Title: Re: Philippines next Afganistan? Post by thebeast on Apr 16th, 2005, 1:32am Muslims and terrrorists who are muslims are 2 different groups of people. Muslims are in fact a very kind and peaceful people. I know and work with a lot of muslims here in Texas. Some of the most gracious people I know are muslims. Now muslim terrorists to me are not real muslims at all. Muslim terrorists are baically people who murder innocent people for some warped ideal they believe in. They take the muslim religion and manipulate it to conform to their warped ideals. I have been chatting a lot with a muslim lady online lately and asking her lots of questions about her religion. What I have learned is the muslim religion is a lot more strict than the christian religion. What I am meaning is that the christian bible has a lot of ways to interpret it. I think this is so because God wants us to make our own minds up about what is wrong or right. While the muslim bible or kiran(probably not spelled right) is more exact about the right way to live. What this means is it would be very hard to justify what muslim terrorists do if they do what they call a holly thing. I never could quite grasp the killing of innocent people and war of any kind as a holly thing. So I prefer not to call muslims terrorists muslims at all. I call them radical fanatics. |

To think that he is not going to apologize only proves that he is very insensitive and very unbecoming of being a diplomat, sound ironic huh? There is nothing wrong of being candid, but being a diplomat he should be more cautious, because whether his statement has a good or bad message, it would create an impression that the country he represents shares the same view. The misinterpretation might spread to our neighboring countries. FYI, US is not the only country that helping to improve the situation in Mindanao, Malaysia is also extending their help so as Canada. Canada believes that the Philippine Government has a great chance to forge peace in the area and still can improve the whole economic status of the island. |
