Some people think of the philippines as a place full of chaos. But there are so many things that the Filipinos can offer... So thats why i'll start this thread and say 5 good things about my country. Share your thoughts about your country too and let us know the good things about it.

1. We have some of the best beaches and dive sites in the world....

2. We have the largest number of indeginous birds in the world...

3. We have the friendliest and most hospitable people in the whole world...

4. We have some of the best computer programmers in the world... hehehe... back me up here mymy ;D

5. We celebrate Christmas in the most happiest way in the whole world ;D

1 only in America can u take a driving test for your drivers license if about 50 different languages.
2 the Grand Canyan

3 The Rocky Mountains

4 Budweiser Beer

5 The number of different cultures and variety of people

1. men can pee any corner available
2. its in here u can drive with students permit (looky is the living proof)
3. its in here u can see lots of slim women coz we lack foods to eat, not that we're on diet
4. its here were laws are made to be violated
5. its in here where u can drive with a stop or caution signal so long that no enforcer is watching ya.

Okay Kim, i thought it were good things ...but anyway, those were just some silly spotlights in PI but here are the five good things in cebu:

1. they said cebuanas are generally pretty (no violent reaction pls....most men who said that were drunk)

2. traffic is bearable and it's not scary to drive according to mylene.

3. we have good beaches sorrounding the area

4. we have a booming city

5. it's still one of the safest city to live with

ahihihihi this a kewl thread kimpot.... ;)

1. Balut is the first thing in my list....it keeps my teeth healthy and strong...lol ;D

2. Strong family ties and very family oriented community.

3. A community where u can find all the humorous green minded people including tina and the rest....brings all the perverted traits in you...lol..

4. People here can speak and write better english compare to those countries using english as default language.

5. Jai Alai...lol lol lol ;D

1. Filipinas are one of the best wives you can ever have... Thats why foreign ppl love us :P

2. Street foods like kwek-kwek, adidas, helmet and isaw

3. Sea foods... yum yum yum

4. crime rate is still lowere here than in the US

5. N most of all the strong family ties ;)

These are not good things necessarily but they are things that make America unique

ONLY IN AMERICA:

Only in America.....do drugstores make the sick walk all the way to the back of the store to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front.

Only in America......do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries, and a diet coke. !

Only in America......do banks leave both doors open and then chain the pens to the counters.

Only in America......do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in the driveway and put our useless junk in the garage.

Only in America......do we buy hot dogs in packages of ten and buns in packages of eight.

Only in America......do we use the word 'politics' to describe the process so well: 'Poli' in Latin meaning 'many' and 'tics' meaning 'bloodsucking creatures'.

Only in America......do they have drive-up ATM machines with Braille lettering.

Im from Quezon City so I will say 5 good things about my "country" ;D

1. It is still by far the most "uncrowded" place in Metro Manila.
2. It is the place where most of the government offices are located. ;D
3. Traffic here is not so congested ;)
4. We are a close-knit family so most of them lives around here too 8)
5. And I like it here coz no matter what happens, I would still be around people I know

Hey I think I have more or less 30 godchildren...LOL

1. People all over the Philippines speak different dialect... ;D

2. We got TABO, we don't use tissue when we poop...LOL...there should always be water for cleaning ur anus...LOL ;D

3. Mixed Races...that's why there's a lot of beautiful people in PI.

4. Tropical Country.

lol mylane I think I agree with you on the TABO thing... we don't just wipe and leave lol! ewwwwwww yuck!!! lololol! ;D

Divisoria the shopping paradise...just a suggestion tho...don't go there wearing your most pretiest clothes, shoes and expensive jewelries or else!!!

another addition to my list would be:

PRE-PAID CARDS ( phone cards, cellphone cards, internet cards, and anything prepaid there's no such in other countries lolol! ONLY in the PHILIPPINES!!!

well AUSTRALIA because.

1) we have the best beaches in the world and not poluted.

2) the best lifestyle where u can go form the city hype to the esy ness of the country.

3) the aussie gentlemen, they are relaed ,smart and know how to entertain.

4) we are awy form everyone so there is no trouble and we are ourselves.

5) te multicultrlism of australia we have no issues we all live as one and for 20 million we are one of the best sporting nations.

hmmmm... noone mention about indonesia yet eh ? ::) ::) ::)

okies since l live in jakarta, here it is about jakarta :

1. so very crowded population, you can even hardly breath.

2. corruption is like the air, they are everywhere.

3. the "3 in 1" rules in the morning between 6.30am till 10.00am and in the evening from 4.30pm till 7 pm, made me wanna kill the police.

4. you can drive like snail with 10 km/hour after 5 pm in the biggest streets in jakarta.

5. dont use your cellphone in the traffic lights or they might robe you.

okies this is 5 good things ...

1. we got lotsa beaitiful islands with awesome beaches in here, like bali, lombok, thousand island, etc. also bunaken, the most beautiful coral, very good for diving.

2. lotsa big malls, l meant "huge" malls in jakarta that got everything inside, also huge markets when u can find things with lower price.

3. since we come from different culturals on the islands, we got lotsa local languages, dances n lotsa local typical foods.

4. tropical fruits we got that other countries don't.

5. me, to show u around ;D

LOL@Beast!

Here's what I think..the best things about the United States are (in no particular order):

1. Hollywood films - We are top notch in the entertainment industry.

2. Opportunities - Careers, education, etc. Almost anybody here can attend college even if they are poor and/or unintelligent.

3. Cultural/racial diversity - Depends on where in the United States you are reside but it's very diverse if you are in large cities.

4. Our hearts - We give a lot to other countries though we wreak havoc in the world too.

5. Gender equality - Sexism exists everywhere but I have to say, compared to many countries, the US treats their women a lot better.

1. Filipinos are getting better now making products copied from the original ones.
2. Filipinos may protest at the harships of life but they endure and live it anyway.
3. Housemaids are cheap here compared to other countries.
4. There's a roll back in the price of gas these days.
5. They get a mandatory salary increase every year.
