont have exact allowence...i just ask money when i need to...well usually my mom give me 20.000 rupiah a day 10.000 rupiah for my bus ( my university is far from my house....1 hour in a bus and more cos of the traffic jam ), for my lunch 6000 rupiah the rest i just save them..lol..well at the second year i decided to live in a dorm so i saved my my bus expenses and my energy lol...and try to live with 50.000 a week ;D...hehehe ( that time 1 USD = Rp. 9000... ??? ??? ??? ) :P :P :P :P |
