Anyways . . . REE!
*lol* I just got back from HYBERNATiNG . . . *lol*
and somebody told me that I should get into this place again. *oh boy, here we go again* ... lol
That's for later.

Anyways,
I like this place new features, and won't resist if you add more and more fun to it.

I Like BLUE
But --- the color - BLUE on this ... errr ... uhmmm ...kinda dull? plain?
I dunno, but it makes me lazy, sleepy . . . *lol*
And with the blue-flowery-background, it's hard to read the tiny words of Top and bottom clickable links of this forum `cos of it, sorta.

But hey --- it's just a thought!
maybe IF there's option to change the scheme, maybe someday.

Another thing, I like the writing box's features, more fun, more smileys.
And IMHO, if it's possible, would be more fun if it's using WYSIWYG system `cos it's more easier and more simple

And all is just a thought . . .

YooHoooo!
I will probably change the scheme next month to a 4th of July theme. Usually, I will do a theme with associated wallpaper as part of a holiday theme. Since a major holiday was lacking, I wanted a "water" theme (something with colors associated with my website) and that is what the person called the wallpaper I was using. Theme colors for this software isn't a simple thing. I don't have many options in the CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) template and often, one simple color change will affect another completely different text area in a negative way. As for the WYSIWYG interface, that would be a great idea. The only problem is that it would be quite a programming undertaking to make that work with the special "codes" for embedding text, pictures, fonts, colors, flash and the like that this forum software uses. I am wondering though if someone programmer has done this for this software. I will look and see. Wecome back!

the WYSIWYG is great and powerful tool alright!
`Cos we dont need to mess with the yada-yada-YABBC thingies that needs to put the tags manually and/or by copy/paste the codes if we gonna put different "look" on the writing later --- unless, it can be done/appear automatically by clicking here and there on before or after each words/lines (including the smileys), `cos if not, the codes woud go to the very bottom of the box auto. *lol*
Grrrr . . . I do that ALLthe time! *lol*
And still --- needs the little tiny HTML knowledge to do all those, to comprehend what goes to where . . .
While the WYSIWYG is do all those stuff for you and save loads of times and energy.

Nah, I have known Heidi for a long time. Really, any comments and suggestions are ok. Some things I can do, some things I cannot. One time, it was suggested to do a calendar application, and I found one to use. I also need to fix the forum "homepage" link on the menubar, and get the RSS news feed working. The bad thing about this software is that making those changes could take the entire day if not longer. Some of these "mods" that they make for this software do not play well together, but it is like that for most any forum software that you use. Also, I have to balance my time between my paying jobs, my sports and making these upgrades.

I never look at anyone's comments or suggestions as "demands" but I can understand if they may look "demanding" when written in the form of a post.

I have done a search for a for a better posting interface, but there are none. It does seem like a good idea, but I am sure there is a good reason why there are none. I had a look at my Geeksters.org posting editor, and it does the same type of thing with a different command structure. I think if I tried to code one, or modify a Perl TextArea editor app, I would probably make more trouble by having to edit other parts of the codebase and the way it stores textfiles. I think the reason is that a WYSIWYG editor tends to store things in a particular format such as RTF or HTML. In YaBB, all files are stored in a straight TXT format. In the YaBB code, the special commands are parsed out of the text file and formatted. Probably the only real solution to having a WYSIWYG interface is to have a HTML format for all postings. The problem there is the filesize of HTML is much greater than TXT. The TXT format is the most efficient format for this case, and I am sure that is why it is used here.

But NOT for me.
I belonged to several forums before, and basically they have same simple rules.
I know the portions of being a member of a forum.
And IF there`s no options allowing the members to do stuffs, why would I against the wave for.

I am sure the Admin welcomes every comment and suggestion presented. However, we should be a little sensitive on how we deliver them--we don't need to critisize or to sound insulting.

I am sure the Admin knows what's the best thing to do about the software of this forum is using and its best capability. So, if those programs, systems and other "better" things were possible with the software this forum is using, then the Admin WOULD HAVE DONE THEM -- long time ago! Thus, I sometimes find those "techies" suggestions, irrelevant. But yeah, go ahead type it/them, the Admin is sure patient enough to read and explain again and again.

And to add, for those who don't know, colors and designs of the forum are always done based on the theme of the current season.

By the way Coox, WELCOME BACK !

Well, certainly, not just a better air that you would expect but since you brought something that smells "stinky", naturally, it's hard to just keep quiet and would not complain anything. I think we are loosing the point of Coox making a thread about this topic. We are not here to criticize what she wrote nor what she is suggesting. We are mainly here to read and understand to what she is suggesting..Of course she might have wrote extra unrelated words here and there but the point here...she is stating her opinion...to others, it sounds like a demand to few it sounds like a suggestions... It is hard also to understand the other side if you dont hear the whole story..so suggesting, or judging someone's via what they wrote please dont take it as being judgemental as well. Also any member, new, old, friend, enemy are all welcome to state their opinion here. As an old member coox did not come here because she is new, old friend nor being so hush in just coming into the forum...yes her words seems so strongly stated upon re entry but again that is her opinion and lets leave it as it is. Wrong way or not we are not here to scrutinize every ones suggestion or how they wrote it, how many post they contributed. We are here to monitor what is wrong or not. If she stated something bad, strongly expressive..then leave it we already said our point. Please dont take this the wrong way. I am not taking anyone sides. Please read carefully what I have replied to her posts. It's not that I'm not happy about her coming back, but think about this for example: How would I react when someone entered my house and didn't even bother to say a single greeting and just look around and tell me my house is not arranged well, and should be like this and that?

Sure and ofcourse, we should work fairly and never take one's side. I hope you are sure of that.

True some new members come and don't say "hi", but they look around where they can join the fun and share. That would be appreciated, because it's clear that their reason of joining is to share the fun.

I am mainly replying too to what I have read here. Don't bring things that happened long before or about private conversations . That is bringing shit back.
