Title: Re: How Do You Communicate With Your Pets? Post by norkay on Nov 18th, 2004, 5:37am Last month,i brought my dog to the veterinary clinic because he always vomits everytime he finishes his meal and i got this latest pet magazine. ~10 PET COMMANDMENTS~ 1. My life is likely to last 10-15 years.Any separation from you will be very painful to me. 2. Give me time to understand what you want from me. 3. Place your trust in me-it's crucial for my well being. 4. Dont be angry with me for a long time, and don't lock me up as punishment. You have your work, friends and entertainment.I ONLY HAVE YOU! 5.Talk to me.Even if i don't understand your words, I understand your voice. 6.Be aware that however you treat me, I'LL NEVER forget it. 7. Before you hit me :'(, remember I have teeth that could easily crush the bones in your hands, BUT I choose not to bite you. 8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask your self if something might be bothering me.Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, or my heart maybe getting old and weak. 9. Take care of me when i get old, YOU,TOO, WILL GROW OLD! 10. Go with me on difficult journeys.Everything is easier for me IF you are there......REMEMBER I LOVE YOU! I was touched and very sorry for shouting to my dog when he's not listening when i read this pet commandments. Now, i know much better about what he wants and needs. ;D...My dog is a rottweiler and his name is ROY ;D |

Title: Re: How Do You Communicate With Your Pets? Post by ChAntiQ on Nov 8th, 2005, 1:36pm First thing I do when I wake up in the mawning is do nose-to-nose with my dogs lol. It's my morning-kiss for them to say that I'm thankful I wake up every morning to give them more love. They enjoy it as much as I do and they know I adore them. No amount of words can say it so much better than by holding them, spoiling them, hugging and caring for them. As humiliating as it may sound, at my age, I still engage in babytalk with my dogs. It's when I scold them, that I use my normal grown-up voice and they know I mean business when I do. But how can you stay mad at them when they sit there and stare at you with their puppy hug-me-quick eyes. on 02/28/05 at 06:28:14, norkay wrote:
Krissy aww look at him and his pretty eyes. And look at those tiny round and brown eyebrows lol. He may be big and look scary but he is one big teddybear of a dog! |

Title: Re: How Do You Communicate With Your Pets? Post by ChAntiQ on Nov 8th, 2005, 2:33pm OMG I did'nt know Krissy :'( I'm so sorry, I went and read the other pet topics on here, I did'nt realize he's gone...I'm crying now. I feel for you girl. When pets die it's like losing a family member, in my case I treat them as my own kids. I want to share with you a poem by Richard Severo that eased my pain somehow about my pets that have long gone but never forgotten. It gave me hope of seeing my babies again one day when my time comes. Do Not weep for me when I am gone For I have friends in the great beyond. All the little ones I used to feed Will come to me in my time of need. They will purr and bark in great delight, And I will hold and hug them tight. Oh what a great day that will be When my furry friends all welcome me. * Hugs Krissy... :) |
