The english radio voice of Japan during the Second World War died yesterday at 90 in Chicago.  Iva Toguri D'Aquino  was convicted of treason in 1949 and served 6 years.  She was pardoned by President Gerald R. Ford in 1977.  There was a lot made of the broadcasts of Toyko Rose in movies over the years, but they really never reflected her true broadcasting style.  Her name however, has gone down in history.  Here is a link to the Wikipedia article about her.
