My webhost provider shut down the forum without any notice on the evening of 7/23. It appears they were upset about mylane sending out a mass e-mail to all of our users. Why they did this without discussing it with me is unprofessional. I think in future, to avoid any problems with them is that I will create a mailing list and use that to mail users to this forum. After I told them what was going on, they immediately brought the forum back up. No apology from them though. It just goes to show you who knows systems administration and who doesn't. They also complained about my cgi-irc client in the Chat area of my website without even checking what it did and what the script connected to. My apologies for the outage and let's hope I gave them a bit of a clue on systems administration.
