I have added the Google AdSense banner to this forum to help to defray the cost of hosting it. Other forums of this type run AdSense with varying degrees of success. I chose this size because I don't want it to "overwhelm" the forum page you see. Each click on any ad results in 10 cents my way. That helps me maintain this forum and website. Thanks!

It's actually a cool idea, Mike. As long as they don't keep popping up anytime , anywhere on the page, like what's happening on other sites, haha. And I don't see any nasty affect, anyway.

So, folks feel free to visit those sites banner. In every click, it's a 10cents contribution. Cool, isnt it? ;D

Yes Kris, I don't like those floating popup ads either. This type of text ad that Google has is very unintrusive and I have it set to be at the same part of every page. I will be adding another banner engine that is graphical but smaller than the Google AdSense banner. It will sit next to the Google banner. This banner engine will be my own effort however, and will, in the beginning, feature ads that only have to do with my business. Instead of a ad revenue engine, it is more of a way to show clients what I can do for them on their sites.

Great Idea Ree. I noticed the Ad Banner awhile back and personally I think it's a Great Idea to help off-set some of the costs of Hosting and Maintaining this site for all our Collective use and benefit.

I would like to help create a "Banner Day" every few months where we would encourage all the Reg's who use FreeWorld to click on the Banner Ad atleast 100 times, so that it would generate a Hundred Dollars or so for the upkeep fees.

I think that's a small price in web time to pay for all the sweat, money and countless hours Reebop spends on this site on a daily and yearly basis.

What does everyone think? [smiley=peace.gif]
