Title: Re: Favorite Car Chase-Scenes? Post by thebeast on Dec 18th, 2004, 8:33am I agree with tea. I forgot about the car chase scene in The Blues Brothers. That was some funny stuff. The mini cooper chase scene in the Italian Job. Steve McQueen driving a souped up mustang on the hilly streets of San Francisco in Bullit is my favorite. The French Connection has a good one in it as well. Jade is a movie with David Caruso in it. He was in the TV series NYPD Blue and I think is in one of the CSI series now. In the movie Jade there is a real good car chase scene with a Ford Thunderbird being chased by a Ford Taurus through china town in San Francisco. The movie didnt do to good at the box office, but the car chase scene is real good. But you gotta have surround sound at your house to really appreciate it. I tend to like the car chase scenes that use the muscle cars of the United States(V8's) in them because of the sound. The V8's are more fun to watch for me because they dont handle as well as the japanese, german, and italian sports cars, so they slide, screech, and peel out a lot more. They are also more durable. LOL Try driving a porche down that hilly street in San Francisco at 60 miles an hour. If it does make it to the bottom it wont be in very good shape and its not as fun to watch either. I like car chase scenes a lot but I dont like the whole movie to be a car chase scene like Gone in 60 Seconds or the Fast and the Furious. To much of one thing ruins the movie for me. |
