This thread showcases the Philippine's finest attractions. Everyone's welcome to post. K, I'll start with Mt. Mayon.... I see it everyday but I never get tired of its beauty.


Mayon Volcano is found in the province of Albay in the Bicol Region. It's name came from the word "Magayon" which means "beautiful" in the Bicolano dialect. Its almost perfectly-shaped cone is considered by many people to be more beautiful than Mt. Fuji in Japan.  A few kilometers to the south of the volcano is Legazpi City. Mayon is the most active volcano in the country, having erupted around 50 times for the past 400 years, the biggest of which was in 1814, which buried the whole town of Cagsawa. The most recent was on year 2001. Here's a few shots.... Enjoy.

Wow! Mount Mayon is beautiful.  The Island of Corrigidor looks nice too.

How often does Mount Mayan smoke?  Not erupt completely, just let out steam?

Thanks.  ;) Yes I think it's really pretty. Um, I think it normally let out steam Matt. 'Coz you can always see it coming out of its peak.... but when it's an eruption, its really different because it let's out a really huge wisp of smoke, then after that there will be ashes falling off....and also some lava flows... ;)

This is The Peninsula- Manila, one of the most upscale hotels in Manila.
It's actually along Ayala Avenue corner Makati Avenue, Makati City

Hey Krissy, I was there last year for some free basic training about ASP.net sponsored  by Microsoft, they offered free meal thats why i decided to attend.....ahihihihi....damn i wish i can afford to stay in one of their rooms...lol lol... ;D

they got a nice lobby and cute bellboys....lol lol ;D

Oh yeah Mylane? I took this pic last new year very early in the morning when we passed by.We had our new year there in the Phils and came back right after attending some parties and seeing some of our relatives whom we could possibly met near us.

I havent tried checking in to these hotel though.
