I've seen the movie "THE EYE", it is not that scary, the special effects made the movie scary actually. It is the story about the blind gurl then regain her sight back and the mystery begins. I was in Tugegarao hotel when I saw this movie. ;D I personally like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. |

Title: Re: Favorite movie other than american made Post by need4speed8dalejr on Jun 5th, 2004, 10:34pm My favorite movie other than American made is, I recently found this little gem playing on one of the movie channels on my Satellite dish. Amélie is played by Audrey Tautou who is sooo cute and lovely I almost can't begin to describe the way she makes me feel. Audrey Tautou is perfect in the role of Amélie Poulain. The movie is a story about a women and her interactions within her World, and her new-found willingness to do good deeds for others around her, and of the man who steals her heart. This is such a smart and well thought out movie from start to finish. The movie itself is in French with English sub-titles but is very easy to understand. Although I watched this movie over and over to pick up some of the little things I missed while busy reading some of the sub-titles. This movie is also know under three different names: Amélie Amélie Poulain and Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain. All three are the same movie, just released under three different names depending on where you are in the World. This movie is shot with such an artsy and fresh feel, and it really makes this movie stand out. I can understand why so many young women have made such a connection with the character of Amélie, and alot claim they are the real women behind the movie. If you do watch this movie you must pay close attention to the first 10 minutes or so, because it moves very fast and you might miss some of the little things later on in the movie. I urge you to go out and find this movie, it will be well worth your search. ;D |

Title: Re: Favorite movie other than american made Post by thebeast on Jun 9th, 2004, 11:58pm If its not american it usually has subtitles. I dont like to go to the movies and read i like to go to movies and watch. I know I have seen a few. I watched The game of Death with Bruce Lee in it this past Sunday on AMC and I liked that. But is that a foreign movie or american. It didnt have subtitles but Bruce Lees real voice was the only real voice in it. All the other characters had their voices subbed over with someone elses voice. Wait Kareem Abdul Jabbar was in it and that was his real voice also, but everyone else was fake. And if it is a foreign movie why are they playing it on AMC which stands for American Movie Classics? This is a very interesting question????? |
