Title: Re: How to get away with PMS? Post by kianna_andrea on Mar 10th, 2004, 8:13am PMS.... the thing I dread most every month :-/ I turn into a monster when I have it. :D I'm hotheaded,... irritable,... I want to be alone,.... I even sometimes feel unloved, and cry for no reason at all! :-[ Now,going back to ur question lyn..... I indulge in things that I love most.... chocolates (believe me it's true,... eating chocolate can make you feel happy), I treat myself to a pedicure or a foot spa... (it's a great way to pamper urself, and besides it does not cost a lot nowadays so all could afford to have one, :)) and when this doesn't work,.... well........ :P I just lock myself in my room and mope around all day,..hoping that when I wake up the next morning it'll all go away. (sigh) how hard it is to be a woman! :( How come men doesn't have pms? >:( maybe then,..they would learn to understand women better! >:( |

Title: Re: How to get away with PMS? Post by need4speed8dalejr on May 12th, 2004, 1:27am I have heard this on good authority, that if a woman has sex, or even if she just has an orgasm or two before her period, that her PMS isn't so bad. Her cramps go away and she isn't so grumpy and her hormone level isn't all over the place. Im no expert here, so gals....what do you think about this? Is it true? Post away. Oh yes, i was advised before by my cousin who also suffers dysmenorrhea about drinking atleast a bottle or two bottles of beer during my first day,(which spotting uccurs).I did try and i think it worked.Maybe because the beer makes you hot inside and that the blood can flow easily or freely? |

Title: Re: How To Cope With PMS Post by ClumsilyIdiotic on Apr 14th, 2006, 2:02pm I almost always have the worst case of dysmenorrhea (sp?). I feel nauseous, unable to sit or stand, I usually curl up into a ball, feeling as if my hips isn't attached to my body and I wouldn't feel any better til I take my painkillers. I'm very dependent on it. I have a very low pain threshold. I have this twisted excuse of drugs being invented to help ease pain if not cure us from our ailments, so why suffer when you can pop a pill and feel better in a few minutes? I'm not suggesting you do coz there is at least one side effect if you take too much pain killers... it builds up acid. Which only makes you feeling sick all the more. Sometimes I feel like stabbing myself. Seriously! PMS is worst than a heart ache. In my case at least. ;D I'm seeing if my cramps won't be as bad this month since I've been encouraged to get on the pill just for the cramps and I read that it helps your skin too. Ooooo which reminds me, what kind of birth control pills are you taking, girls? Any suggestions? My friend suggested I take Diane-35, only been taking it for a month, but after extensive (ahem LOL) research I found out that it has been banned from Europe and caused deaths in Canada? :o I came across Ortho Tri Cyclen and according to reviews and comments from those taking it for years, it's highly recommended, thing is, I'm having trouble finding it here in Dubai :( . |

Title: Re: How To Cope With PMS Post by Gracia on Apr 17th, 2006, 4:46am I remember i have this cousin who was having a severe case of dysmenorrhoea, to the point of falling down. Her classmates adviced her to engage in sex, and that it will wipe out the pain she'll go through. She did engaged in sex and still the pain is there. Oh well,, case of trial and error. I'm having minor troubles too when my menstruation comes. A good friend of mine adviced me to do set ups at least days before my period and i have tried it. It works for me perfectly, got no pains till now. There's no harm in trying this one, you can exercise and probably it might take pains away, kind of hitting two birds in one stone. Oh well, if it won't work, at least set ups is good to flatten your abdomen. Always think of a brighter side. ;D |
