Only a genius could think of fight scenes choreographed as beautifully as those. LOTR -- you're on the edge of your seat watching the uruks getting beheaded and Gimli says something like, "No one tosses a dwarf" or "Toss me. Dont tell the elf" and it cracks you up. It sorta eases out the tension. |

The special effects will take your breath away for real but I noticed in Matrix-Revolution & Matrix Reloaded, the fight scenes have become ordinary. Whats up with that? Anyway, Mymy---here's to LOTR--may it win the best picture awards in the Golden Globe and of course, the Oscars!!! |

It has depth and if you come to think of it...its a metaphor to a lot of things. It alludes to life, to conformity...its really a good film but everything got lost in the second and third installment. |

The most realistic scene of war I have ever seen. My date got sea sick during this scene. The 20 minutes of the Japanese bombing Pearl Harbor in the movie Pearl Harbor. The love triangle thing going on in this movie was kinda corny. Hey Im all for love but they should of focussed more on the historical aspect like in the 70s movies Tora Tora Tora and Midway. :'( |

Title: Re: Favorite fight scenes Post by thebeast on Jan 25th, 2004, 10:56pm Well im not sure if these would be considered fight scenes Ben Hur the chariot race scene when Judah Ben Hur defeats Messala(the roman) I like car chase scenes also Bullet- Staring Steve McQueen- Steve really drove the car in the movie i think he always did all of his stunts. I think its in san francisco and he is in the city and going up and down these steep hills in a fastback mustang. I dont care what anyone says the muscle cars of the late 60s and early 70s make the best cars for car chase scenes. The car chase scene in the Italion Job is good with the mini coopers. |
