As we grow older, something changes in our physical appearance...There are ways to change now a days but we tend to forget the natural way of aging.  By what I mean is not going under the knife.
Please give us some tips and ways to maintain it.
As you all notice, asians appear to look younger than they look.  Also, if you noted, there are not too many over weight.  Maybe we learn through this thread  what you ate and what you do to maintain that....Post it away!!!!!

My grandfather live to be on his 100 and I learned from him that walking every morning and eating lots of vegetables keeps him stay fit and shape.  30% researcher say it has something to do with genetics, but 70 % says it has something to do with environment and something we ate.

it does connected with genetics, but then my grandpa... if he still alive, he'll be 95 this year but he passed away last june....
He didnt eat beef and pork, but he ate chicken. in every meal he always asked for vegetables and fruits. He dont like food that is too salty (even sometimes he dont want salt at all in his food)
every night and morning he take a long walk, not jog or sweaty things but only relaxing walk.
So l guess it help him to stay fit... ;D

Boy asians are lucky. You look younger than what you really are and you live longer.  :-[

I can say the same thing with my grandpa.  He did take long walks everyday and does not eat meat all the time.  He eat mostly fish. ;D

My grandpa died at 87, he was not really into pork or beef, but he was more on eating vegetables and fish.

l'm agree with looked younger, joel... l dunno why, maybe genetics, but most asians did looked younger than their age.
about the 'live longer'... it depends on how you live your life, eating healthy food etc and no offense... but smoking aint good for our health, l guess. ;D

Kinda weird but my grandpa loved to smoke cigar [smiley=oops.gif]Dont know if he got that special genes...

well its funny if ya read up on the age subject, it all depends on your gentic make up.Some people smoke and live to 120 and some dont and live to 120 it all depends on i think how u live ya live and be happy dont get stressed and try to do a bit of everything i think will let all live longer ;D ;D ;D

I think it's all about balance, too much of anything can be bad.  Eat right, exercise at least 3X a week and trying to be happy all the time are good ways to maintain youth.  People who feel good inside normally look good outside.

well i eat plenty veg,fruit,pasta n chicken ....smoked n drank most of my life.up till 2 year ago i was still playin football(soccer) twice a week till i injured my back.only exercise i get now is walkin the 2 mile n back to my work,and i'v noticed i'm not as fit as i once was.so only conclusion i an make is you have to combine the right food with exercise to stay young n healthy

HOW TO STAY YOUNG:

1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height.  Let
the doctors worry about them.  That is why you pay "them "

2. Keep only cheerful friends.  The grouches pull you down.

3. Keep learning.  Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever.
Never let the brain idle.  "An idle mind is the devil's workshop."  And the
devil's name is Alzheimer's.

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud.  Laugh until you gasp for breath.

6. The tears happen.  Endure, grieve, and move on.  The only person, who is with
us our entire life, is ourselves.  Be ALIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's family, pets, keepsakes,
music, plants, hobbies, whatever.  Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health:  If it is good, preserve it.  If it is unstable,improve
it.  If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9 Don't take guilt trips.  Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to
a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that
take our breath away.

Well nothing wrong with a cigar on some kind of special event or on vacations. Hell I love a cigar when fishing or hunting or exploring or even just relaxing on a vacation. But not good to get in a habbit of smoking them every day.

I wish I can do that, Twinnie just to see if it really works. ;) Right now I drink slimming tea instead of coffee and when I can't go to the gym I do some 20-minutes exercises around the house with loud music in the background.

How I wish coochie but now I'm just happy with my boost of agel supplement and regular gym session and darn have i mentioned the kick boxing to ya?! try it out  ;)

And hey twinnie poo I tried slimming tea but guess what I'mjust not a beverage person.  Agel has a supplement for weight management.  It does not contain any stimulant which only makes you gain double if you stopped taking. Whats most interesting is it has a very tangy lemon meringue pie.  Anyone want to know more? you know where to find me  ;)

Swim and long walks in the mall.  ;D


I'm more of legs exercise kind of person. I guess you can make me do all leg exercises for hours on end and I won't complain.  ;D That and squats evry once and again. Since leaving lifeguarding, I've become extremely lazy, so I try to swim at least twice a week, sauna and steam bath. I miss taebo lessons too though  :(  

Oh, and I've been drinking green tea and lots and lots of water.
